What is the Glamour System? Is this something to do with the admins and their games?

I don't know. I don't know anything right now but Gandalf has been here longer and he is the wisest of the Istari to my mind. He may know something that we do not.

I see......I wondered what that strange message on the invitation to the Masquerade Ball was about. It was, in a way, a warning from 'Pandora' to the rest of the tower of what was to come. Am I correct?

I don't know. I just--you see, I had this sickness, and now it's gone. It makes me think maybe it was never there at all, that it was an illusion, that we're really like this somehow.

[Kariya puts his arm around her, and as she slumps, he moves to hold her. He doesn't care that their bodies are different, they're still the same people, and he still loves her. She's important to him.]

Of course. I wouldn't leave you for anything. [He can't let her be alone at a time like this.]

I don't want to be alone either. [He smiles. Or tries to. Who knows if it works with his face like this.] I'll always be here for you, if you need me. I'll do whatever I can for you.

It'll be okay. Somehow. If we're together.

I'm glad you recognized me. I might've missed you. [He reaches out to steady Rolo.] It's good to see you. [He doesn't want Rolo to have to be alone, if he's upset.] Even if things are like this.

You think--this is really real, then? Not an illusion? [He looks down at himself.] I was thinking that too, but it's hard to tell sometimes, with the way they alter us and manipulate us.

But my illness is gone, for the first time. So I was thinking, maybe it is real. If our bodies are just illusions, maybe my sickness was, too.

I'm glad they were both nice, then! And I promise--I won't break my promise. [He laughs.]

I think your daddy was right.

That sounds like a fun game. I used to play a lot of games with my nieces, but I've never played that one before. Maybe I'll have to try it sometime.

Is that your favorite game?

Oh--that. No, I didn't hear it, but I met someone who did. And the worms--I think they reacted to it. They were acting strangely.

[He pauses to think.]

That's--why would they do that? Didn't they know it could be dangerous? Everyone's so upset and frightened. Where did they even get those things?

I'd think they were from Dax. So maybe they thought it would help us.

[Kariya might once have felt that way, seen Lancelot as a tool, as a means to an end, but he doesn't now.]

You're a person. Maybe I don't know you as well as I could, but--I do know you.

[On an impulse, he puts an arm around Lancelot. He's probably still stronger than Kariya, even as they are now, but he's not afraid of him. Lancelot's done so much for him. He doesn't think Lancelot would hurt him, even if he's distraught.]

I can't feel you either, not in the same way. The contract's gone. But I know we're both here together now, and there's not even a War here. There's no Grail. So does it really matter?

That's one of the retrieval units here. They're incredibly strong, I've only seen them killed when attacked by many people.
