Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

If I could manipulate the structure of the tower itself, I would rather prepare to shield myself than to get out of the way for as long as possible, too.

...He did seem more focused on protecting us with this power, though.

Yeah, that was weird. Riki never seemed too bothered about us last year, an' I still remember hearin' about people getting sick from the cafeteria food that one month.

[He's frowning, thinking on this point a little more in depth.]

Why's he all suddenly worried 'bout us dyin'? Some of the floors he set up are insane.

Dax clearly had some measure of trust in him. He...he did feel safe telling him he thought Ruana worse than Jason, after all. Perhaps...this is his way of grieving.

*He doesn't think he'll ever get that out of his head - the sight of Ruana clawing at him, the panic of thinking she would see what he'd intended for Dax, the panic of thinking everything was lost and that Dax had suffered on their behalf...*

[Yep, still frowning, but now for a different reason.]

Y'lost me there, Enoch. I think I missed something in my history lessons.

You might not have seen it... Just before the beginning of...of the last month of Dax's life, we saw an accidental broadcast. Dax was chastising Riki for his...'distraction' that month. He commented that Ruana was next, and she was even worse than Jason. Riki told him he shouldn't say things like that, and...Ruana appeared. She talked about your wedding as if she hadn't heard, but...then we all saw an image of hands shredding Dax apart, though it seemed like it was an illusion.

I should have realized it was an omen.

[He frowns, hooks his thumbs in his pockets and shifts his weight away from Enoch.

In all the time since then and now, Reno had forgotten the video. Had wanted to forget it. The wedding itself doesn't sit well in his memory, being blotted out by the dark shadow that had encroached.]

Yeah, I remember that now.

*It was easy to miss those accidental recordings, especially if there was some distraction like preparing for something. When he realized he in fact had seen it, Enoch guiltily shifted away, himself.*

...I thought you might have missed it in all your preparations. I'm sorry.
