PARTY TIME!
Characters: Marty and EVERYONE ELSE. Start your own threads, mingle, make CR!
Setting: Floor 38, the big lounge floor just under the dorms, BEST STORM VIEW
Format: Your choice
Summary: STORM WATCHING PARTY! So the power is out and there's tons of thunderstorms. But don't let that get you down, WATCH THE THUNDERSTORMS! Also pancakes and coffee.
Warnings: STORM WATCHING ! Lots of thunder
Marty had enough of the darkness in the tower and the creeping monsters, so when he looked at the mass of pancakes the automatic pancake maker had made, he loaded them up along with the coffee maker, coffee, the syrup, and toted them all the way up to Floor 38.
There was no way he was going to let those massive stacks of pancakes go to waste, and this was the closest floor to the dorms that actually had some place to hang out, so he set the pancakes up as a sort of continental breakfast, and sat watching the storm.
What he hadn't expected was the people to start trickling in.

He was making his way up to the dorms when he got distracted on the lounge, the windows here made it so that you could still see the storm, from inside. He went over to one and pressed his face up against it watching the lightning.

So what if the televisions down on Floor 14 didn't work? A thunderstorm was just as good, maybe better, because you could get into it because it was real.

Remembering that meeting was painful, not like it would have been a week or two ago but still. He searched for something to say, "I'm Shion, what's your name?"

"Say uh... those are some pretty amazing scars. How'd you get them?"

He still was slightly confused by people with two or more names, but tended to find if he just repeated the full name people would tell him what to call them.
"Oh," he blinked, it wasn't a subject that came up a lot surprisingly, though Shion didn't mind explaining. "A wasp... not a normal wasp obviously. There are in... Where I come from a mutated strain of wasps, they are parasitic in nature and destroy the body from the inside before they emerge. One laid it's larvae inside me but I survived."

He paused, "Of course in that way they really aren't true parasites as it is generally accepted that though parasites are harmful they do play a part in balancing ecosystems, traditional parasites do not directly kill their host though some may cause diseases that can kill the host as a result.
Mostly though parasites, at least not when in the singular play an important part in the relationship between species, whereas these wasps... usually by the time you realise you have been infected it is too late, so far there have only been a handful of deaths but we worried... since once Spring came and the wasps became active again, they could theoretically wipe out the entire city"
He shut his mouth, it was probably the most amount of words he had said all month, to a complete stranger, who probably now thought he was crazy...

"That's... that's pretty heavy. I mean we got some wasps that can kill if you're allergic but- nothing like that."
