[OPEN] MAGICAL MIDGET ADVENTURES... STARTO!
Characters: [AU7] Waver Velvet, OPEN
Setting: Dormitory floors, fourth floor, random floors.
Format: Action
Summary: Waver searches for her family, sulks around as Wavers do, and then explores a little.
Warnings: May include monsters etc. I'll update accordingly.
Dormitories
[Waver doesn't want to believe what she's been told. It would be so much easier to tell herself this is a prank, or she's being held for ransom, or... something. And that's why, as soon as she's able, the magus wanders the dormitory floors with only one goal on her mind...]
Brother! Brother? Derry! Where have you gone? Derry...!
[The girl's search for her sibling is more than a little frantic, and she'll stop to ask anyone if they've seen him, whether she recognises them or not.]
Floor 4
[After giving up her search, Waver can be found sulking in an out-of-the-way chair with her bowl of oatmeal and a small pile of books pilfered from the library. Every now and then she makes a note of something on her phone, but for the most part she just looks like your average Waver, trying to distract herself.]
???
[Eventually she'll get bored with reading and attempt to go exploring. She's not daft enough to leave the stairs on any floor that looks suspicious, but sometimes things don't go according to plan, do they? It only occurs to her after some time that she should probably rush back to her room before nightfall, if what she heard was true...]

It's not like I mind. It's an easy enough assumption to make. I assumed you didn't have siblings like me. I just don't understand how it can be so different, when we're clearly supposed to be the same person.
[Except, well, there's second magic. But fuck that.]

[Waver can't help frowning just thinking about it, so she reaches over to snoop through his books as a distraction.]
no subject
Oh, you met the older one already, huh? He's pretty sarcastic and all, but...
['he's nice', or something. He doesn't know exactly what to say. But he does like his older self so far.]
Well, Professor Archibald thinks I'm useless. So if he doesn't think you are, that's a big enough difference already.

[Words that might sound pompous coming from any other Archibald, but with that sincere smile of hers, there's no doubt it's good-natured teasing. The smile doesn't stick, though.]
Is it odd to be a little envious? I love papa, but sometimes I wonder if it wouldn't be easier for him to not have such high expectations. If my scores or spells are less than perfect, it's a dramatic tragedy. I can't go on a date with this or that boy because they aren't good enough. I can't wear this or that dress to a fancy dinner because it's not flattering enough. He always finds fault in everything anyone tries to offer me.
[She's just going on about things she would only tell Derry or Enkidu, but who can one turn to, if not themselves?]
...I probably sound like an entitled brat for complaining when he means well, but it's suffocating.

...
What are yours like?
no subject
-Uh, mine are...well, we didn't get to the point of talking about that sort of thing either way. They were good parents, I don't think I can really complain. They died, some years ago.
no subject
Wait. If you're an only child and an orphan... do you just not... have family?
[That's such an odd, depressing concept that she can't even fathom it. She knows her family has problems, even if she pretends not to, but she still loves them. She can't even imagine being alone...]
no subject
[Well, there's Glenn and Martha...in a way...]
I live alone, it's better for focusing on magecraft, really.

[In a way, she feels like she's just found a purpose in this place. She lost her papa, and Derry isn't the same Derry at all, and nothing can replace him ever, but maybe... maybe she can be a sister to someone who needs it more than she needs her brother. He'd be proud of that.]
We're practically twins already, right? So I'll be your family.
no subject
[This family thing, on the other hand...well, it might not be so bad. He wouldn't know what else to call their relation. The older one is just that, older, and from an alternate world where he summoned a different Servant. But this Waver seems to have very little in common with either of them, aside from being a Waver.]
I guess that's true. It would make things easy to just call you family.
no subject
[Okay, so maybe she has simple desires in life. So what?]
...And we're not just going to call each other family, we're going to be family!

Scandalising the Mage's Association sounds right up my alley.
[And maybe the games too. Okay, definitely the games too.]
Right, well, same thing.
