Summary: An unexpected series of explosions has trapped residents in the dorm rooms with no power and no way to get out. Try to communicate with the outside, deal with being stuck in a small room with other people... Deal with the really strange things that seem to be happening, too.
Warnings: typical Animus horror event warnings

[There are several more explosions, and the sound of things falling and crumbling outside. The dorm rooms themselves don't collapse or cave in, but the furniture and trunks and nightstands may be rattled and knocked about. Eventually, the lights flicker and go out entirely, leaving everyone in the dark. There are small red emergency lights lining the floors, but they don't seem to have come on all the way, and flicker on and off eerily.

After maybe twenty minutes everything falls silent. However, if you try the door, you'll find you can't get out...]

[Sticking her tongue out again, playfully.]

What am I, a lapdog? Next.

[puppy_lancer]

If you sit up a little, I'd rock you around.

Lancer I am going to hit you, and not in the fun way.

[She rolls onto her stomach instead, examining her nails boredly in the dim light.]

If you really want to do something, a backrub would be nice.

[puppy_lancer]

A backrub it is then.

[And he really does start to give her one.]

Man, I don't know how long it's been since I've last given somebody one.

[irreverence]

Oh-!

[Well then. She is just going to make herself comfy right where she is, crossing her arms under her head and nuzzling slightly against his thigh.]

Well, no time like the present, right? Oh, mmmm- little lower on the right, would you?

[puppy_lancer]

[He does as she says.]

Nope, nothing like the present at all.

And do I get a reward for this?

Maybe...

[She turns her head to peer up at him from the corner of her eye.]

What's a suitable reward for this in a room full of people?

[puppy_lancer]

A kiss? Maybe a hug? Or maybe you can tell me a funny story.

[irreverence]

A kiss seems good enough.

[She frowns, very very slightly and adds-]

If only because I don't really know much in the way of funny stories.

[puppy_lancer]

[His smile fades just a little.]

...How come?

[irreverence]

[She shrugs, not realizing that what she's about to say is something of a downer.]

Because most of my life before I died back home wasn't too different from here. Just with more lessons and Sisters and a few less life-threatening experiments.

[puppy_lancer]

...Oh.

[He falls silent.]

...Sorry.

[irreverence]

Don't worry about it, fuck all knows I don't.

[It's easier not to think about, and she rubs at his thigh absently.]

Besides, it's not like it was all bad.

[puppy_lancer]

Alright.

...If I can help it, you'll have more good memories than bad from now on.

[irreverence]

[She laughs, hiding her face in her crossed arms for a moment before looking up at him again.]

...you're sweet. But I wouldn't go making statements like that in a place this.

[puppy_lancer]

Hey, I'm a hero. I can get a lot done. And if I can't, I'll at least try.

[irreverence]

My, so much effort for little old me?

[Her shoulders rise a bit beneath his hands, and she chuckles warmly- this kind of fondness of a person's attitude is new for her. She's sort of enjoying it.]

If I were standing, I assure you, I'd be swooning.

[puppy_lancer]

Then, fair maiden, take comfort in the fact that you're lying down.

[He has a mischievous look on his face.]

And on my lap, no less.

[irreverence]

[She turns over partway, pressing the back of a hand dramatically to her forehead.]

Truly, you are a fine gentleman indeed to have anticipated the swooning you would impart upon my poor heart.

[She reaches up and teasingly clips the underside of his chin with a knuckle.]

And so I am in your lap. The ideas people might get...!

[puppy_lancer]

[He takes one hand off her back to hold her outstretched hand and kiss the same knuckle tapping him on the chin.]

If you won't mind them getting ideas, neither will I.

[irreverence]

[She snorts a bit and sits up, throwing her legs over one of his thighs and settling properly into his lap, tipping sideways to lean against his chest. She draws her hand away only so she can tug his down to her lap, and shrugs.]

If I cared about what anyone thought, I'd wear different clothes and do something with my hair.

[She leans up and very, very covertly nips at his neck.]

Let 'em think what they want.

[puppy_lancer]

[He wraps his arms around his waist and then, bending down, pecks her on the forehead.]

I agree with that.

[One hand goes up to tease at one of her dangling bangs.]

And your hair is just fine. It's unique.

[irreverence]

[She scoffs at him for what feels like the hundredth time, tilting her head to replace her forehead with her lips.]

Well, I guess you would be the one person whose opinion I might consider caring about so. Glad you like it.

[She raises a hand to tug on his ponytail.]

Gotta say, yours is pretty nice though. Very... grab-able.

[puppy_lancer]

[He yelps a little when she tugs on it.]

Hey, come on, not fair!

[She tilts her head.]
