Characters: Anyone and everyone
Setting: Cafeteria, Noon, Nov 7th
Format: Anything
Summary: A party/discussion mingle after calling a meeting of the residents.
Warnings: tba

The anonymous post on the network was an invitation to gather, discuss and share information. Maybe they would get incredibly lucky and get to the bottom of things, such as who was behind the bombings or the strange things that went on during Quarantine.

Someone has been at work down here in the dining hall, moving the tables around to create a space in the middle in case people felt like dancing. Most of the chairs are around the outside and facing the middle, for everyone to see each other better. There was another space and some chairs for musicians, and a couple of the larger tables were set up with a large buffet of normal cafeteria food (because Zo wasn't likely to poison them) and resident prepared dishes, both clearly marked.

Of course, there was always the oatmeal.

...Point. He probably doesn't see the problem with her at all.

[He breathes out a laugh-- a halfhearted one, at that, closing his eyes and giving a slight shake of his head.]

I've seen that happen before. A friend of mine once believed so strongly in someone that he never stopped to consider her real intentions. He just assumed she was his friend, that she was there to help, when all she really wanted was power and control. To her, he was just a tool.

[It makes him wonder if that's what Zo is. Another unwitting pawn? Something about that rubs him the wrong way, given his apparent age.]

I think the hardest part about acting against people like Ganon and even Ruana is staying one step ahead of them. You kind of have to stay alert, keep your eyes on them and making the right moves. It's tough, but if you ever need a hand.

[He extends his arm, willing his Keyblade into his grip in a flash.]

I'm always up for a little action.

Unless he is playing a very elaborate game with us, I imagine that Zo is in a hard spot right now. The other Administrators are his family in a twisted way, but he does seem to want to help us. It is why, aside from my inability to completely trust that he is what he seems, I dislike those who seem to actively be trying to turn him against the others. If he is just a confused boy with a amazing powers, how does turning him into a tool against the others make us any better than the Administrators who use us to satisfy their whims everyday?

[Diarmuid frowns as Riku mentions his friend. This is something he has seen happen too many times and that experience is clear in his voice when he speaks.]

To those with pure hearts, who wish to only see the good in others...Fate is far too cruel so many times. They are often stronger than we give them credit for, but that doesn't help when we see them in pain because someone has hurt them. Because their trust has hurt them.

[He shakes his head, lost in thought for a moment, though is attention is drawn back to Riku fully when the boy summons his weapon. In fact, a curious look crosses Diarmuid's face, since he has never seen a weapon quite like that before, though he pushes away his questions for a moment. Instead, he summons his own spear to return Riku's salute. Once he has done so, he dismisses the weapon as so not to draw too much attention to them.]

I greatly appreciate your offer. I will remember that as I hope that you will remember me offering the same to you. Now, if you don't mind, may I ask about your...blade? It is a type of sword, correct?

[Riku nods. Trying to force someone to choose sides causes just as many problems. It happened with Sora, creating a ton of friction, even if at the time he felt it was necessary. They need to tread carefully, and it's something he'll keep in mind.

But since they're on the subject, Riku might as well focus in on his Keyblade.]

Yeah, the Keyblade's basically just a souped up sword that's got the added bonus of opening and closing any locks, even the ones leading to the hearts of worlds.

The hearts of worlds? I know it was believed that the world was alive when I first lived, though that has changed as time passed, but an actual heart?

[Diarmuid gives the weapon an impressed and admiring look.]

How amazing. A great deal of power and a great deal of responsibility, I imagine. It is good you have one like Sora to help you bear that responsibility.
