Summary: Aleph is in search of something in particular: a Bible. He has no success and eventually retires to the meadow.

[Floor 3]
[The first place to look would of course be the library.

But, it seems that religion and history are intertwined, and the histories of the worlds aren't covered in this library. No matter how hard he searches, Aleph can't find a single religious tract or book of divine scripture.

He's basically going to check every section of the whole library before he gives up, though. It'll take him awhile and make him obviously noticeable.]

[Floor 13]
[Churches generally have religious books in them, don't they? To read from and all.

This one doesn't seem to. It's not a clearly Mesian or Christian church, and he doesn't know well enough to determine if it's anything else, but he thinks its pastors must be hard on their luck if they have to recite everything from memory.

Aleph will turn this floor inside out trying to search, including looking under pews.]

[Floor 19]
[Now, he's pretty sure that this research library doesn't have anything either, but just in case...

He'll go over this entire library section looking, though with less enthusiasm than the other floor's library.]

[Floor 25: afternoon]
[Well that was a waste. Still, it was something to do. And...

Aleph knew vaguely that other worlds had kinder Gods than his had. Different Gods. But he failed completely to understand why they got so upset about the prospect of a different god than theirs being killed. He only sort of knew why Lucifer got such a bad reputation, in the barest possible sense.

He'd been reading books for a year to improve his ability to read, and to not be bereft of all knowledge but how to fight. It seemed time to get around to some of these, if he could find any of them.

Failing that, picking daisies and making them into a flower chain was never a bad use of time.]

I guess it's cause their Gods are usually these great loving, benevolent deities that the idea of him being s douche is really weird to him. Though I only know the basic basics about Him and Jesus and stuff.

Who's Jesus?

[Judas had mentioned that name...]

Um... [April frowns to herself, wracking her brain for the info.] He's Gods son, and considered a Messiah. A lot of people look up to him, even after his death years later, due to his teachings. I also heard that he could do things like miracles.

For all the talk about Messiahs I haven't heard much about this person's teachings...

[April frowns even more, tilting her head as she keeps making her flower chain.] Umm... Dammit, I don't really know. I think they were things people followed if they wanted to go to Heaven, like 'love thy neighbor', but it's all really foggy...

Your neighbor in particular?

[Aleph shrugs.] It's easier when this is written down.

I think it means 'be nice to people'. I think.

Yeah, and I've only heard this stuff or... Kinda got info fed. [She hrmms to herself as she thinks even more, before she finishes the crown she was making and puts it on Aleph's head.]

It's cuter on you, I think. [He's not taking it off though.]

Nu-uh, I think it looks way better on you. [And she'll adjust it slightly so that it doesn't get caught on his visor.]

You don't have a silly visor that clashes.

But you don't have really bright hair. [She stops playing around with his visor and sits back to give him a smile.]

Anyway, I like your visor, despite how it's silly.

And I like your hair, so we're even.

[Blush, and she tugs at a strand of hair.]

I-I dunno why, it's always messy and weird red-orange color...

- But, um, are you just gonna make chains?

For now. Did you have other plans?

Eh? [She gives him a surprised look.] No, not really... I've already played piano today. Why do you ask?

We could play video games, or watch movies or something.

[technologic]

[Blink, blink.] ... Oh! No, what I had meant was if you would be able make anything else out of the daises besides chains.

Oh, well I'm not sure how...

[technologic]

[More hrm-ing to herself, and cue her trying to use the daises to make some sort of shape.

Iiiiit doesn't go well.] Aha, guess they're kinda too flimsy to be used as anything besides chains and crowns...

They're certainly no good armor. You could put a circle around your sword and hope it stayed on.

Oh, or throw it in the enemies face! They probably wouldn't expect to be distracted by a daisy chain.

That probably wouldn't work.

It miiiight if you throw a lot of them.

... Though they might actually be better as something like good luck charms.

They would... Maybe a daisy and four leaf clover charm would be nice... [She's just gonna go rummaging for clovers now, give her a second.]
