Summary: Lucifel's first day in the tower, he awakens to find out that there is something not quite right with him...
Warnings: None at the moment.

[Sleeping was something Lucifel has never done before in his life since he was created by God. So it's a great surprise for him to find himself lying in a bed and especially being somewhere that is neither Heaven nor Earth. Well, as surprised as he could be.

When he was finally able to move he feels the collar around his neck, trying with all his strength to get it off but fails. Not even a second later his eyes are staring at himself. Heaven, whoever made him wear this suit has not even the slightest sense for fashion... where are his clothes anyways? His cellphone seems to be gone as well.

The archangel then notices two letters, both were directed at him. The one that said that his home world got destroyed just got a look of disbelief from him. Sure, whatever makes the one who sent this happy. The other he found just as hard to believe. Then again, who would make such a joke?

At least one thing was true. The trunk had all of his belongings inside, his clothes, which he quickly changed back into, and even his cellphone. Said phone is shut off for a reason unknown to him and he couldn't make it work either. He would figure something out later and slides his phone into the right back-pocket of his jeans.

Lucifel lifts his left hand, he wouldn't stay here longer than necessary, then flicks his fingers to get himself home.

Nothing happens.]

You must be kidding me...

[He gives it one, two, three more tries and he is still here. Alright. Looks like he is forced to take a look around.

Honestly, he is not amused.]

No, not you. And I can't imagine God as a tyrant, either. But for a few people here...it is their reality.

*As far as universes go...they were lucky, Enoch thinks.*

[He's calmer than he was earlier, and he shrugs away from Enoch's hand.]

You have a friend to reunite with, and I have one to mourn. Besides, I have a feeling I won't be welcome much longer.

[Aleph not being welcome isn't really an issue right now, it's more the load of information he gets, as well as this whole "there is a place where god is a tyrant" business that's getting too much.

But if Aleph wishes to leave, Lucifel won't stop him.]

*He never even knew he was here...maybe that's for the best, all things considered.

When Aleph shrugs off his hand, the other slides off of Lucifel's shoulder to rest at his side.*

...I'm sorry.

It's all right. I really hope things go well for you two, Enoch.

[He looks like he has something else to say for a moment, before shaking his head and walking off without anything further.]

[He already started to wonder if that hand would ever leave his shoulder. Lucifel says nothing and only crosses his arms as he watches aleph leave.]

*Enoch recognizes Aleph is the kind to mourn alone. So he watches him leave too, his head down.

For a moment, he doesn't move, until he turns his head a little to look at Lucifel, still silent.*

What's with that face Enoch? It's not like you could do something.

[He just shrugs.]

I'm the one who brought up those bad memories for him.

*Never mind that even knowing what he'd done in his world caused him pain.*

[Sorry Enoch, he can't really help with that one.]

*Yeah. He figured you can't. That's fine. Enoch's going to shuffle closer to him anyway.*

...To cause another man pain...is itself painful.

[And he expects him to understand something like that? Him, who has never been in pain before?]

*He's...trying to help him make sense of it. Eventually he just sighs and gives up. He hopes he got the idea across, at least.*

*If it hadn't been, uh...dampened by what just happened.*

[Enoch had been able to do that much, but Lucifel doesn't get it. It's not like he could change the situation, so what?]

You act like you haven't seen me for ages, it only seems like yesterday to me when I last saw you.

[Which could also have been at any other time.]

It will be a year in two months' time.

*It doesn't seem like a lot in comparison, but time can't just blur the same way in this place.*

[He raises his eyebrow at that.]

A year? Are you serious?

*Enoch nods.*

Three months in another world called Meridian, and seven here.

Impossible, just recently we accomplished our mission.

[None of that makes much sense to him...]

*...Wow, that's three for one. Why does everyone but him come from after the mission is complete?*

And before I found myself in Meridian, I had only just seen Armaros's Nephilim. Worlds like these...they seem to be outside of time.

I admit, that's more than strange. But it seems that way, regarding this world.

[Very well, how to handle this... the best would be if he doesn't tell him about what happened during the mission, just to get sure that he won't mess things up.]

Meridian was the same...Armaros was there...

*No, Enoch, don't choke up...* ...he was from after our mission, as well.

... He was?

[Now that was... interesting. More than interesting.]

[warriorscribe]

*Enoch nods, taking a deep breath to keep the tears back. The moment he first woke up in the ruins of Meridian may have become pushed to the back of his mind, but he still remembered what he did for most of it: lie on the beach, after burying Armaros.*

He was.

*And he will be forever, now.*

[... Okay, Enoch seems upset, that much he can tell from just looking at the scribe. If he says the wrong thing now then he will cry and Heaven help him, he can't deal with crying humans.

For once it might be better to just switch the topic and not pursue this any further. Compared to some other angels, he isn't as tactless. but what topic to switch to?

His stomach does this for him by growling. And no, that look of surprise isn't faked.]

*That snaps Enoch out of the beginnings of mourning, too.*

You're...hungry? *he asks, sounding as if he can't quite believe it, himself.*
