I'll be the one to crucify you
Characters: Ryoji Mochizuki and you!
Setting: Various. Just pick a floor!
Format: Any
Summary: Ryoji begins patrolling the tower as part of his duties as a Group B drone.
Warnings: Brainwashing, body horror, and surgical modifications. Ryoji's also killing people that are disobedient and/or associated with death, so there's going to be lots of violence and murder.
A: Dormitory Floors (not malfuctioning)
Ryoji knows it's been about a week since he's been on the dormitory floors. He disappeared on the eighth, after one of those retrieval units kidnapped him. Jason was experimenting on people, and Ryoji had been one of them. It was extremely painful, but that didn't matter at all. He's not hurting anymore, and he's not upset. He's grateful, in fact. It's been so long since he was anything more than a burden to others. The administrators have given him worth now, and he is going to make sure he doesn't take that for granted.
He makes his round through the dormitory floors, never faltering, not even when someone he should know tries to get his attention. His job is more important than that. Sometimes he'll catch a resident misbehaving or a worker unit failing to accomplish its duties, and he'll approach, one hand poised to pull out the scythe embedded in his head and cut down the offender. Other than that, he just walks, small puddles of acid leaving a trail to show where he's been and where he has yet to be.
B: Any other floor (malfunctioning)
He has no idea how he got up here. He was supposed to be patrolling the residence floors, not anywhere else. Yet he's here now, and he stands still a few moments trying to understand why...
And then, suddenly, he can feel it. Death, all around him, hanging around each person like a fog. The sensation is almost overwhelming, sickening. So much death, ready to take away the souls trapped in the Tower in an instant. Every single resident here is fated to die...
And well, Ryoji can provide that, right? All these residents here were avoiding their fate, and wasn't that against the rules? He had to punish those who misbehaved. It would be cruel, but they deserved it. Every last one of them.

Leave us. This has nothing to do with you. I need to punish him for disobeying.
[Can't they sense it too? The fog of death around Edgeworth? It wasn't going to go away unless Ryoji brought about what was fated and killed him. That was the only way...]

[Punish him for disobeying? Disobeying who? The administrators? Edgeworth could not think of a particular reason he had to provoke those in charge. On the other hand, did he need a significant reason to? There were monsters roaming about the tower, some of the floors were incredibly dangerous without the monsters, one of the administrators had eaten someone, another liked to experiment on people....
Edgeworth knew that the latter administrator was in charge of this month (which had made him severely worried). He had heard it on the network and knew that there were people who had vanished. After all, one of the Lancers in his room was missing.
This boy.....if he was not a monster, could his appearance have been due to Jason as well? And did the same thing happen to Proto Lancer?
Edgeworth gripped his arm with his other hand to limit the amount of blood coming out (not that he was sure it would do him much good).] And I don't.....suppose you......would tell me....what.....I have...done....to deserve this? [The likelihood was that this was to do with Jason, but just in case...]

He then glares irritated at Link's confused expression, nodding at her, then jerking his head towards Ryoji - she is the one with the weapons after all and they will all only benefit if Riku makes it out of the range of the power drain.]
SORRY FOR THE WAIT I DIDN'T GET MY NOTIF....
Riku should be able to get through the barrier (it blocks intent to harm, not intent to help), but if Ryoji tries to harm Edgeworth, it SHOULD stop him until the magic runs out in about a minute or two's time. Should, anyway, Link can only hope their magic is strong enough to withstand whatever... this... thing is that Jason has turned whoever this is into. This finished, Link is quick to leave Edgeworth's side, grab their blade, and instead directly block Ryoji's path toward the other man, shield raised defensively. They're not going to attack if they can help it. Link knew this poor person wasn't like this normally, it stunk of Jason's usual work, and the collar's odd pink color told them as much... but they would NOT allow this poor defenseless man to be killed while they were here, not if they could help it.
Link will be your opponent for now, Ryoji. Don't worry, Riku, just get that blasted scythe out of Edgeworth and then get out of here. ]
... Take... scythe... infirmary. Quickly.
[ It is said as loudly as Link can manage to Riku, though there is a very raspy quality to "his" voice. Link's voice is not in the best shape, and speaking is difficult and painful, but this is a situation they simply can't afford to play charades in. ]

