Midsummer Bash

Setting: Floor 25, July 5, afternoon
Format: Open
Summary: Lancer throws a party for midsummer, since the Tower obviously needs a breather.
Warnings: None so far.

[To be honest, Lancer wanted to have the party in the evening, sometime around twilight. That would have been the most romantic time for it. Unfortunately, when in the Tower, one had to account for things like monsters. As a result, he had to hold it during the afternoon. But it wasn't too bad of a compromise.]

[This was, of course, a more simple affair than Diarmuid's birthday. For food, he had hauled a couple of tables up here and lined the table with dinner food. The centerpiece was a cake which had a heart drawn on it in red frosting. In one corner of the meadow, he had used some boxes and tarp to make some sort of booth where people could hide from the sun (and steal kisses off of each other). In the center of the meadow, he had piled a large stack of wood, perfect for lighting a bonfire by the party's end. The structures had all been surrounded with wreaths made from the meadow's flowers.]

[As soon as he's done with the setup, Lancer will sit down next to the firewood pile, waiting for people to come.]

Unless if you are somehow older than 7,500, then yes, I would be.

...Right. Man, it would be nice to be the older brother for once, though.

Would you like to be one, then? I do not mind being the elder, but if you would like to take on that role, then I would not mind.

Nah, it's fine. You've probably got more advice on matters than I do, since you saw more shit in your lifetime.

Very well, I will happily be the older sibling. Perhaps you can help me be more empathetic because I can be rather brutal when people do not need it.

Really? Haven't noticed it much.

[In fact, it seems the only subject she's brutal about is herself.]

There are times I have been rather brutally honest with people. I suppose it is a good thing, if not stifling.

[ It's a part she's working on, even now. ]

And that's not a problem. I certainly like honesty better than anything else.

Hopefully my honesty is not that brutal, then.

[He pauses.]

How good of a man do you think I am? I want your honesty for this one.

Are you sure?

[ She frowns for a minute before shaking her head. ]

As in a person or overall? It is a vague question and if you want my honesty, then I will need a specific question.

[puppy_lancer]

Let's go with as a person first. Is that specific? I'll narrow it down more if you need it.

[immortalia]

No, that is within sufficient parameters.

[ A hum and she taps her cheek. ]

I do not know you quite well yet, Lancer, but I can tell that while you are a womanizer, you have quite a caring heart and I am pleased to be your friend.

[puppy_lancer]

[He laughs.]

That's a good opinion you have of me! See, even when you're blunt, you're nice.

[ She blinks at his laughter, tilting her head. ]

I... suppose so. Maybe I had the wrong opinion of myself for a while.

[puppy_lancer]

Well, don't worry. Now you have me and Doc to correct your opinion if you do get it wrong.

I would not mind that. There are a few things I have to improve on.

Oh? What else would you like to learn? I'm not that good with women's arts, but I'll certainly try.

Hm...fighting. Making charms. Roasting meat, I guess. Oh, and sports.
