Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

"And they might have, we won't have known. That was what I was saying." His eyes were wide now, "It doesn't matter at all... how do we even know how much time we've got left, if time has been suspended we could all die tomorrow... we wouldn't know."

Unfortunately Asch doesn't know Shion very well or he would know he was about to have a meltdown on his hands.

"If they had that power, then they'd be stupid not to use it. If they could wipe us away, then why allow us to remember Dax and his messages? Why allow us the chance of starting a rebellion at all? Just reset everyone to keep them complacent." Asch shakes his head faintly.

"But they haven't, therefore, we have to assume they can't. So why waste energy worrying about it?"

"But..." That was a good point, why wouldn't they have taken that memory. But then again. Why show them? Why would they show them when they knew it would evoke anger.

Fear was the obvious answer, "They like us scared, they can take information, but they won't take fear. How..." He tried to take a deep breath, his hands shaking. "You're right, we can't waste time worrying about what could be inevitable. We can only work with the information we think is true."

His breathing was still shaky but he nodded.

Asch isn't the person you go to when you need someone calmed down. He's not good at emotional comfort, being composed mostly of thinking and grouchy.

But it seems like it helped anyway. Note to self, work on kid with steadfast logic.

"If we stop because of what might happen, then we won't go anywhere." He folds his arms, looking rather sour. "Personally, I like to think that my will means something."

Shion blinked, it was true. Nothing would happen if they didn't even try. He wasn't sure their will did mean anything, but he would like to think so. Think that they still had some control.

"We have to try..."
