But no, really.

Naoto's glad to see Yu. Even in his wireframe form there was really no mistaking him. His silhouette was unique. It was the shape of his body, his posture, the way he held himself, the way he walked. All those little things that made him recognizable even without the glamour failure.]

It seems like Dax's chips did their job quite well.
