Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

[Rick stops dead in his tracks, face flushing deep behind the first batch of warm cookies Elena's made.]

...S-S-Sorry... [Then, with significantly more assertion (because it's a lot easier to blame himself for something than to try and justify it): ] --M-My f-f-fault. I-I'll c-c-clean it up, d-d-don't w-worry.

[Oh- Patrick again. He really is a poor thing, always catching her at inopportune moments. But Chidori quite emphatically rolls her eyes at him and sets her hands on her hips.]

Unless you made this entire mess yourself, no. You will not.

[He very weakly tries to argue at first: ]

B-But m-m-most of it--I m-mean I'm m-m-m-making--

[and then he realizes how fruitless a battle this is, so he gives up.]

...I-I'll h-help, at l-least.

Only if someone else is going to be helping you.

[Because buddy, you can bet it's not gonna be her.]

[Good thing he had no intention of roping her into this!]

I-It's fine--R-Reno's been h-helping. Should be o-okay.

[...although he has no intention of roping him into helping clean up, either. But if it makes Chidori feel better...]

[You don't want to make her go pick people out by energy signature Rick, you really don't.]

[Rick flounders rather helplessly.]

...W-Well I'm s-s-sure whoever, uh...s-s-sent out the m-message or...I g-guess they did s-s-some w-work, too.

[After all, he wasn't the first one to arrive--it seemed like Reno and Elena had been there before him. Maybe they were working with whoever their mysterious organizer was?]

Uh... huh.

[She arches a brow faintly.]

Well, I hope it gets figured out. Because if I come back and have to deal with the mess from this I will be... cross.

[His response is immediate and understandably harried.]

--O-Of course! I--y-you w-w-won't have to d-d-deal with a-anything. I p-promise. It's t-taken care of.

Good.

[And then she sighs, and tilts her head at him, blinking slowly once again.]
