[After finding out the tower's been restocked, Genda's well past raided the fridge by now - he's cooked everything he knows how, prepared tons of homestyle meals, and now?
He's got it all spread out on a table and he is stuffing his face.
Genda's also made sure to avoid anything he deems inedible, too. Which means no poisonous foods, and definitely no vegetables, yuck.

You're free to the food too, of course! As it is, he's probably going to offer anyway.
... Not that he wouldn't be able to eat it all himself.]

I've... never had a pet before. It doesn't sound too hard, at least.

[ Going straight to the penguins! ]

[And he's following right along!]

Pets are great, honestly - I've lived with animals all of my life, so it would be nice to have one again!

[ SPARKLY EYES. DOES THIS MEAN THEY'RE GETTING A PET 8D?? ]

Cool! A- ah, I'd feel bad if we just kidnapped one though. Can it have a friend? [ --Yeah he's just seeing how far he can push it. ]

I don't see why not - penguins seem really social, don't they?
It wouldn't be right to own only one of a social animal! In some places, that's even illegal!

[Because no social animal should go it alone. :c]

[ Aphrodi nods. Yes good. ]

Okay! That's logical. [ Which ones look the cutest, then? ]

So two penguins! [ ...He's really excited about this. ]

[whatpenguin]

Yes! But we shouldn't get two that are too young.
They need to be able to grow up with their parents.

[Like cats! ... Sort of??]

If you pick them out, I can catch them!

[errandwings]

[ Aphrodi looks at Genda and shakes his head. ]

No, it's okay! I can catch them. [ He's in better shape to be chasing around animals. But he won't be saying that reason aloud. ] I should like, bond with them or something.

You can help me pick, though! [ He starts scanning the penguins to see if there's any that are conveniently in a pair. ]

[whatpenguin]

You're sure about that? I've caught them before - it isn't hard for me...

[Though he's scanning them, too!]

[errandwings]

[ Aphrodi raises an eyebrow. ]

You can catch one. I want to be able to say that I've caught a penguin before.

[ There's... a pair off on the left, a little isolated from the rest of the group. As soon as Aphrodi spots them, he points at the two and makes a rather high-pitched excited noise. ]

Lookie!

[whatpenguin]

[... Did Aphrodi just say "lookie" --

But he does look, giving a smile! And he starts taking off his jacket and shoes then, to make it easier to swim.]

We'll have to go in together if you want both of them - I'd probably scare the other one off!

[errandwings]

[ Aphrodi eyes the water and pouts. Hell no, he's not swimming. Who knows what's in that water.

So, like the smart kid he is, he takes off on his wings that seemed to have come out of nowhere and hovers above. ]

Okay~! I'll go grab the one you're not. [ Eeeh this is exciting! ]

[whatpenguin]

... ?

[He shouldn't be too surprised, but - these are real wings, aren't they...!? They aren't a hissatsu - but this is the guy who managed to plow through half the pitch, so...]

You know, you're going to have to swim, Aphrodi!

[But eh, if he wants to try it that way - Genda gets a small running start, diving into the water and easily swimming towards the pair, grabbing one of them and, predictably, startling the other one. Get it, Aphrodi --!!]

[ No no look away from the wings they're totally hissatsu. Definitely. ]

I'll swim when I have to! [ He sounds a little petulant.

Luckily, he's busy being distracted by the PENGUIN CHASE!! and proceeds to dive at the other penguin, hitting the water with a splash.

But laskdjal it's like a real thing and the fact that it moves surprises Aphrodi and skdlkja water. Everywhere.

He kicks around a little bit to get used to holding the penguin and gives it a few pats to the head. Yes, good penguin.

Isn't he coming to the surface...? ]

[whatpenguin]

[Genda's already swimming back out the way he came, actually! Landing with a little roll, ending up with the penguin in his lap.

He shakes his head a bit to get the extra water out of his hair, and smiles down at the bird in his lap as it squawks at him.]

[errandwings]

[ Aphrodi quickly follows, swimming carefully with the penguin and his hair. He's reminded why he usually ties his hair up when swimming. Oh well, he has a cute pet now!

When he emerges from the water, he shakes his head a little to get all the water out and spits out the water he accidentally swallowed. Yuck.

The penguin struggles a little, and waddles up to Genda while Aprhodi sorts out his hair. ]

[whatpenguin]

[He welcomes that penguin into his lap too, since they both seem to want to be together anyway! Ah, what cute birds~

They're getting little pats on their heads and stuff, as Genda waits for Aphrodi to come join their family him and the birds.]

[errandwings]

[ Once he's satisfied with his hair up in a rather messy ponytail (but stylish of course), Aphrodi crawls over to pet the penguins too. ]

Aah, lookie they're such cuties!

[whatpenguin]

They are. All animals are cute, but definitely them!

[This just goes to show how good Genda is with animals, surely; they're just content sitting in his lap getting pet, for now!]

[errandwings]

[ Aphrodi laughs a little at the comment. Sounds like someone's biased towards penguins. ]

Yes, yes they are. [ He pets them more. They're so well-behaved. ]

Do you think we should name them?

[whatpenguin]

[Well - he actually loves cats much more, but he hasn't found any here...]

If you'd like to. They'll be staying with you, most likely.

[errandwings]

That's okay! [ He tilts his head to one side. ] You have grumpy room mates?

I don't know what to name them though... [ He coos at the penguins. ] Do you already have names~?

[whatpenguin]

Oh, no - I don't even know my roommates, really. I just thought you'd like to have them with you!

[... Again, he's more partial to cats -
One of the penguins looks to Aprodi and squawks, though.]

... Haha; maybe he thinks he understands you!

[errandwings]

I would! But you can visit anytime, of course. [ Since Genda helped catch them, after all.

Aphrodi laughs and pokes the penguin that squawked playfully on the head. ]

You trying to tell me your name? I can't understand penguin, though!

[Kidou had wandered into the aquarium that evening to look at some penguins and get some thoughts straightened out. They were going to start a resistance, that was something that needed special care and a lot of planning. And was it even going to be successful? Should they really try to make something like that and risk everyone's lives for nothing? It seemed like a great idea at first, but now that he's had some time to think about it, he wasn't so sure.

He was a bit lost in thought, but he heard Aphrodi and Genda's voice up ahead which snapped him out of it. He tilts his head curiously and walks over, hands in pockets.]

Yo Genda, Aphrodi.

[whatpenguin]

-- Ah, hey, Kidou.

[... O-oh no - he got so upset about him keeping penguins last time...

... And one of the penguins squawk, of course.]
