Oh--right, of course. I'm so used to having magic circuits that limited as they are, I've begun to forget that isn't standard.

[Waver frowned, wondering how he could have overlooked that.]

Now that I think of it...ordinary humans are in rather short supply around here, aren't they? I wonder if there's a reason for that.

Talking of which, those of us with no powers had a considerable advantage in December....[Was it more than just clumsiness on Jason's part?]

I haven't any evidence to assume it anything but coincidence at the moment. Even if it is, it's one worth remarking on even in passing.

Right, that business with the plague doctors. I had assumed them geared more towards eliminating actual threats first...do you think there was something else to it?
