[The Fellowship of Animus] || [Part1] || [Recruitment]

Characters: Fi, Gandalf, Xion, Zelda and everyone in the tower who want things to change
Setting: Any floor, any day from the 18 to the 26 (except the 21)
Format: Prose or action, whichever you prefer

Summary: Recruitment for the Council of the Sages (Fellowship of Animus). The four recruiters will walk throughout the tower in order to find and speak with the people they think could help. Anyone is welcome. There's no real setting, those four are just gonna go and bother people during their daily Animus life. So feel free to pick a day and location of your choice, otherwise it’ll be randomized. OOC Post is here if you want more information. Happens after this reunion.

Warnings: None. The recruiters will do this together, but feel free to put in the subject line if you’d rather want someone in particular to do it. The others recruiters may threadjack at any moment.

If you are a good person, don't reek with evil, and would love to help, odds are that at least one of those four, Gandalf, Zelda, Fi and Xion, is gonna bother you speak with you about changing the fate of the people in the tower. If you're evil... Some derps may approach you anyway.

Gandalf's idea ever since he first set foot in the tower was to see its people work together- About everyone in the tower has something in common: the desire to change life in the tower ultimately to see their homeworld restored. To that purpose Gandalf convinced Zelda to lead a movement. She was perfect for the role: princess, chosen by wisdom, descendant of a goddess.

Now remains to actually get the people into that movement. The network is too dangerous for that, you don't know who else is watching. So here, they're roaming the tower to find those who wish to stand free and fight the evil. Zelda, Gandalf, but also Fi and Xion, the only two other people in the tower who are aware of this plan and its purpose. And here it goes.

Setting his rather dangerous looking pair of shears down, Reno turned around and flipped up his goggles and settled them under his bangs. Yes, he was wearing the goggles today, better his than the ones the workshop offered.

"Yeah? Oh, it's you, Zelda." He knows her from his spying sessions, watching someone tended to get you really familiar with a person. "Gandalf?" Concern tinted his features, wrinkling his nose at them. "What's going on?"

And likewise, she remembers speaking with him in passing, though most notably on the network before her little break in. He seemed to know a thing or two about things she did not, so...

"Nothing that should be a cause for alarm, though we do have something important to discuss with you."

And then she yields to Gandalf, because honestly, he's probably be better that this whole recruitment thing than her right now.

Wincing, this wasn't exactly on Reno's high list of 'want to talk about,' but he knew someone would be around to talk about that with him. Not that it made it any easier.

Glancing around the shop for anyone he had seen before in the meeting, his voice was low.

"It's dangerous to talk about that openly, you know. The 'master' already met my other self and I'm on shaky ground." Reno didn't speak Ganondorf's name just yet, he knew Zelda wouldn't react well to it. Better to clue her in to the spying first. "They could be watching me through magic."

Wait... what? Gandalf and Reno know one another? And... have been talking about her, apparently.

She is confused, to say the least, and obviously out of the loop on one matter or another. Waiting for an explanation, she looks between the two men, questioningly and perhaps with just a hint of impatience.

What has Gandalf been hiding from her? How does he expect her to even have a chance at leading effectively when he withholds valuable information from her?

"Gandalf's right. I wandered into the meeting, and became part of it. It hadn't been my intention, but they were slaughtering others who just barged in. I had to do what I could, and I wound up working for Ganondorf." Reno had set down his tools, wearing a grim expression. "He recruited me to spy on you, Zelda, and your friends.

Apparently he doesn't trust you. I haven't told him anything that could be damaging though, not that any of you were up to much, aside from that elevator fiasco." A slight smile passes his face, remembering his own experiences, then it faded.

"There are people in that alliance that could make me disappear, not just die. You can see why I haven't told you about it. Gandalf approached me, but I don't know how he knew."

And the fact that you have her set in the also delicate position of having to establish some kind of authority and getting such a diverse group of people to work together is not a good reason, Gandalf? Oh, she will need to have a chat with you later.

For now, though, she merely listens stoically, unsurprised that Ganondorf would do such a thing.

"I see," she finally says when Reno finishes his explanation. Her voice is neutral; her words carefully picked as to not betray her true feelings on this whole matter. "No, I would imagine that the King of Evil does not trust us, given our past. You are indeed in a very dangerous position, Reno, but thank you for informing me."

"He already met Ganondorf. I had to tell him what was going on. Let me tell you, Ganondorf wasn't happy after their encounter. I'm at an awkward position." He was leaning against the table, arms folded in a slightly defensive gesture. Reno was no fool, despite others believing so, and trusted his other self to be the same.

"I managed to sooth Ganondorf, but I get the feeling his trust in me is on shaky ground, like if I put a toe out of line he's going to do something. If I were you, I'd keep contact with Rusty at a minimum, too. And try to keep people out of the Cathedral when the reunion does happen, because I will kill to save them from the others." That was less of a threat than it might have seemed due to the Tower's nature, though still a fairly unpleasant one. Death was often painful even if they didn't really 'die' here.

Zelda merely returns Gandalf's look with a rather unimpressed one of her own. She shall be the judge of that, thank you.

"I doubt you would even need to do that much," she says, as if it's the most obvious fact in the world. "Ganondorf is a mad-man who cares for nothing but obtaining power. Trust is not in his nature."

However, she does diplomatically bow her head in acceptance of Reno's advice. "I shall keep that all in mind, thank you, and I will be certain to warn people of the Cathedral. It is morbid, but we can use Legolas' death as an excuse, instead of this conversation."

"Just let me get one thing straight here, though, before we go any further. I'm not doing this for you people, I'm doing it to prevent outright war here."

Waving a hand slightly up, his arms shifted in the way they were folded. "I don't mind working with you, but I won't take orders. Not anymore. Too many people abused us and tried to kill us, even if we were doin' the right thing. It's easier this way."

Taking a long breath in, his shoulders slumped a little with his words, like he had seen too many battles. "I've had plenty of experience dealing with bozos like Ganondorf. I used to work for people like him, where power and money was ultimate. Wars, killing, kidnapping, torture. We - the Turks - used o be protectors, and I want to get back to that, but I may end up having to ditch morals again in order to do this. Trust my judgement when it comes to that."
