[The thing arrives on the twenty-third floor where no one is around to see it. But even if there was anyone except the retrieval units there, they would hardly have a chance to spot a single shadow, as the Tower pushes around and caresses the thing, hiding it away. The Tower ripples, then, and delivers the thing up and up, skipping floor after floor.

Floor one-hundred and one goes dark, and the glamour fails entirely. There's a thing lurking about in the darkness, approaching the way to the hidden floor. It can't be seen in this gloom, but it can be heard taking heavy, laden footsteps.]

[Zo seems frightened, but he answers over the din.] Um, I can try!

[She attempts to offer the boy a grateful and comforting smile, but there's really no hiding her own distress at the situation.]

Please, anything you can do.

Okay.

[Zo takes a deep breath, and everything around him seems to pulse with his psionic power.

But it's short-lived, and the only warning of distress is a sharp intake of breath before he abruptly falls unconscious by some unknown force.]

... Zo? [Her voice takes on a shriller note as Zo collapses.] Zo! What happened to him? Is he all right?!

[She can't leave her work on the barrier unattended, but Goddesses if the sudden chilly sinking feeling in her stomach doesn't tempt her.]

[Aria hovers worriedly over Zo, though after a moment, it's easy to tell by her body language that he is at least still alive.]

He's just unconscious. It was probably Ruana. [She doesn't know for sure, but she can take a guess.]

[Zelda does relax somewhat (as much as one can relax here) when it's confirmed Zo is merely unconscious, but...]

She has that kind of power?

[It's not that it surprises her, but to use that power now is one thing - what about when they have to face the monstrous little girl herself?]
