Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

I'd like that! I haven't played in a long time, so you'll probably be way better than me.

I am really good, that's true. [He nods, grinning and clearly pleased with himself. He's not really; more like average at best.]

We can do it after we practise sword fighting! Like, a way to relax and stuff!

Sounds good to me. Did you find a sword?

[He shakes his head.] Not yet. I'm going to ask on the network soon. I hope someone's able to help out.

I'll see if I can get a sword off an orc tonight. They're pretty common, usually.

[The issue is if the sword will be short enough to really work for Sealand. But there's nothing he can do about that.]

A monster?! [He gasps and grabs Aleph's hand.] Can I come with you? I can help you get it, I can!

[Aleph hesitates before answering.] I can't really support that until you're armed and trained... You'd probably just end up watching in the best case scenario. And we could run into something worse than orcs.

[He doesn't sound completely confident. This is a case in which asking really, really nicely may get you what you want, Sealand.]

But I have a rocket punch, I- I could help. And I'll be good, I'll do everything you say, I promise! Please, Aleph!

[Look at these big, pleading eyes, Aleph.]

You have to be okay with being guarded at all times. And if we have to run you have to be okay with being carried by a giant fly demon. I don't think Lilim can lift you.

If you agree to that, then you may come with me.

[Sealand whoops, nodding eagerly.]

I will! I'll let you do that, I promise!

[Wait.]

What do you mean by "fly demon"?

[Oh.] Well, I'm a demon summoner, and I fight alongside them when I go out at night. So it means what it sounds like. Giant fly demon.

You summon demons? [Wow, this is something he should have mentioned!]

Well- okay, yeah! I'm fine with giant flying demons carrying me! [That sounds fun.] Which floor are we going to?

[Aleph nods at the first question. Maybe he should have mentioned it, but he has so many other weird things to mention too, it's easier just to say them as they come up.]

Since it's night, monsters will show up on practically any floor. We'll be sticking to the top of the tower, in case we need to run. They're usually decent ground for battling, too.

Okay! And we'll do it tonight?

[He eats the last spoonful of ice cream, looking up eagerly. It's rare he has the guts to go out seeking any monsters, but he has Aleph with him, so he knows it'll be okay. And he'll see some fighting!]