Get rid of that shield. It's disobedient. I can't allow it.
[He rushes Link, sword scraping against their shield. Anyone else would have given up by this point, but not Ryoji. Not when he's been twisted into this unstoppable drone. He smashes against Lin's shield again and again, pushing all his weight against it. If he can't make Link fall like this, then he'll just change his tactics. He'll never give up. Link has those arrows, but Ryoji has his own unique powers. He's certain Link won't be able to hold out against all of them.
He tries to keep glancing at Edgeworth though. If Riku gets to him, then he'll have let someone escape punishment. Impossible. His masters would never accept it.]

Link's orders to Riku were pretty clear to Edgeworth. Ugh. The boy would have to take that blasted scythe out, not that there was really any other option. Either the scythe had to be taken out and Edgeworth would lose more blood or he would have to lie there and bleed to death. Edgeworth hoped that he would make it to the infirmary quickly enough.]

It would be easier if Ryoji wasn't quite that close, if he had access to his healing skills right away; there would be less chance of the victim of this assault bleeding to death anyways. Riku isn't good enough to heal much more than the worst of this wound, he knows that.
They'd have to wing it.
He takes a deep breath before straightening and closing both hands around the handle of the scythe. Better they do this quick and... well, not painless, but as little pain-inflicting as possible.]
Brace yourself!
[That's the only warning Edgeworth gets before Riku starts to pull at the weapon stuck in his shoulder.]

[ As all this is going on Link is unfortunately busy dealing with Ryoji but can tell Edgeworth is being taken care of--good. They'll keep Ryoji distracted, Riku, get him OUT OF HERE.
The rushing and bashing is difficult but Link was prepared for it, even if it knocks them back a ways (Ryoji was stronger than he looked), over and over; there's a grunt of pain but the Hylian is resilient and has been dealing with this for some time now. Their shield will not be breaking today, sorry, Ryoji.
... But they can't stay defensive... so they need to change tactics here. If Ryoji is going to try to kill them... Link has no choice but to go on the offensive. Silently, Link says a prayer in their head:
Nayru, guide me to wisdom. Din, grace me with power. Farore, give me the courage to fight those who are not themselves. It hurts but Link isn't giving up and will block Ryoji from trying to get near Edgeworth or Riku. ]
Please... forgive me, but I cannot... and I... will not!
[ And it hurts to say the words but Link's courage forces it out and there's a glowing insignia on the back of the Hylian's gloved hand for all of a moment (a golden triangle of some sort--?) before Link pours everything they have into a flurry of sweeping swordstrikes. ]
I am so so so so sorry this is late ;A;
IT'S OK I HOPE YOU DON'T MIND IF I FUCK UP OUR ORDER A BIT?
Hahahahaha I'm the one who's late now! And that's okay!
Unfortunately, even a tough person like Edgeworth could not prevent himself from crying out in agony (as much as he tried) as the scythe was drawn out of him, blood splattering onto his clothes.
When the deed was done, Edgeworth tried to keep an even tighter grip on his shoulder.]
I hope this works for you guys?
Time to make an exit!
[And the moment he has them both out of range, Riku pushes his left hand behind his back, not even looking as black flames shoot up and form a portal.]
Link!
[In a hurry they might be, but he won't leave behind the last member to this rather randomly thrown together party, not if he can help it.]
Works just fine for me!
Seeing Edgeworth and Riku getting away makes him give chase, letting his own shield drop and ignoring Link for now. He can come back to stop them after, as long as the other two don't get away.]

[ Seriously, Riku, do they need to tell you twice? Link is going after Ryoji with everything the Hero of Time has, even if that means putting everything they have into Din's Fire, so a huge wall of flames will try to block Ryoji from getting too close. There is NO WAY IN HELL Link is letting Edgeworth die--not here. ]
