Yotsuba!&..
Characters: Yotsuba Koiwai and you!
Setting: The nineteenth floor on June 19th.
Format: I'm starting in prose, but I'll match you!
Summary: After getting a note from Enoch, Yotsuba decides to search the library for more treasure: information about 'romeance'.
Warnings: None so far!
Yotsuba was always happy to get mail, especially from good friends..but her recent letter inspired her to search the library, since it seemed like it was a huuge beach where seashells and other cool things hid. So, after putting the letter in her pocket, Yotsuba ran down the stairs, careful to avoid any monsters she saw. While she was wearing her sling and sash-pouch, it was still best to avoid any trouble. When she saw the first elevator she found, she pressed the call button and waited, singing to herself to pass the time.
When she finally got onto the elevator, arrived at the meadow, and dashed into the nineteenth floor, her eyes got wide, and she couldn't help but cry out to herself. "There are a lot of gems here! They're really colurful!" Nonfiction books, of course, still looked quite nice, especially to a young child. While Yotsuba was looking for a book to explain 'romentic love', she wasn't the best reader, which resulted in her pulling the first book she found off the shelf and expecting it to have all the answers..when it was just a thin book on psychology.
As Yotsuba tried to read it, her face scrunched up a she tried to make sense of what she was reading. "F..Fruied was..de..deflunked by modern.." After trying to say 'psychologists' and not getting it, Yotsuba glared at the words, as if they were the ones responsible for not having what she was looking for. "That doesn't sound nice!! This isn't a good gem!" Yotsuba closed the book and put it back on the shelf-not in the same spot she had found it in-and kept wandering around, hoping she could find something about what she was looking for.

"I liked it too. It... reminded me of something."
no subject
"What did it remind you of?"
no subject
For when he found the right way to tell her this story... the story of Enoch.
no subject
"Really? Yotsuba would like to hear it now.."
..And the thought of romance had escaped her tiny brain entirely for the moment.
no subject
They had spent most of the day looking for a book that would explain romance.
... Now that he thought of it...
"Yotsuba we just read about romance. A sad one but romance still."
no subject
"Really?! That's super long then! But how was that story about romeance? Yotsuba doesn't know!"
no subject
Which is why he couldn't tell her the story now. and the archangel would have to think of a way to make it a child-friendly story.
"The little mermaid liked the prince a lot, didn't she? So much that she would even turn into sea foam."
no subject
"She did! But..is romeance a super form of love where you would do hurt yourself for someone?"
no subject
"I think it can go this far."
no subject
"Oh! So we found a good gem that had romeance! That was super fast!"
no subject
"We were lucky."
no subject
"We were! We were super lucky!"
After looking at the closed book in Lucifel's hands, Yotsuba looked back up at the Archangel.
"Can you read Yotsuba another story?"
no subject
"Weren't we?"
With that he thought he'd be done for today, but now that she was asking him...
"... If we find another story I can read Yotsuba one more."
no subject
"Then let's look for a another nice gem, Luci!"
no subject
"Alright, let's try find another one."
He got up with her again to look for more books with her.
no subject
"Okay! We'll find lots of wonderful gems!"
And Yotsuba, as they stood up, remembered that Lucifel didn't like the fact that the book she was carrying was pressing into his neck, so she put it on top of his head like before.
no subject
"I'm sure of that."
His hair is already ruined from her having put the book on his head before, so he didn't bother with it.
no subject
Of course, if Lucifel told Yotsuba about his hair in the future, it would suffer much less in the future as well, since she was a good little girl at heart.
"You pick a story this time, Luci! Pick a really nice gem, okay?!"
no subject
Lucifel looked at the same bookshelf where they had found the Little Mermaid. Maybe another story of the same author would be good...
"Hmm... how about 'The Ugly Duckling'?"
I'm now picturing Lucifel snapping his fingers and giving himself a bad hair day. xD;
While she had never heard of that story, Yotsuba loved animals, so she smiled and looked down at the book, further smushing Lucifel's hair as she did so.
"I've never read it..but what's a duck? And ugly?"
Yeah, it would be like that. XD
... Yeah, his hair is ruined for the day.
"Yotsuba hasn't seen ducks before?"
Let's not discuss the word ugly.
And then him trying to make it better, only for it to come out worse..
Not that Yotsuba really minded. It made him look silly, and, therefore, less intimidating than his usual spikes might.
"I haven't! I've seen a lot of other animals though! A ducky is an animal, right?"
Not that Yotsuba would mind not discussing it right now. After all, it would come up in the story.
Priceless. XD
The archangel doesn't like looking silly so much...
"Yes, it's an animal. A bird that can swim on the water."
The ducks first. And later swans he guessed.
That mental image really is wonderful! xD;
He'll have all the time he wants to fix it later then, since Yotsuba would have to leave eventually.
"Oh! That's super cool then! That's a good birdie then! Can we read about him?!"
Swans would hopefully be covered in the story, since the duck didn't know he was a swan at first either.
Ain't it?
"We can read about him."
Lucifel smiled and took the book about the duckling and placed the Little Mermaid back before he went to go back to the seat they had earlier.
It is..and it'll probably turn into the smallest snippet of a story later, knowing me. ^^;
Ehehehe X3
