Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

Say, how many people do you have working the kitchens?

[Glancing at the door to the kitchen area, he shrugs.]

Don't think there's anyone in there right now. Patrick was there earlier, haven't really looked in 'cept when I was makin' sandwiches. Think I left a plate back there.

[He's tilting his head.]

Why? Y'need something?

Nah, I just wanted to know who I should be thanking for the food.

Ah, yeah, they're around here somewhere. Patrick's the guy with the permanent red stain on his face.

[Look who's talking.]

You mean Rick? Yeah, I've run into him before. He's a good guy. We've fought together before. He has cool powers.

Powers?

[Pausing here, because what.]

That guy has powers?

Yeah, he turns into all sorts of animals. Like a cat. Or a tiger. Or a huge dragon thing. Or was it dinosaur? Anyway, it's huge, has lots of teeth, and is awesome to ride on.

[Staring. Just. Staring. Lancer, you had better not be shitting him.]

...That guy is a shapeshifter?

Yeah, pretty much. Not sure how he does it, but he can do it.

Huh, never would'a pegged him for someone with powers. Say, weren't ya with Diarmuid earlier?

Nah, he mentioned he had a brother, and just the way you two acted back there... I guess I should thank ya for the help.

Don't sweat it. I should be thanking you for throwing this party.

[Reno's eyebrows raise a little, a half smile forming.]

Well, you were one of the earliest here and doing your best to set up. And you're checking on the kitchen too. Sure acting like a host here.

[Shrugging, he makes a motion at the kitchen.]

Patrick or Elena could'a been the ones too, y'know.

[Not confirming either way.]

Ya want to help me bring more food out?

Sure. Do I get first dibs on grabbing a plate?
