[After finding out the tower's been restocked, Genda's well past raided the fridge by now - he's cooked everything he knows how, prepared tons of homestyle meals, and now?
He's got it all spread out on a table and he is stuffing his face.
Genda's also made sure to avoid anything he deems inedible, too. Which means no poisonous foods, and definitely no vegetables, yuck.

You're free to the food too, of course! As it is, he's probably going to offer anyway.
... Not that he wouldn't be able to eat it all himself.]

[ Once he's satisfied with his hair up in a rather messy ponytail (but stylish of course), Aphrodi crawls over to pet the penguins too. ]

Aah, lookie they're such cuties!

[whatpenguin]

They are. All animals are cute, but definitely them!

[This just goes to show how good Genda is with animals, surely; they're just content sitting in his lap getting pet, for now!]

[ Aphrodi laughs a little at the comment. Sounds like someone's biased towards penguins. ]

Yes, yes they are. [ He pets them more. They're so well-behaved. ]

Do you think we should name them?

[whatpenguin]

[Well - he actually loves cats much more, but he hasn't found any here...]

If you'd like to. They'll be staying with you, most likely.

[errandwings]

That's okay! [ He tilts his head to one side. ] You have grumpy room mates?

I don't know what to name them though... [ He coos at the penguins. ] Do you already have names~?

[whatpenguin]

Oh, no - I don't even know my roommates, really. I just thought you'd like to have them with you!

[... Again, he's more partial to cats -
One of the penguins looks to Aprodi and squawks, though.]

... Haha; maybe he thinks he understands you!

[errandwings]

I would! But you can visit anytime, of course. [ Since Genda helped catch them, after all.

Aphrodi laughs and pokes the penguin that squawked playfully on the head. ]

You trying to tell me your name? I can't understand penguin, though!

[Kidou had wandered into the aquarium that evening to look at some penguins and get some thoughts straightened out. They were going to start a resistance, that was something that needed special care and a lot of planning. And was it even going to be successful? Should they really try to make something like that and risk everyone's lives for nothing? It seemed like a great idea at first, but now that he's had some time to think about it, he wasn't so sure.

He was a bit lost in thought, but he heard Aphrodi and Genda's voice up ahead which snapped him out of it. He tilts his head curiously and walks over, hands in pockets.]

Yo Genda, Aphrodi.

[whatpenguin]

-- Ah, hey, Kidou.

[... O-oh no - he got so upset about him keeping penguins last time...

... And one of the penguins squawk, of course.]

[errandwings]

[ Aphrodi waves. ]

Hello! [ completely oblivious. ]

[pengeen]

[He looks to the penguins, then back at the other two.]

...you plan on putting them back soon, right? [Genda]

[whatpenguin]

... W-well, er...

[N-no? 8D]

[errandwings]

[ He blinks. Is he missing something...? ]

Is it not allowed to keep them as pets?

[pengeen]

[He sighs.]

It's allowed, but I would prefer it that you didn't keep them.

... I made sure they aren't young...

[He doesn't mean to sound pouty, but well - he really wants a pet...!]

Then it should be okay, right?

[ The penguins like them! He thinks! ]

[pengeen]

[That gets a cold glare from Kidou.] It doesn't matter if they're young or not, you're still taking them from their families.

If Haruna and I were older, would it be alright to separate us? Would it be any different then separating us when we're children?

[whatpenguin]

[Genda looks up at him, confused -]

That's not the same at all, Kidou - it's not a fair comparison!

[errandwings]

[ Oh dear. Aphrodi doesn't like the way this is going. He's going to get less time if this goes on. ]

They'll still be in the tower...

[pengeen]

[He addresses Aphrodi first, trying to talk a bit more calm with him] When an animal has been in contact with humans for too long, it won't be accepted by other animals anymore so it really doesn't matter if they're in the tower still.

[And then he'll turn to Genda and take a step forward, clenching his fists and raising his voice a bit.] How is it not a fair comparison? Family is family, no matter what kind!

[whatpenguin]

[Is Kidou... yelling at him? About penguins? Genda looks shocked.]

Kidou - they aren't people. Penguins and people don't have the same feelings about family!
You're projecting upon them!

[ Aphrodi nods in reply to Kidou. Okay, so he doesn't know that much. Maybe it was a bad idea.

But why is he getting so angry? And why is everyone getting so angry? ]

H- Hey how about we just put the penguins back and leave it at that?

[pengeen]

[Hold on Aphrodi, his jimmies are a bit ruffled by Genda's comment.]

That doesn't matter! Even if they have feelings or not, it's still wrong to separate them! That would be like if you took an infant from their family. They can't remember anything of their previous family but the fact that they were taken away still stands!

[whatpenguin]

[He puts the penguins to the side then - giving them to Aphrodi, really - so he can stand, obviously a bit ruffled as well. Sorry, 'Phrodi.]

That isn't the same at all, Kidou!
Do you even know how families work with birds?
You're projecting human concepts and feelings on animals that don't have them - it isn't fair to anyone! Not us or the birds!

[You do NOT argue animals with Genda. DO NOT.]

[ He'll take the penguins, but puts one of them down so he can stand as well. He doesn't like being on the floor when everyone is standing.

Aphrodi doesn't want to take a step back from what looks to be a building argument if he can stop it. ]
