Endgame: Eyes I Dare Not Meet in Dreams
Characters: open
Setting: floor 101/hidden floor; June 2
Format: action brackets, please
Summary: Something arrives.
Warnings: psychological horror, physical horror, violence
[The thing arrives on the twenty-third floor where no one is around to see it. But even if there was anyone except the retrieval units there, they would hardly have a chance to spot a single shadow, as the Tower pushes around and caresses the thing, hiding it away. The Tower ripples, then, and delivers the thing up and up, skipping floor after floor.
Floor one-hundred and one goes dark, and the glamour fails entirely. There's a thing lurking about in the darkness, approaching the way to the hidden floor. It can't be seen in this gloom, but it can be heard taking heavy, laden footsteps.]

They better be fully healed to survive what might come next.]

She rights herself, remembering the last time she dropped down the elevator shaft. She tries - as best she can - to lift herself into the air and to slow her rate of falling with Float, which at the rate they're moving ends up pushing her up against the ceiling of the elevator. But hopefully, if powers really do work all the way down, it'll help with the landing. She hopes
She tries to keep an eye on Riki though, in case he tries to attack them on the way down. In closer quarters, her barrier spell will likely do a lot more good.]

Y'know what a pain it is to keep this thing running when you all keep messing with it?
[He reaches his massive arms out--but not towards the others in the elevator. He places his hands on the walls of the car, and his appendages appear to melt into them.
As soon as he does this, there is a scraping sound outside of the elevator, as if it's suddenly been met with friction against the walls.]
no subject
Maybe you should have actually helped us, then!
[Instead of hurting them, torturing them, playing with them, like they were just puppets to be used at leisure. Hearing the scraping sounds, to boot - no, they had to get him down there.
She's still up near the ceiling, and the elevator hasn't slowed down enough yet for her to start properly falling yet (especially with her using Float). She flips herself over, placing her feet on the ceiling. Then she pushes, hard, shoving herself straight at one of Riki's arms, bringing her Keyblade down on it as hard as she can muster, using whatever speed she can from her falling to add weight to the blow.]

The scraping outside the elevator stops, gravity taking back its proper course as Riki is forced to withdraw his limbs and repair them. The discarded control panel on the floor sparks and flies to him, warping and melting at his elbow to reattach his forearm.]
That wouldn't have made you quit breaking things.

The white clad warrior immediately launches at Riki, aiming his spear right at Riki's body.]

*What is he doing, still trying to negotiate? No. Riki is more than capable of multi-tasking. Talking won't distract him, and it certainly won't sway him.
One Tower is very much like the other, really.
Well...he can't well attack from the ground. There are too many people in here and the Arch is too long. He's likely to either smack someone with his arm or worse, hit them with the Arch's blades.
With all he's had to do in his mission, jumping comes naturally to him, before he has the chance to consider he's in a falling elevator. He jumps once, twice--
And he shoots up, past Riki, and smacks into the ceiling - thankfully back-first since he was in a roll instead of head first. Oops.
With a groan, he rights himself with the Arch's gliding ability, the slowed fall maintaining his position against the ceiling for now, at least.
He was going to add that maybe they were both fools, but that...sort of took the wind out of his sails there.*

[The shock and sudden fall are both startling, but nothing she hasn't dealt with before. Her voice is a hiss, but Kyoko waits until Riki's drawn back to make her own move. Her spear is too large and awkward to use in a closed off environment like this, but they don't need to kill him and barriers can be used for more than just acting as a seal.
Her Soul Gem glows brightly as the same red chain links that had covered the elevator's entrance spring up from the wall closest to him, attempting to wrap themselves around him and bind him in place.]

Then maybe Ruana should have left our worlds alone!
[He saw the information they got. He knows that she's the cause of the virus.
Flipping herself upright again, she takes another swing with her Keyblade at the arm that she took down, that's trying to repair itself.]

He's then going to grab Riku and try to hover, doing what a fly does and changing the speed of his flapping to try and stay in a relatively steady position. Riku's still got his Keyblade on hand, but he's not about to throw it with the others in proximity. He'll settle for waiting and watching for now.]

Kyoko's endeavors seem to limit his movement, at least, but the slow shifting of his bones indicates that he is not completely immobilized. His body sparks briefly before he sends an electrical current out--it jumps along the floor to electrify the entire interior of the car.]

Another pull of the trigger, another Persona comes forth. Barong jumps out and, upon a quick idea that flashes through his mind, cast Matarunda on Riki. Hopefully, it'd stick and weaken his attacks. Regardless if it did or not (it would help a lot, though), the four legged beast would leap out afterwards and attack Riki next.]

Letting out a yell of pain she drifts, curling up into a protective ball. After several seconds, she pulls her focus back together, gathering her power in a Curaga spell and releasing it.]
H-here!
[As much as she'd rather use the more powerful Cure or Cura (with it's Regen-like properties), she's part of a team at this point. The others might need it - it won't undo all the damage Riki's attack caused but it should help a little]

Outside, the screech of metal is once again audible, though this time it comes from all sides rather than just those controlled by Riki, apparently indicating that the elevator has reached the emergency safety system in the shaft.]

We have to make him stop!
[The slowing down is going to send them to the floor, and he's still producing electricity, not to mention if he's trying to slow the elevator down again-!
Swinging herself around - and barely dodging another arc of electricity, she aims her Keyblade at any exposed parts of Riki's body she can see - even if it's his head - and aims a Fire spell.]

She jumps forwards, knives in hand and then rolls out the way with a yelp that she can not quite muffle as fire flashes past her. Rolling in tight quarters is never pain free and she gets to her feet glaring around at the girl letting anger take the place of fear.
But she won't let it stop her, despite the fact her heart is in her mouth. Fear might be one of the few things that truly terrifies her but she won't allow herself such weaknesses. She darts forward, trying to avoid the lightning coming out of his hands whilst attacking his arms to try and stop him.]

The resulting shock leave him dazed for a moment, fingers so numb that it's only sheer will power that keeps him from dropping his weapon. He isn't quite so lucky at the second surge.
Riku grits his teeth when forces his fingers into working, summoning way to the dawn back in his hand rather than taking the chance of unnecessary movement – there are no words for how thankful he is for the combined support of Highwind's Healing Waves and Xion's Curaga – and glares at Riki. They need to throw him off balance again, he thinks, mind racing as he shifts into attack stance.
Well. Maybe it's time to put his widened array of spells to good use.
It takes just a mutter of "Gather!" to invoke Magnega.
Highwind meanwhile, has taken to renewing Haste on the team and started to cast Drain as well. They might as well get something out of hitting Riki, regardless of how effective those attacks are.]

Regardless of whether the Magnega works or not, he and his Ryu Dragon proceed to shoot flames at Riki in the vain hope of distracting him and stopping the electric assault.]

He's now in the middle of the cluster, and still bound by Kyoko's chains, but that doesn't stop him from manipulating the elevator. One spike extends from the wall and flies out at the others, but it's clear why he hadn't yet attempted such manipulation beforehand; it's clumsy in the small space and the elevator provides far less material to work with than the rest of the Tower.]
