[ if he gets to choose one weapon, that's perfectly fine by him. three guesses as to what it is. if you guessed sickle, then you'd be right.

he's judging the weight in his hand and slashing it through the air a few times to get a feel for it. ]

You know... I'd kind of like to be left alone for one fucking month. Guess that's a little much to ask for.

I, I thought they would have resolved all of this last month. Riki won. [Tara will be keeping well back from Karkat while he's testing out that sickle.

Instead, she paces around the immediate area of the room, making for the door and generally trying to keep her mind focused so as to avoid feeling her frustration over having her powers disabled. She had a feeling that even trying to astral project would end unfortunately for her.]

Guess they just, um, can't stop competing. Like, um, like pushing the boulder up the hill. Sisyphus.

[She hears something moving beyond the door. The noise, soft and faint as it is, makes her step sharply back with a sharp gasp.]

...w-we really have to go out there? [She hates the way her voice comes out as a squeak, but that doesn't change anything.]

[Their first puzzle is over, but it hardly makes Minako feel any better when-- after just one blink of an eye-- she's suddenly stuck in a cell that's hanging pretty precariously up near the ceiling of the room. By what, she doesn't know, and she doesn't think she wants to find out in case it's a little rope that's fraying in the middle like in the cartoons. Minako crawls to the edge and clutches at the bars, peeking down at the cells below her.]

Guys? Are you there? Is anyone else in a cell?

[Riku can't really quite shake that feeling of dread that is starting to settle in his gut - these sort of things hardly ever start out at their hardest after all. There is not really much choice for them other than to go on head raised high, as he had pointed out himself already, so really... he sees no need to linger on it too much. Especially not, when at very least one of them seems quite nervous about facing whatever the tower administrators are holding in store for them.

He takes a moment to re-orientate himself, frowning as he feels along the bars of this cell... carefully testing them, to see if he'd be able to free himself - though given that his powers are still being blocked, that he can't feel the tingle of Soul Eater's familiar presence beneath the skin of his palm or the darkness and light in the people he's trapped with... it seems more than unlikely.

When he hears Minako calling from not to far above him, he's just about to re-arrange his position into something more comfortable, head turning up towards her after a moment.]

Looks like it.

GROUP TWO

[This really wasn't where Yuko wanted to wake up hung over from Maya's party the day before. An unfamiliar dorm room, with three others she didn't know passed out along with her, in their own beds.

The accompanying note she found didn't make her feel any less nauseous. Five days to escape, or die. Nope, no pressure at all.

She started to call out to the others to wake up, but stopped as her stomach churned and the taste of bile formed in the back of her throat. Wonderful way to start her first experiment in this place.]

GROUP THREE

[Elian has no weapons. He really doesn't need them. As long as he's able to use his Absolute Perception, that's all he needs. He blinks, looks around, and proceeds to read the letter with a scoff.]

Intriguing.

The letter was already crumpled in Shinjiro's hand. He'd been wondering when he'd be stuck again in one of these little experiments of theirs, and figures it be without those he knew. Whatever.

"Tch. This is bullshit." He didn't find it intriguing in the least, having witness first-hand what it was like with the maze. Also he was grumpy, but that was not new.

_{[Waking up in bland dorm rooms to mysterious notes isn't unusual for residents of the tower, and Kohaku scans this new note quickly before realizing the other inhabitants of the room are different than usual.]}

There's a sound of crumpling paper and an annoyed growl, followed by a paper ball being tossed across the room. Momotaros pushes off the bed, and attempts to call his sword forth, but gets a load of nothing. "DAMN IT!" He hauls off and kicks the bed, though it doesn't do him much good.

GROUP SEVEN

[Waking up in a unfamiliar environment was something Kidou was starting to get used to. Though it wasn't much different from his own dorm, expect the others sharing the dorm with him were people he hardly recognized.

The note next to him was a bit nostalgic, though. It reminded him of when he first arrived in the Tower a little over four months ago, and he found himself smirking as he crumpled the note after reading it.

5 days, huh?]

Tch... They could have at least waited a full month before setting something up again.

GROUP EIGHT

[Waking up like this again - it felt kind of weird. Especially since this is definitely not his dorm room because it smells too clean to be.

The note as a bit disconcerting of course. Only five days...]

... I suppose it was just a matter of time before I got stuck in something like this.

Selene was less than amused to find herself stuck in a room with complete strangers once again. Then again, considering what she's seen in the Tower, she was by no means surprised.

Having read the note, she pried open her trunk to find it empty. Glancing around at her current company, she wondered if they too had empty trunks.

Reno is not at all surprised to be in a new room with a bunch of new people. Stranger things have happened.

After reading the note he begins digging through the trunk and asessing the room and those in it with a trained eye. He could probably take the old man and the red haired one easily enough if it came down to it.

Not that he wanted that to be the solution.

"Anyone here trained in this?" He asked, frowning.

GROUP ELEVEN

Kuja is... not happy to once again be at the mercy of the vicissitudes of the Tower and those who run it. He reads the note without comment and checks the contents of his trunk before speaking to anyone. Ten ethers. Unlikely to be used, but there are worse things to have. Now to address the others, no one he recognizes.

"Not much of a deadline, I'm afraid. I think we should make an attempt sooner rather than later."
