Characters: Anyone and everyone
Setting: Cafeteria, Noon, Nov 7th
Format: Anything
Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.
Warnings: tba

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

"I agree." Ion positively beams in his agreement, the whole of his young, pale face lighting up in that charming way its so built for. "The people here are strong; I've never met a group of people who've shown themselves capable of such fortitude." And in the face of such unending cruelty, this assertion was doubly true. Though he wouldn't wish these conditions on anyone, Ion was proud to be able to say that his friends from home were some of those who he could count amongst their ranks.

It was unfortunate, then, that he didn't feel as if he, himself, was providing any notable sort of assistance. But that was neither here nor there. So Ion stands and extends a hand to the friendly stranger. "Forgive me, I don't believe we've ever officially met? I'm Ion."

When Ion's face lights up it's hard for Amelia's to not follow suit, she's always been this way. Seeing other people be happy just makes it hard for her to stay down, even now. "They're really something aren't they? It's hard to imagine some of these people have been here for even longer than I have, this has been the most horrible place I've seen in my life..."

But when he extends a hand she smiles again, it's true they've never been introduced before! So with that she takes his hand and gives it a firm shake, complete with a polite, small bow. "It's nice to meet you, Ion! I'm Amelia, Knight of the Grado Empire at your service."

"It's a pleasure to meet you as well, Amelia. That's a lovely name." Always the charmer, even if it's nothing more than a well-practiced formality. "And you're a knight! How wonderful. Back on my home world, Auldrant, I dealt with a great deal of knights and soldiers." At the thought of his home, he can't help but put his hands over his heart, resting comfortably around the tuning fork he wears about his neck.

"I find it to be a noble profession. I'm sure the Grado Empire is lucky to have you."

Being complimented like that isn't something that happens too frequently in the Tower and at it she can't help but smile a bit more brightly, fighting back just the faintest hint of a blush. There was some curiosity as well! Auldrant wasn't a name she recognized offhand but hey, if they had knights too she was interested!

Learning about other worlds was turning into something of a passion of hers.

"Why thank you, Ion! You've dealt with knights before...?" He didn't really look like a soldier himself... but then after everything she'd seen she knew better than to underestimate somebody because of how they looked. "Were you in the army?"

Ion can't help but laugh at the idea of being a soldier, himself. "Oh, no. Not exactly." How silly would he look in all that amour? And how terrible would he be at holding a weapon? Sure, Daathic Fonic Artes could prove useful but...not when he was fainting on the battlefield. And, if he were honest, he didn't exactly want to have to engage in direct combat. He was much more partial to diplomacy.

"On my world, I hold the title of Fon Master--it's what they call the head of the Order of Lorelei. We're a religious organization, but we do boast a military wing. Those individuals are called the Oracle Knights." He smiles. It's a bit strained, for a moment, but then it brightens up. "It's a bit complicated, when all's said and done, but it's easy to say that I'm a diplomat, of sorts. In any case, a few of the people I'd count among my good friends are soldiers!"

Alright, that takes a moment to actually sink in. First off she's dealing with another Very Important Person from another world, it seems. In a way they sort of remind her of Rausten, a country from her home that was probably the most religious in the world, and the Knights of Rausten were no pushovers. Secondly though...

It's probably just a coincidence, but when she hears the name 'Order of Lorelei' the first thing that springs to mind is the man by the same name that she'd met not too long ago. There's a clear pause on her part as she turns that piece of information over in her head, surely it's just a coincidence, right...? Could that man have been far more important than she'd realized? "Oh! Well it's an honor to meet you, sir! Er, unless you'd prefer just Ion?"

Ion chuckles a little, and shakes his head. "Just Ion is fine! I hope we can become quick friends."

Now that he was off of Auldrant, he couldn't help but feel a bit awkward when people addressed him formally. They were all in this together, after all, weren't they? There was no need for him to be treated as if he was of a different status, especially around people who knew nothing of his religious order or the ideals surrounding it. All the things they had fought to change that it stood for--the thoughtless following of prophecies, the inevitability of fate and lethargy that tended to come of it.

Ion had enough doubts about his own position to be enthusiastic about anyone new letting the title affect how they saw him.

"Ion it is!" Although her upbringing and time in the army has left her generally inclined to address people of such importance by whatever proper titles they may have, she can understand why someone might prefer a more easygoing approach and it takes no time at all to adjust to just calling him by his name.

"I've been here for what feels like forever and I'm still amazed at how many other worlds there are..."
