[Open] What a lovely day for a picnic~

Characters: Disciple, Dolorosa, and open to anybody!
Setting: Floor Twenty-Five
Format: We're comfortable with any format you decide to put up.
Summary: Dolorosa & Disciple decide they would like a nice time away from it all, so why not have a nice picnic? If you would like something cooked over an open fire, Di will happily cook it for you!
Warnings: Fire and smoke, but only if you are really careless when playing out in the open.

After running to get to this peaceful floor, Disciple happily runs out in the open to floor 25. She falls instantly on the grass and rolls in it as Dolorosa quietly sets up the big blanket and the food. Embarrassed that she wasn't helping out, Disciple gets up and does her fair share by setting up a small fire to cook on.

When done, they both smile at their accomplishment and relax.

Xue had just finished fishing up a few things before heading out. On her way to cook up her catch of the day, she managed to barely notice something familiar in the distance. Always being one to allow her curiosity to take the lead, she managed to make her way closer to have a better look.

Once she noticed what was it that seemed familiar, she smiled faintly and got close enough to wave with her free hand while the other held a branch that had her half a dozen fish dangling from the end over her shoulder.

"Oy' Dizzy, nice seein' ya gurl, How it be goin'?" She didn't recognize the other, but gave a friendly nod in her direction.

Dolorosa gave her a friendly bow, recognizing the other woman's apparent previous association with the Disciple. So, she motioned to the blanket. She hadn't met this individual, either, but aside from her lack of horns and the heavy shade in her skin, she might have almost mistaken her for a compatriot!

"We were moments from taken our meals. We would be delighted if you might deign to accompany us!"

"Eh, ain't like I be havin' anyting ta do. Jus' got done fishin' so if it be alright wit both 'a joo, I wouldn't be mindin' a bit o rest wit good company mon." she replied with a smile.

Disciple looked on to see a familiar friend of her's. She waved excitedly once she made sure the fire was ok.

"Hello Xue!" Di then spots her fresh catch and claps her hands in joy. "What a great catch you have on you! Did you also decide to go hunting today?"

Xue grinned just as excitedly and nodded, "Joo know it gurl, gotta make it be happenin' erry once in a while if joo wana get tings done 'round here."

She gave her a playful wink and looked around. "Nice spot joo gurls got goin' here."

Suzaku was passing through the meadow when he saw Dolorosa and Disciple, he stepped a few paces towards them before stopping. He hadn't seen them in so long, not really since the labyrinth, when he had travelled with them both, died with Disciple.

A lot of things had changed since then, Suzaku paused wondering if he should leave, they seemed okay and happy for the moment and he was glad.

The option wasn't on the table long, as Dolorosa spotted him and waved him near. She still had some lingering guilt from how withdrawn she had become following the labyrinth, too caught up in her nightmares to follow up with anyone afterwards. She'd seen the effects that had on Gamzee, and could only fear it was occurring with a heavier frequency and had to be put to an end.

"Suzaku! Come, share in our meal."

Suzaku hadn't planned to be spotted but once he was he moved closer, not wanting to appear rude. "Hello Dolorosa, Disciple..." He paused, "I don't wish to intrude on your meal."

Disciple then spots him and gives off a sad smile. The last time she talked to him was within that horrible labyrinth event. Since this was a happy occasion, she wanted to make sure that he would enjoy this time with them as well.

"Suzaku? Is that you?"

Suzaku gave a small nod, "It is, I hope I am not disturbing you."

Rose didn't really come to the meadow floor very often - it wasn't dangerous and it didn't have anything to keep her mind occupied. But sometimes she needed to be reminded that there were still pockets of reality where everything wasn't falling to shit, and the meadow seemed to be one of the few places in the tower offering that affirmation.

After the past few days she really needed a simple walk through an area that wasn't going to try and kill her. Rose's expression is almost peaceful as she meanders through; that is, until she comes in sight of the Dolorosa with her roommate and a giant blanket of food. Her lips twitch into a faint frown and she turns on her heel to beat a retreat back the other way, hopefully before either of them notices her.

