Summary: Clearly what the tower needs right now is a party, and Willow and Aradia have thrown one.
Warnings: Nada. Good clean fun.

[It's never exactly a clear day around this floor of the tower, but the billowing clouds outside the floor-to-ceiling glass windows are maybe a bit lighter and fluffier. There's a positive atmosphere spread across the whole level, mostly from the colorful lights sprinkled here and there, magical in nature and of all different colors. They glow like small fairies.

But the biggest pieces in the room are the couches and armchairs, strategically laid out in different circles, with tables in the center. Snacks and drinks stolen from the kitchen are on the tables, so nothing too spectacular-- but there are several batches of baked goods that Willow's made, cookies and brownies and so on. There's also some board games and decks of cards placed here and there, the obvious Earth ones included and some not so obvious other ones that she hadn't recognized.

Anyone who wants to is welcome to show up, whether invited or not, whether they know Willow or Aradia or not. Fun is going to be had, darn it. However, everyone on the floor, just for today, is privy to an anti-violence ward that will prevent any motions toward violence from completing. A punch won't land, psychic powers mysteriously won't do anything if they try to cause harm, and so on. As the tower is not fond of being affected in any way, this is an effect the characters have put on them from crossing the threshold from the stairwell, and it will be automatically removed when they leave. It is not noticeable unless they try something or are particularly sensitive to magic.

It also won't last forever, so if you really want to get into a fight, do it while the party's winding down. Willow's wards are good but they aren't up to altering-the-tower-without-major-consequences level, and she's made them mild enough to wear off on their own after several hours.

Yeah. I mean. I'm working on it. [It's embarrassing to admit that he can't do something as basic as say 'no' to anyone with a higher blood than him, which is almost everybody. Hell, he can't even really say 'no' to people with LOWER blood if they're aggressive enough about it.]

[Eridan nods slowly] I knoww. I mean, I get it. [He draws himself up] I get nervvous around powwerful highbloods, too. I mean, not only are they highbloods, but they'vve got psionics, so it's wworse for me. But I wwasn't actually trained as a slavve, or anything, so mostly I can tell them to fuck off.

I think that'th pretty amathing. Your highbloodth are more powerful than mine, but you can thtand up to them. [He sighs and looks wistful.] Whereath I'm the motht powerful mage ever hatched, maybe, but I thtill can't even protect mythelf.

[He's sure she wouldn't mind, though she might get tired of having him underfoot all the time. He's certainly not going to be buddy-buddy with Dualscar or the Condesce, or the Grand Highblood. Sure, though Jades are hardly real highbloods. [He waves a hand dismissively] There's me, maybe. And Sol is a real highblood but he's got the same colour as you.

[He scowls] Yeah, I remember.

[Oops that wasn't quite the reaction Ψ was hoping forw. He cringes back a little] Uh. I jutht meant. That it'th not fair no matter how you look at it, or which way the thpectrum goeth.

So wwhy'd you do it, then? [His tone is faintly accusatory] Because you hated us so much? Then wwhy are you sayin' noww that it's not fair either wway.

[Ψ gives him a rather bewildered look] I didn't do it becauthe I hated anyone. It'th not about hate. I jutht didn't want to be a thlave anymore. I wanted to live in a world where I could be free, where nobody would ever have to be a thlave. I wanted SS'th dream of a world of peathe and equality to be true thomeday.

Equality doethn't mean reverthal. Peathe doethn't mean hate.

[Eridan sniffs derisively. It's hard, because he's held so much resentment towards those who overthrew his caste for so long. But he also knows it's not really Psiioniic's fault. It didn't even happen until sweeps after his death.] Wwell, maybe you should a told your followwers that.

We did. [Ψ's rather puzzled at the reaction. What did the rebels ever do to Eridan? Shouldn't a low blood be CHEERING for rebels who wanted to end the hemospectrum.] That'th what SS'th dream wath all about. Equality and peathe.
