DREAM A LITTLE DREAM WITH ME
Characters: all the characters involved in the Dream Event
Setting: various dreams, various locations
Format: any
Summary: Xehanort draws a large amount of the tower into worlds constructed from their dreams in an attempt to learn about everyone en masse
Warnings: ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING
[Tendrils of magic wound their way around, lines of energy flickered into existence, forming a large shape on the ground around where Xehanort sat with his back straight and legs tucked neatly beneath him. Perfect. It was a bigger scale than the one he'd done but a month before, already he could feel the flickers of connection, the shape getting brighter and more defined.
More participants. More mental drag. There was little to worry about. With Xigbar on guard duty, his sleeping body would be quite safe. No, it was time to dream... and see just who would follow.
Darkness shrouded his hand, keyblade flaring into life, and he gripped the handle in both hands, aiming it at the ground, at the keyhole defined by criss-crossing darkness responding, resonating...
drowsiness laced through him, the blade in his hands sagging downward until the tip touched the ground, his posture slacking, head and shoulders slumping slightly
in slumber, the dreams of others awaited
the Master was asleep.]
OOC NOTE BECAUSE I CAN'T EDIT THE POST IT'S ON ANYMORE AND NOT REDOING ALL OF THAT: Dreamers should post to their REAL WORLD thread explaining where their character is, if they made it to a bed or if they're on the floor somewhere or wherever.
If you have questions for me, put them in your base character thread!
If I missed you somehow, let me know and I'll add you to the appropriate section!

DREAMS
Hylia
[This world is vast and untamed. Forest, deserts, and seas sprawl as far as the eye can see underneath a brilliantly blue sky.
But it is far from peaceful.
On the Surface, two great and equal forces are locked in battle. A being of darkness, amorphous and exuding hatred, lashes out against a blonde woman, who counters with powerful holy magic, creating bright flashes of light that can been seen across the land. Light wars with darkness, divinity with demons, and neither side is capable of overcoming the other.
Where is Zelda, you might ask? Look at the shining goddess and you will find your answer. Zelda's heart and spirit clearly reside within her, though her own mind may not.
Perhaps that's why everything here seems just a bit unfocused, as though this is a hazy memory - one half forgotten and long dormant.]

Darting back out of range, she summons a blade made of the same golden magic to her hand. And then she dives back into the fray, weapon first.]

[At first, Ven's just. Shocked. He's heard stories of great clashes of Light and Darkness, but sans his own battle with Vanitas and Master Xehanort, he'd never born witness to one, and especially not one like this.
He took a cursory account of his surroundings and his new outfit-- He had more simpler armor than normal, across his chest, on his shoulders, over his feet and boots (which were now up to his knees), and over his hands. He had a simple tunic, pants and chainmail everywhere else, along with the helmet of an old knight-- though that was quickly removed for the sake of clarity and mobility, it was already hard to see. He had a shield that bore some sort of archaic crest he couldn't make out, and instead of his Keyblade, some sort of long polearm.
He had to snap out of it though-- there was clearly an all out war going on, but he had to find Zelda. He identified...her Heart. Represented by a blonde woman fighting the Darkness, but where was her own actual Soul?
Answers later-- he had to resolve the conflict as quickly as possible before things got sour, or something else important was shown. Zelda was a Princess with a Kingdom at conflict, so this scene shouldn't be so bad, right?
That was what he told himself for now, and he ditched the shield alongside the helmet and ran forward, sticking the non-blade end of the polearm into the ground to fling himself up for a boost, taking the polearm with him until he was right in the middle of the conflict, closer to what he was sure was Zelda's Heart. He swung the polearm around to attack-- this fighting style was gonna take some getting used to, but he wasn't doing too badly at least. ]

The Darkness reaches out to strike again, and the goddess dodges, flying back and out of range to deliver another blast of light to its 'core'. The amorphous being reels, but not quite in the direction she would expect from such an attack. Frowning, she scans the surrounding area in search of what - or who - is making it react that way.
What she sees shocks her.]
A human...?!
[The Darkness readies another attack, but this time she pays it no mind, racing down to Ven's side instead. A golden barrier made of that same light magic shines into being around them, and though their opponent smashes against it, it does not break. Safe for the time being, she turns to Ven, an almost scolding tone to her voice.]
What are you doing here?
[Zelda's Soul may not be there, but there's definitely something familiar in this holy woman's eyes.]

