Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

Last year, they managed to create small fireplaces for one of the communal floors. Perhaps if you're able to find someone skilled in working the material, or if you're able to find the material to light... The challenge is to build enough either in size or number, without endangering the room itself or the people near them. I wish I could remember more about them...

...oh, they were gone the next day. Whatever is to be kept would have to be guarded through the night.

[There's a slight nod. It sounded more complicated than he assumed, but that went for most things.]

Does something come to interfere at night? I know there's monsters about, but they don't seem terribly directed beyond hostility.

Things left lying about have a tendency to be cleaned up when we aren't looking, especially if they can help us in some way that's inconvenient to our hosts.

How might a campfire inconvenience those that control this very place? Are they so afraid of the flame?

[There's a pause, and a slight frown.]

Or is it a matter of people being warm being the inconvenience?

If Jason deliberately left us to the elements for his experiment, yes, it would be keeping ourselves warm that is inconvenient to him. It would interfere with his plans.
