Every day's great at your... Animus?

Characters: Yosuke Hanamura and YOU! Yes, YOU!
Setting: Room 2-14 and Floor 14
Format: Action is vastly preferred, but I'll prose if you want. Just be warned - prose tags take me a lot longer.
Summary: Yosuke arrives! Derping ensues.
Warnings: Swearing!

Room 2-14

[Yosuke's never been quick to wake up - unless it's someone waking him up in the middle of class. Laying in bed an extra few minutes is normal. What's not normal is the bed, the room, or anything about this place. And then panic ensues! What we end up with is one Yosuke trying his best to keep calm as he takes in these strange surroundings in a slight panic]

What the hell?! Who's idea of a joke is this!

Floor 14

[Yosuke - now dressed in his usual threads, headphones around his neck, has found his way to the entertainment room. He doesn't feel particularly jolly though, and rather than enjoy the entertainment he's sprawled on a couch, looking up and contemplating the last few hours of his life]

[Approach?]

Monsters? Hmm, sounds a little like the game. We all had our own worlds based on our roles...but there wasn't any fog. At least, not on my world. And we had to beat a tough enemy too...not a goddess, though. You must have a lot of levels to do that.

Oh I'm not saying it was for you. It's just that, well, parts of it sound like the game I was playing with my friends. Either way, you must be very good at fighting.

Most of us are self-taught in our main specibus. Though it's been a very long time since I last used mine. I have other powers now...though I can't say I've heard of a Persona before.

[And then, with a playful grin]

Still, I suppose I should be careful not to get on your bad side. I don't think I want to test out this immortality thing just yet.

[She giggles a little at that]

You think I'm cute?

[And then the playful grin returns]

Well, yes. I suppose you could say I'm sort-of a God myself. So if I'm killed, unless it's heroic or just, I just...don't stay dead.

[More giggling as a dark-red blush creeps into her cheeks. She doesn't fully understand human romance but she's still charmed. Or perhaps, so she's still charmed]

Well, I don't know about that. But then, my quadrants are somewhat confused right now anyway.

[And shrug]

Well, me personally I wouldn't think anyone would...at least, I haven't done anything to deserve death. But anyone can become God Tier, provided they meet the conditions, so I suppose it's to stop the wrong people from getting too out of hand.

[She gives a wry smile]

Well, okay. I'll try to be as clear as I can, but there's a lot I still don't understand.

The game is called SGRUB. I found the code for it while exploring a frog temple on my home planet, Alternia, and a friend of mine helped translate it into something playable. Unfortunately, what we didn't know was that playing the game would lead to Alternia being destroyed and that we would have to beat it to make somewhere new to live.

To do that, we had to complete a procedure that would let us enter the game world, where one player would manipulate their client player's world to let them enter before their server player did the same for them and so on. We thought we would be playing as two separate teams of six but in fact we all ended up in the same session.

Once in the game world, we were given our own worlds and our own roles that would determine what abilities we would gain to help us beat the game. For example, I became the Maid of Time so I can manipulate the timestream, at least to a degree. Anyway, long story short we managed to defeat the final boss...just about. I mean, he was prototyped with a lusus that could have wiped all but one of us out if I hadn't been able to create enough clones to subdue that power. And that's where we were supposed to claim our new world.

[And that's before everything that went down after the Rift. But all in good time and she of anyone had plenty of it]

I've never played anything like it before...of course, I was never really one for video games anyway.

[On the one hand, this was going to sound weird. On the other hand, so had everything else and she hadn't broken him yet]

I've been able to hear the voices of the dead since I was very young. They guided me to the temple in the first place and made it clear that the code was important. Though it was Sollux who figured out it was gaming code.

Well, not any more. And it got worse after I died. But they seem to have quietened down now I've reached God Tier.

That doesn't make your struggles or achievements any less important, though. I think crazy's somewhat relative in a place like this.

[identity profile] megid0-maiden.livejournal.com 2011-12-10 11:45 am (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't necessarily think so. For your universe, that's probably true...not that I know much about humans.

[She just grins at that]

It's okay. I'm a troll.
