Midsummer Bash

Setting: Floor 25, July 5, afternoon
Format: Open
Summary: Lancer throws a party for midsummer, since the Tower obviously needs a breather.
Warnings: None so far.

[To be honest, Lancer wanted to have the party in the evening, sometime around twilight. That would have been the most romantic time for it. Unfortunately, when in the Tower, one had to account for things like monsters. As a result, he had to hold it during the afternoon. But it wasn't too bad of a compromise.]

[This was, of course, a more simple affair than Diarmuid's birthday. For food, he had hauled a couple of tables up here and lined the table with dinner food. The centerpiece was a cake which had a heart drawn on it in red frosting. In one corner of the meadow, he had used some boxes and tarp to make some sort of booth where people could hide from the sun (and steal kisses off of each other). In the center of the meadow, he had piled a large stack of wood, perfect for lighting a bonfire by the party's end. The structures had all been surrounded with wreaths made from the meadow's flowers.]

[As soon as he's done with the setup, Lancer will sit down next to the firewood pile, waiting for people to come.]

[By the smile on his face, it should be obvious that he's kidding.]

[ Enjoy the slight squeal of surprise coming from her, Lancer. ]

Well, I must say that my--ah "heart"?--is taken by another. I am deeply sorry for this.

[puppy_lancer]

[He gives a barking laugh.]

That's alright. I was just joking.

H-Hey, no laughing!

[puppy_lancer]

[He stops laughing, but still has the naughty grin on his face.]

And if I asked you on a date? Just as friends?

[immortalia]

[ She stares at him for a moment. ]

What do you do on a date?

[puppy_lancer]

Oh, I take you out for dinner. And then we hang around on one of the prettier floors. Maybe even a kiss or two...

[immortalia]

I cannot properly digest nor break down anything I eat beyond electricity. I would not mind being on one of the prettier floors and I regret to inform you that all you would be kissing is silicone and the metal beneath it.

[puppy_lancer]

...Uh...is that...different from kissing flesh and bone?

[Then again, they were all film and wiring anyways...]

No, but it would be colder.

[puppy_lancer]

[He scratches his head.]

Can I try it then? See what it feels like?

[immortalia]

I suppose I cannot stop you. Go ahead.

[puppy_lancer]

[He leans over and gently gives her a kiss on the lips.]

[ At first, Sertoria does nothing to retaliate nor back away. She quickly tries to find information about love in her database. Eventually, she finds something about kissing and how to do it.

Then, a memory flashes in her mind of when Joshua initiated something like this. Would it be all right...?

Gingerly, she returns it with her hand gripping slightly on the ground beneath them. ]

[Her lips are soft, but cold. He can't feel the typical warmth of kissing human lips. After feeling her return it, he pulls away.]

Is this your first time?

[immortalia]

[ She blinks for a few minutes when he pulls away, placing her fingers to her lips as if preserving the taste. ]

Kind of.

[puppy_lancer]

[He nods.]

Not bad.

[immortalia]

Even if I am mechanical...?

[puppy_lancer]

Yep. Even if it doesn't feel the same, it's a nice kiss.

I... Thank you?

[puppy_lancer]

You know, if you ever wanna learn more about kissing, I could teach you.

[ She's asking that mainly to herself because of her feelings, however little they are, on Joshua. ]

[puppy_lancer]

Why wouldn't it be? We both know that it'll only be for practice.

This is true, I just... I do not want to upset my friend.
