Summary: Clearly what the tower needs right now is a party, and Willow and Aradia have thrown one.
Warnings: Nada. Good clean fun.

[It's never exactly a clear day around this floor of the tower, but the billowing clouds outside the floor-to-ceiling glass windows are maybe a bit lighter and fluffier. There's a positive atmosphere spread across the whole level, mostly from the colorful lights sprinkled here and there, magical in nature and of all different colors. They glow like small fairies.

But the biggest pieces in the room are the couches and armchairs, strategically laid out in different circles, with tables in the center. Snacks and drinks stolen from the kitchen are on the tables, so nothing too spectacular-- but there are several batches of baked goods that Willow's made, cookies and brownies and so on. There's also some board games and decks of cards placed here and there, the obvious Earth ones included and some not so obvious other ones that she hadn't recognized.

Anyone who wants to is welcome to show up, whether invited or not, whether they know Willow or Aradia or not. Fun is going to be had, darn it. However, everyone on the floor, just for today, is privy to an anti-violence ward that will prevent any motions toward violence from completing. A punch won't land, psychic powers mysteriously won't do anything if they try to cause harm, and so on. As the tower is not fond of being affected in any way, this is an effect the characters have put on them from crossing the threshold from the stairwell, and it will be automatically removed when they leave. It is not noticeable unless they try something or are particularly sensitive to magic.

It also won't last forever, so if you really want to get into a fight, do it while the party's winding down. Willow's wards are good but they aren't up to altering-the-tower-without-major-consequences level, and she's made them mild enough to wear off on their own after several hours.

I guess it could have been worse. I mean, there doesn't seem to be any permanent damage and the clones have been taken care of. And the dying's nothing new...but even so, having something positive helps. And if we can help other people too, all the better.

In my experience, when stuff like that fucks up, sooner or later it'll put itself right. But in the heat of the moment, everyone still panics, and unless there's something to help us all cool back down, eventually someone's going to have a heart attack. And I don't trust myself as a medical doctor to fix that sort of thing.

Yes, I suppose you're right...I don't understand the panic myself but a lot of people seem to do it.

Yeah, I study viruses. Not computer viruses, but the ones that make people sick. [He's just. Going to avoid the fact that he technically makes them and his viruses turn people into zombies. Usually not the best way to make a first impression.]

Panic is a very typical initial reaction to a lot of things. I... I panic a lot, honestly. I panic before I do anything else. For example, my, uh... Moyrail - is that the word? - made me panic like none other, though in fairness, he was a very scary bastard.

Nah, he was pretty bad at moirail...-ing. I was the one who was doing most of the... Actual moirail duties.

He's definitely not the easiest man to get along with by any means. Though you never know; he was an Aries, so maybe the two of you would get along simply because you have the same symbol.

[He frowns right back, looking up at the ceiling, obviously thinking.] None of the descriptions of your signs really match all that well to your own personalities so far as I've seen, now that I'm actually thinking about it.

Oh, really? This is the first I've heard that our signs actually mean anything...can you tell me more?

Umm, well I could try? I'm hardly an astrology expert, but... I know Capricorn pretty well considering that's what I am - that's Gamzee's symbol. They're supposedly intelligent and ambitious, though we're also unforgiving and kind of assholes when people can't keep up. Most astrologists leave out the "murdering people while honking bicycle horns" part, unfortunately.

Uh, yeah. Funny story, when he's not high as a kite, Gamzee's a murderous little shit.

Oh. Well...I suppose that makes sense. He is an indigo, and he was pretty terrifying when we were fighting the Black King. Or, you know, he might have been if I'd actually been able to feel fear at the time.

Trust me, it's at least a thousand times more terrifying when his attacks are directed at you.

[Her eyes widen]

He attacked you? I'm not even sure how that works, but...did he hurt you?

Eh, I just got a little roughed up by the ordeal, but I've healed and it's really not that big of a deal, injury-wise.

Oh. Still...Gamzee, murdering people...I suppose he is an indigo but I still never thought he'd snap.

Just when he's sober. Keep him on a steady stream of pie and he's good to go.

I see...I hope that means we can get hold of sopor slime somewhere around here. Otherwise the tower's going to have quite the mess to deal with...then again, they might enjoy that.
