*Okay, so much for that. Enoch braces himself on the stairs and swings the sling for momentum before letting the stone fly at the leader orc. Another stone is fumbled out of the film pouch as he looks up, hoping that they aren't mobilizing him too quickly. A single slinger wasn't meant to take on a whole group by himself...*

[Minato doesn't have her idol training. However, juggling between his studies and acting as a SEES leader taught him to be (and pretend to be) strong.]

Fairly fine so far. I was surprised by what happened earlier.

"If it's done without malicious intentions..."

He can think of a few possibilities. Either the administrators made a spectacular mistake, or a group--the scale seemed too much for a single individual--wish to deal a fatal blow to them.

"If it was intended, something should be done about it. If it goes on for any longer, I'm not sure what's going to happen from us."

Because he's going to guess that this would prompt another action from them. Either calculated or driven by desperation.

[There's no use in trying to be stealthy anymore. While that blue wireframed fellow is providing cover fire with—whatever that thing is, he can't tell in the rush of chaos that's ensuing—David's bolting for the staircase. Maybe they can ditch the pack of orcs—if nothing else, the starcase provides both some high ground and a chokepoint.]

[Meanwhile, Enoch's sling shot smashes the leader of the pack right in the face. While whatever tolerance to pain they might have developed from the mangling they've endured in the past might help them shrug off the pain of injury, it's not going to help them much from the utter ruination brought about by a hefty stone flung like a speeding car. The pack leader is sent flopping backwards onto the film-coated tower floor with a loud CRUNCH, dropping its sword as it does.]

[By now the other orcs are reacting. One of them has a bow and set of arrows of its own, and it's already nocking one in preparation for firing back at Enoch, while the others of the pack have turned just in time to see their leader fall, and David running for the staircase.]

[Lancer winces. For him, hearing that sort of anger coming out of Diarmuid is all too familiar.]

I...I know. I know he's hurting. That's why I wanted to set the two of you up. I wanted him to hurt less. He...

[Lancer audibly gulps.]

[Next, he turns his eyes toward Waver.]

Yeah, I know. It's gone too far.

They might have been fake, but they gave us some nice memories.

[Diarmuid accepts the hug as he debates on whether or not he should tell his brother her name. Normally, there would be no question, but right now knowing that she doesn't feel the same way, he fears that his brother might try to push her into something she doesn't want to do.

He sits back from the hug so he can do his best to look his brother in the eyes. It's a little harder with their forms as they currently are.]

I need you to swear to me on the thing you hold most dear that you will not do anything to pressure her if I tell you her name. I have reason to believe she loves someone else and I won't come between people again, brother. I won't repeat what happened before. If I must love her from a distance, then that is what I will do. It is better than not having loved at all.

[Setting Diarmuid up with one person after another was his apology, in a way. He can't love Diarmuid himself, so he'll set Diarmuid up with some who can love him. And now the same thing was happening, only Diarmuid's love wasn't directed at Cu Chulainn himself.]

I expect they are working very hard and very fast to do just that.

[He has to believe that anyway, because if not it just compounds his own mistake especially since he knows so few of the actual details that he has no way to help with any of those plans.]

And if not them, others who might not have been involved before will be now. It's kind of hard to keep secrets when everyone is being impacted like this.