When she approached, he lowered the polerarm, half of it held behind his back like he was typically used to, and the head resting just above the ground.]
I'm here to help you, Your Majesty. [He... was half sure it was Zelda, but something about her still seemed more regal...
Plus he, kind of felt bad with her scolding him, and all.]

Ocarina of Time Ending
[Once again, Zelda dreams of a battle, though she does not take part this time. No, this time she is suspended high in the air above a dark man playing a pipe organ, encased in a small crystal prison of that man's design. A young man some might recognize as Link enters the room, and as he does, golden triangles appear on his and Zelda's hands, starting to glow.
The man at the organ ceases his playing, "The Triforce parts are resonating... They are combining into one again... The two Triforce parts that I could not capture on that day seven years ago... I didn't expect they would be hidden within you two! And now, finally, all the Triforce parts have gathered here!"
He turns, sweeping his cape aside as he reveals a third glowing and golden triangle upon his hand.
"These toys are too much for you! I command you to return them to me!"
The man some might recognize as a younger Ganondorf rises into the air, and the battle begins.]
Ganondorf... pitiful man. Without a strong, righteous mind, he could not control the power of the gods, and...
[The battle has been won, and Zelda has been released from her crystal prison. She speaks solemnly, looking down at the Evil King's body...
... when the tower they are standing on begins to rumble and shake. She gasps, urgency in her eyes and voice.]
Listen to me! This tower will collapse soon! With his last breath, Ganondorf is trying to crush us in the ruins of the tower! We need to hurry and escape! Please, follow me!
[Probably would be best to do as she says - this tower is growing more unstable by the minute.]
[It's finally over. The King of Evil has been sealed away, and peace will reign in Hyrule... for a time.
High above the ruins of Ganon's tower, the Hero of Time and the Princess of Hyrule stand before one another, surrounded only by clouds and the blue sky.
The battle has been won... so why does this scene seem so sad?]
((ooc; Offering three "jump in" points for this one because it's LONG AS HELL geeze OoT. First is the first fight with Ganondorf, second is the escape from the tower and fight with GANON, third is the end where Zelda sends Link back in time.))
figure I may as well hop into this now (prepare tissues)
And... fighting as the warrior in Zelda's mind is no chore whatsoever.
But it does come as a shock to learn a piece of the Triforce is actually within you. Is this real? Is this... her world? She had been from after his defeat, then--
But there's really no time for that and thus Link takes on the role of the hero as best she can. And succeeds, thankfully. But just as she is about to ask Zelda what this all means, there is no time left and they must escape. ]
Zelda--
[ Is all she has time to say as they begin running together. ... This... she has to stay focused... ]
ohgod this is gonna hurt
Zelda doesn't make much effort to communicate beyond short gasps whenever a boulder strikes just a little to close, or waiting for Link before she magically opens barred doors in their path. She is focused only ongetting them both out of here safely, falling back on the memories of escaping the Evil King's minions she's gathered from those seven years.
Upon reaching the interior of a battlement in their path, Zelda is forced to stop dead in her tracks by a wall of flame springing to life around her. Turning, she cries out--]
Link!
[And then there were two Stalfos coming out of the woodwork. Since, you know, things just aren't hectic enough.]
YYYYEEEP
[ Link's mind shuts down despite the racing questions once the wall of fire surrounds Zelda. Dream or not, whatever is going on here is a very real threat. Zelda obviously has lived this in some form. This is more than a dream. It... must be a memory of how that final battle went.
... They'd never get much chances to speak, would they? They never did, after their initial meeting, which felt like centuries ago by now. Though it was seven years from one's perspective.
Link draws not the Master Sword, but her bow and Light Arrows, because surely since this is Zelda's dream, it will involve her WINNING and fighting like she usually does. Link is an expert marksman. If she is meant to win, there is no way she will miss their weak points. They don't have TIME for this, but Link is never one to panic in a battle situation. One can only hope their usual means of fighting works here... if so, then the two should be rid of quickly with her best aim at the creature's weak points. If not, then they're losing precious seconds they just don't have. ]
precious babies ;^;
this will get hectic and sad. :c

