Summary: Waver searches for her family, sulks around as Wavers do, and then explores a little.

Dormitories

[Waver doesn't want to believe what she's been told. It would be so much easier to tell herself this is a prank, or she's being held for ransom, or... something. And that's why, as soon as she's able, the magus wanders the dormitory floors with only one goal on her mind...]

Brother! Brother? Derry! Where have you gone? Derry...!

[The girl's search for her sibling is more than a little frantic, and she'll stop to ask anyone if they've seen him, whether she recognises them or not.]


Floor 4

[After giving up her search, Waver can be found sulking in an out-of-the-way chair with her bowl of oatmeal and a small pile of books pilfered from the library. Every now and then she makes a note of something on her phone, but for the most part she just looks like your average Waver, trying to distract herself.]

[Eventually she'll get bored with reading and attempt to go exploring. She's not daft enough to leave the stairs on any floor that looks suspicious, but sometimes things don't go according to plan, do they? It only occurs to her after some time that she should probably rush back to her room before nightfall, if what she heard was true...]

I have yet to meet either of them, so I wouldn't know.

[A slight smile appears on her face.]

But I'm sure you'd be very handsome. Like your father or your brother.

Mm, I think I'd make a very cute boy... probably! I'll have to find them and see.

[This is such a weird conversation to have, but if it keeps the topic away from more unpleasant things, Waver doesn't mind one bit.]

...Be careful. You don't know what their worlds were like.

[That was one part of it. The other part is that the only thing which could encourage Waver's willfulness more than Diarmuid was her other selves.]

That... That's true! They could be absolutely awful people!

[Sola-ui nods, satisfied that her warnings seem to have had their effect this time around.]

So please, do watch who you talk to, even if they are the people you know. Some of them have valuable information on this place, but a fair number could be dangerous.

[This would be where she says "I have Derry with me, everything is fine." But she doesn't, and it isn't. Instead Waver nods and smiles half-heartedly.]

I'll be careful, mum.

Good. And tell me if anyone threatens you, alright?

[She would do whatever little she could to protect her daughter.]

I will! Don't worry, I won't let anyone intimidate me, and I won't do anything stupid.

[This is a promise she'll try her hardest to keep. With everything else on her mum's mind, Waver doesn't need to add to it...]

Good girl. Now, do you wish to go anywhere? I'll accompany you there if I'm familiar with it.

I think I may just look around. I'm hungry, but I don't know that I can handle eating at the moment.
