Setting: The few days after the event, throughout the Tower as you will.

Summary: Jason's dead. So are a lot of other people. Fallout and picking up the pieces.
Warnings: Discussion of death and cannibalism inevitable.

[Franziska wasn't physically injured, but a visit to the infirmary wouldn't hurt, especially considering everything that had happened over the last few days. There was also the chance her brother would be there, and despite her anger, she still wanted to talk to him about the recent incident.]

[Just ad she expected, here he was.]

Ah.......[He knew that he would run into her and that conversation would happen. An awkward conversation.

Best get it over with though. It was wrong to hide what he did wrong.]

Franziska....

[She's not excited to begin the conversation either, but it would be better to air it out now than to wait until the tower tried to kill them again, regardless of how much they both hated it.]

I trust you're feeling better?

[Yep. Straight to that point of conversation. Edgeworth grabs his left arm tightly, as he always did when he was uneasy or upset.]

I make no excuse for what I did and said then. [Because while yes, he was controlled, how could he be careless to let that happen to him?]

[She crosses her arms, as she does when she is stressed.]

It is fine. Had I listened to your friend Dia earlier, I would have been able to see you were being controlled.

[She practically grits her teeth; she loathed admitting she was wrong, but her brother was important enough to her that she'd do it for the sake of peace. Just this once.]

.....I was controlled. And I shouldn't have let it happen....ugh. How could I have been so careless? [Because he hates feeling weak and powerless and somehow irrationally thinks he could have done something about it.]

It would seem the tower is increasing the severity of it's attacks, at the very least.

[She'd been through and had seen firsthand what had happened with the monsters before, but taking away people's emotions was something she thought even the tower was not capable of.]

.....I would say that Ruana is getting increasingly agitated, given that she wanted another of her lackeys dead and that our time is very short. [Oh, he's seen it, all right - when Ryoji attacked him last April and when others unintentionally disclosed the hiding place of the rebel group.]

She seems like a much stronger foe than Jason, if we were to try to take her down.

[Given how little Franziska knew of Ruana (and how little she wanted to admit that she was intimidated), she could only guess that Ruana's powers vastly outclassed Jason's.]

Naturally as she is the head of the tower. [He just hopes they don't have to kill her too, as awful as she is. Ruana certainly deserved to be punished but whatever that punishment could be besides death, Edgeworth did not know yet.]

Then she should be the last one we need to take down, no?

[Despite how confident she's appearing, she's not sure how much of the situation they're actually in control of. But she's not going to admit defeat, and she's not going to admit this tower (or anyone in charge of it) has bested her.]

Hmmm...seems like it. [As to how, he does not know. However, Aria seems to know things. It probably is not a smart idea to talk about that here, though.]

Than we only need to find a plan for how, correct?

[Although that was probably much easier said than done. Not that anything in the Tower would terrify her, of course.]

[She's about to object, but thankfully catches onto what he's trying to say.]

[Edgeworth beckons, intending to make his long, long way up to the hidden floor, probably the safest place to discuss matters in the tower. It's a long way but he'd argue that it's good exercise - besides, no way in hell he's using the elevator.]
