[OPEN] MAGICAL MIDGET ADVENTURES... STARTO!
Characters: [AU7] Waver Velvet, OPEN
Setting: Dormitory floors, fourth floor, random floors.
Format: Action
Summary: Waver searches for her family, sulks around as Wavers do, and then explores a little.
Warnings: May include monsters etc. I'll update accordingly.
Dormitories
[Waver doesn't want to believe what she's been told. It would be so much easier to tell herself this is a prank, or she's being held for ransom, or... something. And that's why, as soon as she's able, the magus wanders the dormitory floors with only one goal on her mind...]
Brother! Brother? Derry! Where have you gone? Derry...!
[The girl's search for her sibling is more than a little frantic, and she'll stop to ask anyone if they've seen him, whether she recognises them or not.]
Floor 4
[After giving up her search, Waver can be found sulking in an out-of-the-way chair with her bowl of oatmeal and a small pile of books pilfered from the library. Every now and then she makes a note of something on her phone, but for the most part she just looks like your average Waver, trying to distract herself.]
???
[Eventually she'll get bored with reading and attempt to go exploring. She's not daft enough to leave the stairs on any floor that looks suspicious, but sometimes things don't go according to plan, do they? It only occurs to her after some time that she should probably rush back to her room before nightfall, if what she heard was true...]

[Argument, discussion, whatever.]
She didn't seem to understand why I was angry she wasn't going to fight for her son's right to do with his life what he wanted to, and I couldn't understand why she would ever give up fighting for herself and her family. We both said things we probably shouldn't have...

[The wilfulness is strong in this one.]

Very good! I am glad to hear that. Most magi....they don't get it. They think they are so powerful and invincible, but they defeat themselves before they even start by letting go of what they really want and instead striving for the goals they are told they want.
There are two other versions of you in this place as odd as that might sound and both are male, but something tells me you will get along well. None of you are willing to let others tell you what you should be doing with your life.
Your brother is very lucky to have you there to understand and protect him.
no subject
[As to the rest of that, Waver shakes her head.]
No, that's wrong... I'm the lucky one. He could have been bitter and angry that my existence is a constant reminder that papa doesn't think he's good enough. He could have hated me for being the heir the way other magi siblings do. Instead, Derry has loved and protected and supported me my whole life.
no subject
No, if he really is me reincarnate there is no way he could ever be like that. He would not hate you for something you cannot control. He likely cannot hate at all for better or worse. I expect you could have no better protector than him and it gladdens me that he has found something to bring him joy considering his...situation. Do you two always get along, then?
no subject
[Oh dear. She's not sniffling and tearing up, she's just trying not to sneeze and has something in her eye.]
We'd bicker like siblings do and all that sort of thing, but I'd never really argued with him before today. He doesn't approve of me dating Mister Iskander and I... I c-called him an idiot--!
[AND NOW HE'S DEAD AND SHE IS THE WORST SISTER EVER]
no subject
Well...if he is anything like me, he IS an idiot sometimes. I'm sure he's not angry at you, though. He just worries that this...Mister Iskander might...
[What a minute. Wait just a minute...]
Did you just say you're dating Rider?
no subject
No, I said I went on a date with Mister Iskander. I don't know anyone named Rider.
no subject
My apologies. Iskander, also known as Alexander the Great, was summoned as the servant Rider on my world. I am going to guess that your Iskander is another reincarnated Heroic Spirit, right? He would be a very large man, with red hair and a very...loud personality.
no subject
That's right! I don't know that I'd call him loud, when he's actually a bit shy with me, but I find him very charming.
no subject
And has he treated you well? If you call him charming, I would guess he did.
[He can't imagine Rider not treating someone he cared about well--though whose definition of well might be up for debate. However, if she had fought with her dear brother about this, does that mean there is something Diarmuid is missing?]
no subject
He has! He even gave me a Saber figure for a present, although Derry didn't approve of it. But I thought it was very... him. Sometimes that means more than flowers or sweets, don't you think?
[You don't understand, Diarmuid. Derry loves his little sister!]
no subject
[Diarmuid gives her shoulder a gentle squeeze.]
And try not to be too upset with your brother. He is just doing what all brothers do. He is being over protective of his sister and feels no one is good enough for her. I know my boys were that way about their sister.
[No, he has no idea how much Derry loves his sister. It's probably better that way...]
no subject
[CRYING WAVER 2: RETURN OF THE WATERWORKS. Fortunately, she doesn't understand how much Derry loves her either, so NO ONE WILL EVER KNOW.]
no subject
Easy. Just because they say our worlds are gone, doesn't mean they are. They have lied to use before and there is both proof for them being gone and proof for them not being so. And, if you feel as if the evidence is strong enough that they are gone, there are rumors that people were working on a way to return them to normal so all is not lost.
[He doesn't mention that the person who had been working on that is now dead, though.]
no subject
I've n-never been separated from him be-before, I don't know if I c-can handle it... I'm only tough because he.. he's m-my knight...
no subject
Shhh... It's all right. You will be all right. There are plenty of people who will help you here. They may not be the family you left behind, but they are still a family. They will help you stand until you can stand on your own.
[He pulls back from her slightly, gently cupping her face in his hand so he can look into her eyes.]
I know I am not your brother, but I will do whatever I can to help you. You can always come to me when you are in need. If you do not think you can stand alone right now, then we will work together to make you stronger--to make you into someone who your brother can be proud of. Someone who can carry on the memory of that brave knight.

Even if you can't believe in yourself, I believe in you. You will be okay.
