Summary: STORM WATCHING PARTY! So the power is out and there's tons of thunderstorms. But don't let that get you down, WATCH THE THUNDERSTORMS! Also pancakes and coffee.

Marty had enough of the darkness in the tower and the creeping monsters, so when he looked at the mass of pancakes the automatic pancake maker had made, he loaded them up along with the coffee maker, coffee, the syrup, and toted them all the way up to Floor 38.

There was no way he was going to let those massive stacks of pancakes go to waste, and this was the closest floor to the dorms that actually had some place to hang out, so he set the pancakes up as a sort of continental breakfast, and sat watching the storm.

What he hadn't expected was the people to start trickling in.

[Whelp... that solves his dilemma of whether she minds him near or not. He lifts one hand to wave back at her, the other one burrowed into his coat pocket, a small smile of his own flickering over his face.]

Hey. You okay?

Mhm, I'm all right. [Crazy things aside, she was doing better now. She motions for him to come sit down.]

What about you? [Loaded question, but still.]

[He crosses the remaining distance between them, sitting down beside her.]

I'm fine.

[Mostly. Better than he had been at the beginning of the month anyways.]

[She nods at the simple answer, then hold out her mug of coffee.]

Want some?

[He glances at the cup, then and her... considering for a moment, then shaking his head.]

I'll get some later.

[She nods.]

This is quite a storm, huh?

[He hesitates a moment, not entirely how much she knows... and if it's alright for him to go there. It's been so long since they have just sat together and he has made far more effort to avoid her than to avoid Sora... to distance himself. (He shouldn't be near either of them, not really. He might as well test the waters though, to see just where they stand. Right?

When he speaks up again, he's careful... guarded... and only glancing at her from the side.]

No, definitely not. [She considers her mug, thinking she knows what he's referencing but not quite sure how to describe it.]

That night the Islands were... [Attacked? Destroyed by the Heartless? How do you say that so casually. She motioned with her hand, rolling it and hoping he understood.]

That was really bad.

[She doesn't need to finish the sentence; Riku himself wouldn't really use ever more than 'that night'... there is really no good in trying to find words for what had happened.
