Will you or won't you
Characters: Anybody and everybody
Setting: Floor 1, before noon
Summary: Riki's offered a way to help keep the Tower powered a little longer. Obviously this is going to cause a lot of discussion and debate so let's CONSOLIDATE
Warnings: Nothing as of yet. Possibly eventually, so keep an eye on subject lines and I 'll try to change to reflect any developments
[No doubt Riki's announcement would be polarizing, but the instructions themselves were clear: Floor 1 at noon if you want to help out. And if you want to meet people, try to talk them in or out of it? Or hell, maybe even just talk about the revelation on who is behind those explosions? Well, this is as good a place as any for that too.
Just remember to be careful near the staircase]

[...'Deadline', he mentally noted, was probably an ominous term for it.]
[Regardless, he stood with his back to a wall on floor one without the usual sunglasses on his head and smoking like a chimney. Though the lecturer seemed calm enough, the deeply-set frown was a hint he was very, very displeased with the matter at hand.]

It's too convenient it's Jason, don't you think?

[Waver hadn't bothered telling Diarmuid he'd be going along with Riki--it was obvious the knight would do the same. Their crossing paths was inevitable, so he simply didn't even bother to acknowledge it.]
On one hand, it is too convenient. On the other, I'd believe Jason insane enough to do it--which could be the point, give the easy and believable answer. Even so, there's two problems. One, we don't know that Riki is lying or otherwise wrong about any of this. Two: There's a real chance we're properly fucked if we brush this off with a laugh and 'yeah, right'.

If he is going to volunteer--and he most certainly is--he has no right to argue against Waver volunteering as well. That's all there is to it.]
Considering all the people here, I don't think we need to worry about point two. That just leaves...
[He frowns.]
You realize the last time we acted to follow the directions of an administrator we thought we could trust, we ended up powering down the Tower and setting this deadline. I just hope this energy Riki is collecting is actually used to power and repair the Tower and not used for something else.

[It's a reluctant agreement, but an agreement nonetheless.]
Are you as uneasy about Riki telling Ruana about Jason as I am? Not that I like him, but the last Administrator that went against her...
[...was Dax and they both know what his 'punishment' was.]

[Here's a sandwich for the road, them, Waver, gently wrapped in a napkin. Asch has damn near a basket full of the things tucked under one arm.]
no subject
[At least he was aware it was stupid, right? Waver took the sandwich with a slight sigh, looking from Asch to the basket.]
Came prepared, I notice.

[He sets the basket on a nearby counter.]

[Reno's not going to put on the kid gloves, sorry Waver. But at least he isn't like last time, all steel and cold. He's more... sober.]
no subject
[Not even arguing. It was insane, and he realized as much.]
no subject
[Because he couldn't think of anything else to say. Waver's too set on his stupidity. Even the sainted logic of the logic fairy wouldn't bring him around.]

Taiki is a little bit confused, but he gets the gist of things, it was Jason making the explosions, this one wrecked the power. And if they didn't do anything they would all die or be lost on their dead worlds forever.
For Taiki that wasn't a choice at all, he had come here to help because it was something he could do. And a problem he could actually help solve was rare for a tiny holy creature who became sick around blood and couldn't fight at all.]
Are you... are you going to help too?

[Lancer walks over to the familiar man.]
...I really hope you're not gonna go with Riki's plan.
[He's saying this not because he has any severe dislike of Riki (though there was still some mild dislike from the fact that Riki was one of the administrators), but because he knows that Diarmuid wouldn't want his Master to be put into danger.]

[He sighs.]
So where's Diarmuid now? I'll go talk to him?
[If anyone has to volunteer and risk their lives, then it would be Lancer. Not his brother. Not his friends.]
