PARTY TIME!

Characters: Marty and EVERYONE ELSE. Start your own threads, mingle, make CR!
Setting: Floor 38, the big lounge floor just under the dorms, BEST STORM VIEW
Format: Your choice
Summary: STORM WATCHING PARTY! So the power is out and there's tons of thunderstorms. But don't let that get you down, WATCH THE THUNDERSTORMS! Also pancakes and coffee.
Warnings: STORM WATCHING ! Lots of thunder

Marty had enough of the darkness in the tower and the creeping monsters, so when he looked at the mass of pancakes the automatic pancake maker had made, he loaded them up along with the coffee maker, coffee, the syrup, and toted them all the way up to Floor 38.

There was no way he was going to let those massive stacks of pancakes go to waste, and this was the closest floor to the dorms that actually had some place to hang out, so he set the pancakes up as a sort of continental breakfast, and sat watching the storm.

What he hadn't expected was the people to start trickling in.

Shion had no idea where South America was, since any names that countries had had once had long since been forgotten or erased from the history of number 6. But he did know what a botfly was, though "Like that yes, I assume they inject their larvae into the host in a similar fashion, however before the wasp emerges it sucks all the moisture from it's host killing them."

He paused, "Of course in that way they really aren't true parasites as it is generally accepted that though parasites are harmful they do play a part in balancing ecosystems, traditional parasites do not directly kill their host though some may cause diseases that can kill the host as a result.

Mostly though parasites, at least not when in the singular play an important part in the relationship between species, whereas these wasps... usually by the time you realise you have been infected it is too late, so far there have only been a handful of deaths but we worried... since once Spring came and the wasps became active again, they could theoretically wipe out the entire city"

He shut his mouth, it was probably the most amount of words he had said all month, to a complete stranger, who probably now thought he was crazy...

Shion shrugged, "Neither did we until recently... at least no deaths had been reported but it is likely that they were kept secret, still are being kept secret... or were... before..." He shrugged and stared out of the window again as the sky flashed brightly.

"I'd guess so, it's a big storm I guess it must have messed with their systems." Last time there had been a storm they had had no power as well...

Shion nodded, "Back in winter, end of February I think. There was a huge storm and no power... there were two days where the sun didn't rise at all..." He had mostly tried to not think about that because it hurt his head.
