To Drown Out

Characters: Enoch never intended it but, everyone who's up for drinking!
Setting: Cafeteria, throughout the day (sorry team indigo)
Format: Party, do what you want!
Summary: With Riki being generous with the food again, Enoch decides to see, first, if he can still get drunk at all, and second, if being drunk will help keep his new headmate quiet. A (not-so-) surprising amount of people are likely to be interested in drinking with him.
Warnings: Drunken shenanigans. Possible angst because he might actually talk about Eleven under the influence. Might also talk about gory details of the meeting with Ruana. Did I say drunken shenanigans? I think I need to say that again.

*Much like just before the glamour failure, Enoch sits with several bottles of red wine from the kitchen stock. Unlike then, he has no extra glasses out to share with. He is not drinking to a plunge into the unknown. He is drinking to drown things. Mostly, the voice screaming in his head.

But nothing really changes the fact that any modern wine is of much higher quality than anything his time could produce, and he's savoring its flavor too, in long sips. It's almost a distraction, itself.

Speaking of distractions, he certainly won't object to any company, and if it turns into a larger gathering he may get so caught up in it he'll forget how much he's had.

And so might you. Care to grab a drink for yourself? He won't mind if you ask for some of the wine he has.*

((ooc: Of course you can approach Enoch like any other log, but due to interest expressed this is actually more of a mingle! Start games and contests if you'd like or just hang out and have your characters get drunk or bodyguard or spectate. Please identify new games and contests in the header to make it clearer to people scrolling through! Naturally there can be several threads of the same game, considering this isn't organized at all.

Have fun, and do keep an eye out for monsters...))

...Ah, so is limited?

How?

Well, they're not limited, but remember when I told you how our bodies are artificial here? Jason makes them, and if we die too many times due to silly reasons, he might decide to stop reviving us, which would put a damper on our efforts to save the universes. So we have to be careful.

Isn't the Dullard enemy though?

Dullard? Jason's not stupid, and we do need to beat him..but it's because we need to beat him that we have to be careful about dying, since he's the one in charge of our artificial bodies.
axeforasong: (But what if we all had axes)

Ah, I see, I see! Not much different from last time then!

Well..I wouldn't know..but that's why you have to be careful and not drink too much. I don't want to see you dying for good because you had one beer too many.

Haaah... to be honest? I don't get to drink too much in Drinking Game anyway. Not done enough in life.

Ah, so you weren't allowed to drink much when you played drinking games back home?

[Mayu's speaking patterns made it hard to understand her adventures sometimes.]
axeforasong: (It's okay! I'll just stab it!)

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-09-06 09:02 am (UTC)(link)
Well, is way Game works, yes?

Is "Never have I ever" done something; anyone who has, drinks. But if are young, not had enough experiences, yes? [in the 'not had enough time to go/see/do/axe all the things' sense]

Not very fair when playing with nations...

[Ah..Tohko thought she could put the pieces together now. She had been playing that game with a couple of nations and hadn't got drunk because she hadn't experienced much yet. At that, Tohko smiled and nodded.]

That's true. I imagine that most nations have experienced a lot more than most people. However, there are more drinking games than that one. Not that I'm encouraging you to play them, mind you.

[quietly ignoring that last part-] What are they?
tohko_amano: (puzzled)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2013-09-19 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there's always endurance games, and games to see who can drink the fastest, and there are games like Never Have I Ever, Beer Pong, and Quarters.
axeforasong: (is there something in my ear?)

[personal profile] axeforasong 2013-09-19 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Hmm... what are other two?
tohko_amano: (Apologetic)

[personal profile] tohko_amano 2013-09-19 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, Beer Pong consists of two teams that have to toss a ping pong ball into their opponents cup of beer. If they manage to do so, the opponent has to drink what's in the cup. The first team to empty all the opponents cups is the winner.

In Quarters, you have to make sure a coin lands into an empty cup. If you do, your opponent takes a drink, and the game usually tends to end when both parties are too drunk to continue.
