[OPEN] MAGICAL MIDGET ADVENTURES... STARTO!
Characters: [AU7] Waver Velvet, OPEN
Setting: Dormitory floors, fourth floor, random floors.
Format: Action
Summary: Waver searches for her family, sulks around as Wavers do, and then explores a little.
Warnings: May include monsters etc. I'll update accordingly.
Dormitories
[Waver doesn't want to believe what she's been told. It would be so much easier to tell herself this is a prank, or she's being held for ransom, or... something. And that's why, as soon as she's able, the magus wanders the dormitory floors with only one goal on her mind...]
Brother! Brother? Derry! Where have you gone? Derry...!
[The girl's search for her sibling is more than a little frantic, and she'll stop to ask anyone if they've seen him, whether she recognises them or not.]
Floor 4
[After giving up her search, Waver can be found sulking in an out-of-the-way chair with her bowl of oatmeal and a small pile of books pilfered from the library. Every now and then she makes a note of something on her phone, but for the most part she just looks like your average Waver, trying to distract herself.]
???
[Eventually she'll get bored with reading and attempt to go exploring. She's not daft enough to leave the stairs on any floor that looks suspicious, but sometimes things don't go according to plan, do they? It only occurs to her after some time that she should probably rush back to her room before nightfall, if what she heard was true...]

[Hope she wanted an armful of daughter, because she's getting one.]
Mum! I don't know what happened, but suddenly I woke up in a strange room and I couldn't find any of you--!
no subject
I think the same thing that happened to me a month ago happened to you now.
[She waits for a moment, hugging Waver and making the child comfortable. It's only then that she delivers the grim news.]
We have been...kidnapped. By strange and powerful beings. As far as I know, we're stuck here with no way out.
no subject
A month ago? That doesn't make any sense! I saw you before I went to sleep.
[DAMN YOU, SECOND MAGIC!]

[She looks down at the girl in her arms. What was wrong with Waver's memories?]

[From what she remembered, Derry had indeed panicked about something, but she isn't sure if this will match with Waver's memories.]
no subject
[So more of the usual, really.]
no subject
[That sounds like the same night she was kidnapped, then.]
It seems that this place not only messes with different worlds, but different times.
[She knows its rulers are free to do as they wish, but seeing their powers at work still surprise her a little.]

[Must try not to hope, must try not to hope...]
no subject
[She waits a moment for this to sink in, and then speaks again.]
Though...there is a Diarmuid here.

[The disapproving look on her face makes her thoughts obvious. She had not wanted Waver to speak to Diarmuid, since his strange philosophy would only encourage her willfulness.]
no subject
He told me there are two other Wavers like me in the tower, but that they're both blokes. Isn't that odd?
no subject
...Certainly. This Tower seems to have access to a variety of very strange universes.

I have yet to meet either of them, so I wouldn't know.
[A slight smile appears on her face.]
But I'm sure you'd be very handsome. Like your father or your brother.
no subject
[This is such a weird conversation to have, but if it keeps the topic away from more unpleasant things, Waver doesn't mind one bit.]
no subject
[That was one part of it. The other part is that the only thing which could encourage Waver's willfulness more than Diarmuid was her other selves.]
no subject
[They could be traditionalists!]
no subject
So please, do watch who you talk to, even if they are the people you know. Some of them have valuable information on this place, but a fair number could be dangerous.
no subject
I'll be careful, mum.
no subject
[She would do whatever little she could to protect her daughter.]
no subject
[This is a promise she'll try her hardest to keep. With everything else on her mum's mind, Waver doesn't need to add to it...]
no subject
Good girl. Now, do you wish to go anywhere? I'll accompany you there if I'm familiar with it.