The climax is late to the party like a boss
However, before the monster swarm can converge on their target, a train swoops in from the sky, and drops off three more Imagin - one of which is Momotaros. "Hold on a second!" The young man, as well as a fourth Imagin that had been with him since this started. "Urataros, Kintaros...why-why are you all here?!" "Miss Naomi came to pick us up~," is the answer he gets from Urataros. Ryotaro turns to the train, and a woman standing in the doorway. "Well... Owner wasn't around! So best of luck!" The biggest of the group reaches over to slap Ryotaro on the shoulder a couple of times. "Naomi's a woman who pulls through when it's needed!"
Near Zelda, the scarfed man scowls in disgust, stepping closer to the group, but not by much. "You guys...you're okay with disappearing?" With that, the army of Imagin converge on Ryotaro and his group, though they're swiftly met by Momo, Kin, and Ura. "SHUT UP! I'm sick of hearin' that crap outta you!" Momo kicks a mole-themed Imagin to the ground, while punching another, pushing his way into the throng. "Come at me from any angle!" Kintaros aids him, pushing into the swarm of enemies like a tank, while Urataros covers a third side without comment.
Things get shaken up a bit, however - quite literally, as the ground begins to quake, and the Demon King rises once more...
[OOC: Super-late here, and hopefully this works for you as a good merge-together. And hopefully it makes sense. If not, lemme know on Plurk. And have a handy link to the scene on YouTube to help with things. o/]
The big bad is even later, so.
... So who are all these people? Two of them seem... oddly familiar somehow, but that only serves to deepen the confusion. Zelda, and by extension, Link watch the conflict unfold with nothing short of bewilderment, the Hero instinctively positioning himself in front of the Princess as the scarfed man proves himself to be the more antagonistic one of the group.
Of course, that all is for naught when the ground quakes threateningly in a way that sends a cold chill down Zelda's spine. No, no, it's over, he can't possibly still be--
Link ignores the fray between the Imagin, stepping forward to check the rubble... and suddenly a man darkened entirely by shadows bursts forth, hovering in the air. Near death, the Evil King breathes loudly, heavily, raising a fist of Power in one last ditch effort to take down the heroes of Hyrule with him. The Triforce on his hand glows, and so does he as he grows into what can only be described as a demonic behemoth, dual wielding golden swords the size of a grown man. Lightning strikes around the ruins, and the beast roars in rage, swinging those swords wildly. In attempt to block the blows, the Master Sword is knocked out of Link's hands, towards to group of Imagin. A great wall of flame separates them from the Hero of Time.
"Watch out!" is all Zelda can cry, so shocked by the turn of events and also barred from helping Link directly. She can only hope, whoever these people are, that they will not worsen the Hero's chances against the beast the King of Evil has become.

The newcomer, Yuuto, puts on a belt and holds up a card, right as Ryuutaros nudges Ryotaro to move along. "Let's go, Ryotaro!" Ryotaro dons his belt as well, and transforms into a purple-themed, armored warrior armed with a pistol - Yuuto does the same, though his armor is green, and he's armed with a large sword.
Ryuutaros now speaks from the body that was once Ryotaro - "Mind if I defeat you guys?" He then spins and takes a shot at the nearest Imagin. "CAN'T HEAR YOU!"
Yuuto is joined by the Imagin that showed up with him, Deneb, and they both strike a pose as they spout off their own taunt together - "Let me say this to start! We are fa-ir-ly~ strong!"
Momotaros, in the meantime, has fought his way over towards the Master Sword. It looks...kinda familiar to him. He sparred with Link before in the tower, though he can't quite remember that right now. He hauls it out of the ground, taking a moment to get a feel for its heft, then looks over at Zelda. "Hey, lady - yer buddy needs this, right?"

Sleeping Heroes
[Ask Zelda about her country, and she will regale you with stories describing it's beauty and diversity. But in actuality, that idealistic vision of Hyrule has not been the truth for quite some time.
This is the Hyrule of Zelda's adolescence. Of Ganondorf's seven year rule. The sky is dull and grey, as if storm clouds are threatening to roll in at any moment, and the shadows of the world seem darker than they should be. Everything else looks desaturated, like the life and color of the land is slowly being sucked out of it, leaving everything else to wither and die. Inexplicably, a distinct undercurrent of anixety and loneliness runs throughout the world.
Being on the run in your own kingdom tends to foster those feelings, after all.
Should one come across the Temple of Time, however, those foreboding feelings of unease will begin to ebb away into a solemn sort of peace. This place is clearly a sanctuary - somewhere evil cannot touch.
In the back-most room of the temple, a young man (?) sits in the shadows near an empty pedestal.
Waiting.]

