PARTY TIME!
Characters: Marty and EVERYONE ELSE. Start your own threads, mingle, make CR!
Setting: Floor 38, the big lounge floor just under the dorms, BEST STORM VIEW
Format: Your choice
Summary: STORM WATCHING PARTY! So the power is out and there's tons of thunderstorms. But don't let that get you down, WATCH THE THUNDERSTORMS! Also pancakes and coffee.
Warnings: STORM WATCHING ! Lots of thunder
Marty had enough of the darkness in the tower and the creeping monsters, so when he looked at the mass of pancakes the automatic pancake maker had made, he loaded them up along with the coffee maker, coffee, the syrup, and toted them all the way up to Floor 38.
There was no way he was going to let those massive stacks of pancakes go to waste, and this was the closest floor to the dorms that actually had some place to hang out, so he set the pancakes up as a sort of continental breakfast, and sat watching the storm.
What he hadn't expected was the people to start trickling in.

He was making his way up to the dorms when he got distracted on the lounge, the windows here made it so that you could still see the storm, from inside. He went over to one and pressed his face up against it watching the lightning.
no subject
So what if the televisions down on Floor 14 didn't work? A thunderstorm was just as good, maybe better, because you could get into it because it was real.

Wriggle had been hanging around the lake when the first clap of thunder sounded. Startled and afraid she rushes right back up the stairs, heading towards the dormitories. At least there she wouldn't risk getting struck by lightning. Determined to escape she ran right up the fragmenting staircase, ignoring the sudden darkness that came over her and the things that would spook her even more.
When she finally broke through to the lounge room she had to stop.
What was that smell? Something sweet and sugary... Almost instantly she'd forgotten that she was afraid of being struck and wandered in to find the source of the scent.

The boy who had brought them up was watching the storm, drinking a cup of coffee and had a plate of pancakes nearby that he had been eating.
Just then, a bolt of lightning flashed by very close. "Whoa!"

That's right. The elevators. Also, a great many monsters on the floors below seemed to have taken it into their heads that "no functioning lights" meant "night time". It had been something of a mad flight up this far, and Tara sits down heavily at the top of the lounge floor staircase, breathing heavily.
...in doing so, she smells something. Something oh so familiar that makes her mouth water and her heart hurt with memories of Sunday morning breakfast. Oh good sweet mother goddess, can it be?
"...p-pancakes?"
no subject
Still, has to be better than nutribars, right?
"Yeah, help yourself. I got plenty." Marty was standing by the table he had set pancakes on, drinking a cup of coffee. "Coffee too."

Mug in hand, sheathed sword within easy reach, Sephiroth then wandered over to one of the far walls, gazing out of the glass structure as the storms raged around the Tower itself. Lightning reflected in feline green eyes but Sephiroth simply stood silent and sipped his coffee, thoughts lost in the turmoil outside.

"It's been a while." There was Reno, having coffee of his own in hand, and looking more clear eyed and less Veld-like. This was the other Reno, the one he hadn't met yet; orange collar, his hair in the usual spiky mess but not pulled into his usual tail, nor the goggles or turk suit and no tan. Just a normal looking Reno in casual clothes.
Briefly, he wondered if he should have bothered the General, quiet as he was and at peace, especially with the Masamune at his side. A vivid memory jabbed at him, the blood stains that had been confirmed to be Tseng's blood surrounding what had been the entrance to the Temple of the Ancients.
Follow your own advice. Still, knowing what Sephiroth was capable of given the right circumstances had Reno's hair on end.

Admittedly, the Coffee and Pancakes were very much welcome as well, he'd actually taken a cup of coffee and eat a pancake. certainly better than what they were fed with usual. That and he was enjoying the sight of people having fun and being downright happy for once, even if he wasn't to take part in the party. It might not last, so they better enjoyed those moments.
So here you have Gandalf, watching at the thunderstorm, a cup of coffee next to him and... Smoking weed with his pipe.
That's absolutely not what you are thinking it is. If need is he got some spare weed and a second pipe.no subject
Slowly, Marty walked up to Gandalf, checking him out and bending over to see his face better. This was unreal, this was amazing, this was- kind of proof of the idea some people had of stories just being windows into other worlds.
Wow. Marty was speechless. "Hey... you wouldn't happen to be... Gandalf, right?"

