Format: Action, but I'll match you.
Summary: Eleanor doesn't really know how to handle this flu thing, it's been a long time since she's been sick! Well, conventionally sick that is.
Warnings: Cranky, cranky teenagers who can set things on fire with their minds. Also random teleporting and potential telekinetic shenanigans.

[Eleanor woke up this morning with her head feeling like it was stuffed with wool. That was a novelty of a sort, and not a very pleasant one. She shrugged it off though, not entirely familiar with the whole flu process, though somewhere in the back of her head, several dozen voices whined in unison about how awful it was.

Eleanor got dressed in her suit and as usual set out to wander around the Tower, steps slow and gaunt looming.

Except, even if you're used to seeing her go around by now, you might be surprised to see her stumbling a little, leaning heavily sideways and nearly falling off the stairs more than once. For all intents and purposes, it seems like nearly seven feet worth of drunken diving suit, though of course that's not the case.

Hell, her portholes are glowing blue. Blue. She didn't even know that was a thing that could happen.]

Outside Floor Two.

[This morning, Tohko had woken up with a slight fever. However, she wasn't going to let a fever beat her, even if her senses were slowly starting to dull. She hoped that it was just an effect of the cold and that it would go away soon. So, she had just left the clinic, having taken some pills, and was about to head up the stairs to go to the library when she spotted a girl wearing a weird diving suit.

Even though her eyesight was bad, she managed to see that the girl looked like she was drunk. Wanting to help, Tohko carefully walked down the stairs, being careful not to fall down. She hadn't noticed the blue glow at first, but as she got closer, she did, and that just made her worry more.]

Pardon me..but are you alright? Want me to take you to the clinic or your dorm room? You look terrible.

[thebigsister]

I do?

[Eleanor turns to face Tohko, sounding genuinely surprised - if slightly constipated. The light fever wasn't the biggest problem, for her, but rather the slight pulsing inside her ear, somewhere behind her eardrum, a tell tale sign that there was a further congestion inside. It wasn't even all that painful, for now, it was just that her balance had certainly seen better days. And turning as she did, it only made it worse. She felt herself losing her balance. She made a small strangled sound and vanished in a puff of purple mist, before she could actually fall. In the distance, there was a loud clang, as something heavy fell bonelessly on the floor. Then, a few moments later, she was back in another puff of purple.]

...I'm sorry. I'm not used to being this clumsy. What were you saying?

[Tohko's hearing was getting worse..but thankfully, she could make out what the woman said, even if it sounded like she was whispering. She wasn't sure what was up with the purple puffs..but it had to be part of the way the woman could teleport.]

You do. You keep moving like you're drunk..and if you're that clumsy, you should probably get some rest and some medicine. If you need help getting to your dorm room, I'll be happy to take you.

It's alright.

[Eleanor shrugs.]

I feel like I have to keep moving, otherwise my body won't recover quickly enough. I appreciate the offer, though.

[Tohko shook her head.]

No..if you keep moving, you'll only hurt yourself later on..you really do need to get in bed and rest.

[After all, if this girl ran into some monsters or went into a dangerous room, she would die. Tohko wasn't going to let that happen!]

But that's boring.

[She will ignore the fact that that's probably what one should do in the case of being sick. She's just expecting her ADAM enhanced metabolism to take care of this cold already.]

Well..I could grab a couple of books for you. You could read while you rest.

[thebigsister]

Urgh. If I don't have to read another book in my life it will be too soon.

[Guess who spent most of her time reading up until coming to this tower?]

[tohko_amano]

[Guess who spent most of her life reading and loved it?]

Eh?! You're sick of books? Well..I could bring you a board game or something..

[But life! Adventure! Gross acts of wanton violence! Eleanor sways a little, in direct contradiction to her words.]

It's okay, honest, I don't want to inconvenience you.

[Even though her eyesight is bad, Tohko notices the swaying.]

You're not going to be an inconvenience! I like helping people. Besides..if you pass out or collapse somewhere, a random monster might be able to pick you off while you're sick.

[...well, thank you for putting that horrible idea in her head.]

Maybe if I die I'll come back not-sick?

I doubt it..after all, there are quite a few sick people wandering around the Tower, so you'd probably just catch another illness. It'd be better if you just rested in bed.

[Boo.]

...huh, you're probably right about that.

[LOUD SIGH.]

Maybe if I make myself tire enough I won't have that hard of a time staying in bed.

[Tohko gives the girl a small smile.]

Well, I could grab a couple of puzzle books for you or something. When you're mentally tired, you want to rest too.

[Suddenly quiet.]

That is not possible, I'm afraid.

Why not?

[thebigsister]

[Eleanor taps the helmet with a finger.]

Because I'm not alone in here. So it never really quiets down.

[tohko_amano]

Ah..so you have schizophrenia too?

[Tohko sighed. At least this person was a lot nicer than Edward..]

I'm sorry to hear that..

[thebigsister]

No, it's a bit different from that.

[She shrugs, not really sure how to explain it without going into unfortunate details about ADAM and genetic experiments.]

I mean, they all used to be real people, with lives of their own and all. And then they died and ended up in me.

[Tohko nodded, trying to understand.]

So..their consciousnesses were put into you. How? And why? That seems like a terrible thing to do..

[thebigsister]

...it seemed like a good idea at the time?

[To her mother, maybe. Eleanor had known it was a Bad Idea from the start but of course no one listens to the kid about to become someone's science fair pet project. She tilts her head to the side, shrugging in an exaggerated fashion to try and make a joke out of a very unfunny situation.]

[Sadly, the attempt to make a joke out of the situation didn't work. Tohko sighed.]

Who could have thought that was a good idea? The people in charge of that experiment? I don't think you thought it was a good idea, as you were the one who was going to have to live with all those consciousnesses.

[thebigsister]

Eh, you get used to it.

[Eleanor shrugs.]

I mean, what's done is done, right?

[How do I handle questions. How do I handle sympathy. Halp!]

Not all the time. What can be done can sometimes be undone..and even if it can't be, that doesn't mean that you have to like it.
