To Drown Out
Characters: Enoch never intended it but, everyone who's up for drinking!
Setting: Cafeteria, throughout the day (sorry team indigo)
Format: Party, do what you want!
Summary: With Riki being generous with the food again, Enoch decides to see, first, if he can still get drunk at all, and second, if being drunk will help keep his new headmate quiet. A (not-so-) surprising amount of people are likely to be interested in drinking with him.
Warnings: Drunken shenanigans. Possible angst because he might actually talk about Eleven under the influence. Might also talk about gory details of the meeting with Ruana. Did I say drunken shenanigans? I think I need to say that again.
*Much like just before the glamour failure, Enoch sits with several bottles of red wine from the kitchen stock. Unlike then, he has no extra glasses out to share with. He is not drinking to a plunge into the unknown. He is drinking to drown things. Mostly, the voice screaming in his head.
But nothing really changes the fact that any modern wine is of much higher quality than anything his time could produce, and he's savoring its flavor too, in long sips. It's almost a distraction, itself.
Speaking of distractions, he certainly won't object to any company, and if it turns into a larger gathering he may get so caught up in it he'll forget how much he's had.
And so might you. Care to grab a drink for yourself? He won't mind if you ask for some of the wine he has.*
((ooc: Of course you can approach Enoch like any other log, but due to interest expressed this is actually more of a mingle! Start games and contests if you'd like or just hang out and have your characters get drunk or bodyguard or spectate. Please identify new games and contests in the header to make it clearer to people scrolling through! Naturally there can be several threads of the same game, considering this isn't organized at all.
Have fun, and do keep an eye out for monsters...))

"Romeo, you shouldn't be drinking that. It won't taste good, and you'll get drunk. The adults here are drinking quite a bit more than they should too, but it's more dangerous for you if you get drunk and run into a monster later on."

"I didn't say you were. However it's illegal where I live for people under twenty to be drinking like this, and even though there aren't any legal consequences here, if you get too drunk to defend yourself and wander into a monster later, I don't think you'll come out of it alive."

He just grinned and took another mouthful even though it tasted funny. He didn't mind about running into a monster because even if he died it wasn't proper dying.

"It may not be, but that still doesn't remove the possibility of you dying if you run into a monster later on and can't fight! We never know when Jason might decide to stop putting us back together, so it's important that we try to limit the number of times we die."

The bad people might lie but Romeo believed them when they said they weren't in control of people disappearing, so if that happened it would just happen.

"He might decide that the risk far outweighs the reward someday. And, even if Ruana forces him to keep doing it, she might get sick of bringing back some people eventually, and tell him that he can stop. It's just better not to risk dying unless it's important, especially when we still have things to do here."

"I'm glad to hear that you haven't died since then..but if you get drunk, you might not be able to fight as well. And Jason also wants to stay alive. If he thinks that we're too much of a liability or if Ruana orders him, he may put one priority above another."

"Alright then. However, if Ken's drunk too much, then have someone go with you both, alright? I just don't want something bad happening because everyone drunk too much to deal with it."

"I am. I wouldn't want you or anyone else here dying because they drank too much and didn't think about a plan. But if you have one in mind, then I guess there's nothing really stopping you."

"You're welcome, but you can just call me Tohko!"
It was nice to see someone that could still skip in this place. Hopefully Romeo and Ken wouldn't get into too much trouble though..hopefully. Tohko would just keep smiling and go back to the party and sticking her nose into other people's drinking.