He could have easily stolen some, but what would have been the point of that? Even better than food was company, and if this gathering was what it seemed: regular people having a nice little party and sharing some food, then he was all about joining in.
So he was gonna get himself some pancakes.
"Hi! Nice weather we're having, huh?"

"Zidane, right? It's good to see you again." She seemed much more stable now after a while to adjust to the Tower. Panic wasn't her normal state, after all, but it was a justifiable reaction to waking up in a strange place without her friends.

They'd made it here from far, far too much fighting and are really kind of exhausted, so don't mind if the hero spends some time wiping indescribable monster-y stuff of their sword with a cloth and sitting down, watching the lightning.
They're on guard. They know this is a bad sign.
Moreover, with people here, Link wanted to make sure they were protected if the monsters found their way here, so they've got an eye on the exits... ]

Sadly all the open floors were too dangerous and didn't allow flying besides, but this floor at least gave a good view. Besides, there was actual food with flavor for the first time in weeks, and Kuja wouldn't say no to coffee. With a piled pile and two mugs, Kuja sat down besides Link; not at random, but because he wanted to see what Ganondorf's enemy was life.]
Hello, would you like to share with me?

And was that coffee? With the kitchens only serving those horrible nutrition bars any food and drink was good. Minami immediately made her way to the table where they were set up, put together a plate, and plopped into a beanbag to eat, looking like the happiest girl in the world.

They've never seen pancakes, okay? Link's life has been abysmal indeed, food-wise, compared to the wonders of a more modern world. Then again, Link had never used non-wooden implements before being here, either. Don't mind them if they watch curiously.

So it made the pancakes all the more precious and she sat in one place, eating them slowly, savoring them. She'd been in the Tower less than a month, after all. She had no idea when food--proper food--would come again!

"Ow!"
He burns his tongue and accidentally drops the cup in surprise. He doesn't notice at first because he's too busy nursing his tongue, but while he's looking down cross-eyed at it, he notices the dark liquid all over the floor at his feet. Then, he slowly turns his head, as if he's only now realizing there is a
prettygirl nearby who probably just witnessed the entire thing. His entire face goes bright red.

It's not a crippling fear, but nevertheless, she'd rather not be alone right now. And so, having forgone her royal regalia in hope of going relatively unnoticed, she can be found curled up in one of the oversized chairs, her attention focused moreso on the people gathered than the storm raging outside. Alas, despite the prospect of real food, she... doesn't have much of an appetite.]

Pancakes and thunder storms...

He went and sit in a chair, watching at the storm, eating a pancake, drinking coffee. This was a boring sight, if anything a remainder of very pleasing memories when he took over Hyrule for the first time. ]
Why are you green Ganon
Ignoring the pancakes and coffee and most people who were engaging in them, he stood off to the side, arms folded and watching the storm quietly. It was a subtle change from the normal Reno, usually quite talkative and personable.

Immediately, a lump forms in Riku's throat, as a gruesome image flickers in the back of his mind. He still remembers that twisted nightmare he had when he lost in the labyrinth.
But, no. Now isn't the time to stress over it. She's here, she's alive. She might not be his Kairi, but still...

Guess who hasn't had much exposure to caffeine before?
This kid.
The green-clad boy is positively buzzing around the room, and it's obvious that he can hardly stand still. How old is he, seriously? Nine? Ten, at most? And someone let him have coffee? Greeeaaaat.
That's right, ladies and gentlemen. The ever-so-serious-and-composed Hero of Time...
Is hyper.
Enjoy that.]

But for real, though, this kid looks pretty familiar and it's pretty obvious that he was let near coffee for some inexplicable reason, but Tatsuya's kind of hesitating about reigning him in because...well.
He's not good at handling kids, okay?