She's fairly sure if they did there's no way she's escaping without having a foot of salami shoved on her or something.

The thing about wearing so much red is that it tends to stand out among a lot of green. So, when Dolorosa saw a all this red out of the corner of her eye, it didn't take her long to recognize it.

But why the girl should be walking in the opposite direction was beyond her. Such a pity how antisocial she seemed, but Dolorosa decided that it might be worth risking it to call after her. "Rose, dear, wherever are you going?"

Mental note: wear the black suit next time she decides to take a pensive walk. Rose curses lightly under her breath, stopping in her tracks. Looks like she didn't quite move fast enough to save herself.

"Wherever I feel like. It's a big meadow and all I've got is shitloads of time."

Disciple spots a very curious site and looks on as the red-clad girl runs away from them. She then giggles and starts chasing after her! Why run on this floor if not for a fun game? At least Di thinks so anyway!

There are many reasons why Rose isn't particularly fond of her roommates, but this sort of shit is one of them. She sighs and flashsteps to the side, hoping that the act will be enough to throw Di off and break up this reluctant game of tag.

Now that he was in good health, Enoch wasn't one to take lunch - he was used to two larger meals a day instead, when he was living a settled life (as much as one could call this tower 'settled', but it certainly wasn't nomadic). So rather than being with the majority of people off having lunch while they could, Enoch was instead wandering the meadow floor. He'd taken to doing it lately for the sense of freedom it provided, however false he knew it to be. Until he could think of a way to make a difference...

The smell of something cooking caught his attention, and, curious, he headed towards it. The menu this month seemed tame, if a bit unusual here and there. He wondered what they had in favor of it.

Unfortunately, they had nothing to prepare beyond what was available in the cafeteria, save for Xue's fish. But those they had sliced into fillets and roasted, then sandwiches were made out of those. Nothing terribly revolutionary, but tasty enough.

Seeing Enoch's approach, Dolorosa greeted him with a nod. "You've come to join us, then?"

They could potentially prepare better quality food from the ingredients there, so there was that much, at least.

"I smelled the fire," Enoch said with a bit of a nervous smile. "I'm not intruding, am I?"

Did that count as an offer? Enoch didn't want to be rude...

Disciple hears a man coming towards them and looks on. But not for too long as she is currently cooking a slab of meat over an open flame.

"Oh hello! Are you also a weary traveler finding his way through the floors?"

He'd met one troll before...and thanks to Gandalf's information was beginning to realize that perhaps, the troll girl that was present in Meridian may have been responsible for the link to her own...no, he shouldn't be thinking of these things in the face of hospitality.

"I wouldn't call myself 'weary', but I do tend to wander the levels here."

A peaceful floor is just what he was looking for. Given the drama that had recently surrounded him, not that he minded it, he was always willing to help. However sometimes a calm open field was a nice place to relax and takes one mind off of the dangers of this city. It didn't take him long before his ears perked a bit at the sound of other. Slowly he turns to look back at the other and smiles when he sees just who it is. Signless moves to head towards he dear lusus and his mate.

"Try to have to much fun without me." He teased.

She poured a cup of tea, then handed it to him, patting a space on the blanket between both women. "Oh, I'm sure we could make the attempt. Our chances of success may not even be so dubious, in fact, but the point is moot now that you have arrived."

He grinned at her hospitality and graciously took the tea. Slowly he took a small sip at it and he let out a content hum as the warm liquid went down his throat. "Well please don't let me spoil your fun, I am only here to enjoy the company of the two of you lovely ladies." Again he took a sip of the tea and he beamed at the taste.

Hearing a familiar voice, she quickly turns her heard to see her loving mate.

"My darling~!"

She then glomps him, almost knocking over some of the meat directly into the fire!

He embraces her as her glomp succeeds and he brings her closer. Gently he runs a hand across her head, "Shoosh now calm yourself, there is no need to be so excited." He glances towards the fire, "Such an action nearly caused an early dinner, such a horror." he teased and delicately dropped a kiss on her cheek. "It is a blessing to see you darling."