There were creatures here, as well. The Servant couldn't see them, but she could hear them, their inhuman, ghastly moaning drifting towards her from what she assumed was the town's central marketplace.
It's... depressing. The sense of hopelessness was near overwhelming.
But those feelings faded, though, when she turned and took note of the building behind her. It was... a Cathedral? The grand building didn't seem touched by the rest of the darkness that swallowed the town, and so Jeanne decided to investigate, making her way inside and taking in the sight of the vast, empty chamber.]
This is... a place of sanctuary? [Her voice is soft, low, even though there is nobody else around (or so she thinks).] And yet there are no townspeople here. Nobody seeking shelter from the horrors outside.
[The lack of refugees. The monsters outside. The worst couldn't have happened... could it...?]
no subject
How strange.]
A sanctuary to those who dare to brave the redeads, a prison to anyone else.
[He remains impassive as he speaks, as though what he says is a simple fact of life. And for years, it has been.]
Castle Town has been abandoned for years. If it is true shelter you seek, Kakariko would serve you far better than here.

GAH! I forgot about this!
As he entered, ease kicked in somehow. More and more, he felt cautious, yet weight was lifted from his shoulders. Never had been so torn between the two emotions.]
What is this place?
Laaaate, I'm so sorry!
The only reason why he is sure that he isn't in some wrapped part of the Realm of Darkness, is that despite the overall feel of it, there still seems quite some light left in this world. Too much for the darkest place he's ever been to.
It's strange how that foreign weight of despair slowly starts clearing away when he enters a certain part of the town, head tilting up as he frowns at the large building before him. Curious.
Well, if there is anything or anyone for him to find in this dream... he supposes he might as well truly start his search here.]
It's cool, I'm even later /o/
But he is not alone.
Riku might sense something odd as he approaches the back room - a familiar Heart. But it's not shining brightly like it normally does; no, this Heart is shrouded in Darkness... but not unwillingly. The shadows are being used as a shield, one to protect and hide the Light underneath from prying eyes.
The owner of that odd Heart merely watches the strange boy explore, silent.]
\o\
/o/! Also I feel I should apologize for cryptic nonsense but. Well. It's Riku, so. |Da
IT'S OKAY Riku can more than deal with cryptic. |D;
CRYPTIC OFF COMMENCE
Oh god, all this cryptic, also, if this isn't alright, just say a word?
Fine with me! Zelda is not so cool with it, however.

Powerlessness
[Compared to her other dreams, with fairly defined settings, this dream of Zelda's is rather vague. The surroundings are vast and featureless, with nothing in the way of visible boundaries. That said, you can run all you would like, but you aren't going anywhere. Anyone who enters this dream is seemingly bound to the same area Zelda is, unable to move no matter how strong or magical they are.
As for Zelda herself, once again she's trapped in a crystal prison, hovering slightly in the air. Which means when all her failures, all the times she has been able to do nothing as others suffered start playing out in front of her like a gruesome stage play, she is helpless to stop it.
A man from the desert kills a king. A country drowns. Friends are forced to fight to the death. A father figure dies to the screams and cries of children. A competition is lost.
And should anyone intrude on this dream? They'll find it catering to their feelings of powerlessness as well.]

[Link shakes his head. These were things that happened, and this Zelda was standing there, encased in a crystal. Girls named Zelda seemed fond of getting trapped in crystals, apparently. Upon closer inspection, it was the same princess as he had helped in the waking world as well.]
... Hey there.
[He tries smiling, touching the crystal wall gingerly with his fingertips, as if attempting to hold hands, in an awkward way.]

Link...?
[Not one she knows, but Link all the same. She finds herself returning the gesture... but then she's shaking her head, looking at him pleadingly.]
Please, however you came to this place, leave! There are nothing but bad memories here...

Celebration
[At last, there's a party at Lon Lon Ranch and just about everyone in Hyrule is there. Hylians, Kokiri, Gorons, Zoras, even Gerudo - everyone has come together to celebrate. Music and cheerful conversation ring out over the field, and it's impossible not to feel the aura of utter happiness and joy that fills the dream.
But that's not all; take a closer look and one will notice that there are some party goers that are definitely not from Hyrule in attendance. In particular, a stoic blonde woman stands off to the side, drink in hand; a friendly red-headed witch toys with magic lights around the bonfire; and a cheerful teenage girl dances and sings to a band no one in Hyrule has heard of, eventually dragging Zelda herself in to dance as well.
Around the edges, shades of others that Zelda has met in the Tower can be found, though they lack the same kind of clear definition the three women have, and will be replaced by their true counterpart should they come into this dream.]
