Characters: Kidou, Mami (BoF), Ryuunosuke, Reno [AU], Momotaros, David Lalonde [AU], Kairi [AU], Elena, Allen [AU] and YOU.
Setting: Cafeteria as a start, then around the floors.
Format: Action
Summary: Lezard picked at random a few test subjects, it's to say the nine characters mentioned above. Only to see if his potion that transforms people into demons works in the tower. And it does work! Party time? You can meet them while they are under the potion's effect.
Warnings: Good people growing stronger, getting more resistant and going totally mad/feral. Or even worse, turning into full-fledged blood-thirsty demoniac creatures. Lots of pain before, during and after the transformation. Deadly random encounters if you happen to meet them. Heart-wrenching mercy kills. Aside from that? Nothing really.


OOC Information
Lezard will barely appear in this log, only to provide his potion to the victims. He will disappear immediately afterward and his involvement in this horror will remain secret. The nine characters are going to drink Ghoul Powder; a special potion used by Necromancers. It drives those who drink it crazy and turn them into either a Demon or an Undead. There are no known cure to Ghoul Powder, hence the only way for characters to be released from the potion's effect is for them to die. Because it's mostly a pre-plotted log, the threads where the characters are meant to die will be closed; but the threads where you can have a random encounter with the demon-ified / undead-ified characters will be open.

Characters under Ghoul Powder's effect are much stronger than usual, much more resistant and merciless for the most part. The threads where they transform, the players will chose whether to keep them open or closed.

There are two kinds of transformation that will happen in this log, the Demon Transformation and the Undead Transformation as mentioned before. Demon Transformation is the worse by far as the characters not only go mad but turns intoa true, complete demons as shown here. Undead Transformation has the same effect, but the characters can keep their normal form as shown here.

How it works: Basically, right after drinking it the characters will feel very uncomfortable and painful for both version of the potion. The pain will keep growing for a couple minutes inside of them, up to the point it is unbearable. They can also feel like something demonic/evil is growing inside of them and taking over, so to say. The pain remains but becomes barely noticeable once the potion takes full effects, since the characters go mad/feral/etc. They become a lot stronger and more resistant to attacks. And of course, they attack whoever they happen to see.

A few seconds before dying, they may regain their sanity and/or human appearance. Like, to say thank you to the one(s) who killed them.

Turning a Turk in to a demon had never been a good idea, and doing it to good turks was a worse one. The tower was probably lucky that it had Cloud in it at the moment, because while Reno had twisted to avoid being sliced in half he hadn't been quite fast enough to dodge properly and more crimson smeared across the floor as he reeled.

Someting popped somewhere in his knees, joint sliding painfully as they shrank and buckled under the weight of the rest of him. For the first time in hours he could think for a moment before the red rage boiled over him again and he snarled as he clawed himself upright agaisnt the wall.

It was struggling against the wall, the slice not doing enough damage to down it and Cloud could feel the hitch in his side from swinging around his sword. He still had plenty of energy, enough to summon energy from the materia in his hidden armband. Under the mesh black sleeve was a blue flash of light as the Mastered Contain flared with energy. Cloud's breath came out in a fine mist of ice as the temperature dropped around him. He dropped his sword into the floor as the activated materia drew more energy, forming larger ice crystals around the demon, their spiked edges pointing at it.

A sharp 'Freeze' from the blond's lips. A sound of icicles falling onto snow. The air tasting of a bitter cold night high in the mountains as the magic was released at the demon.

The cry of pain gurgled short as the spears of ice tore through him, ripping him apart further as he shrank around him and struggled uselessly against them in a futile attempt at freeing himself. Fingers were even more useless than the claws, and by the time the ice dissipated he fell with a wet sound to the floor.

Number six... or was it seven? Five?

Reno didn't know and it honestly probably didn't matter at this point. It wasn't going to last long enough for him to enjoy the quiet peace that death brought, and he was just so tired now of being forced to carry on.

It was funny, really and the hollow, wet bark of laughter that could have easily been mistaken for a sob that came out was uncontrolled as he lay there.

At least he wasn't dying alone, right?

He staggered at the shock from hitting the creature, at the way the magic bled from him like a spear to the gut. Cloud gripped his sword's hilt to keep from falling, narrowing his eyes against the bitter breeze blowing past him. And then it was over and the ice dissipated. The air warmed and he wasn't going to collapse against the pull of energy.

Cloud bit his lip. He let go of his sword and moved over to the fallen Turk, crouching down. He wasn't sure were to touch, if he could and was cursing the fact that he did not have a Cure. But even as he thought it, he knew. A cure wouldn't have saved Rusty anyways.

"Reno..."

A Full Heal would have, or a phoenix down but neither of them had one on them. He would have been angrier at Cloud for doing it anyway and wasting the energy and item for it.

He'd gone numb, and his fingers twitched as he tried to move.

"s'okay Blondie... not scared." A smile twitched on his face, "Don' tell Teng."

Cloud sucked in his breath, wanting to say something comforting but not having any words. It was always horrible to kill someone even though he could without any hesitation. It was worse when he knew the person. Whatever they were in the past - Turk and AVALANCHE - didn't matter now, or so he had hoped.

At Reno's request not to tell Tseng, Cloud snorted and shook his head. "I doubt he would need anyone to tell him." A second and he touched Reno's shoulder lightly, not minding the blood and the ice. "I know you aren't."
