[Massive Infiltration Plot] || [Semi-Open]

Setting: The Cafeteria, then the Elevator's Shaft and finally the Administrative Floors. The 29th of July, in the morning.
Format: Action most likely.

Summary: A month ago Ganondorf planned an infiltration to go and pay a visit to Riki's floor-- Given what has happened these last weeks, the 'Evil Alliance' has accepted to allow Enoch and the people he gathered to use the infiltration in order to do their own thing. Namely, retrieve scientific instruments from Jason's laboratory, so as to study the Collar Fluid. The infiltration will begin on the 1st floor, the Cafeteria.

The first thread is a traditional mingle thread, happening before the infiltration and briefing begin; anyone can tag into it. The second thread is a quick briefing before the infiltration starts, where Enoch and Ganondorf will explain to everyone what to do and what to expect in case they don't already know. Then there are the seven group threads, one for each individual team infiltrating.

Warnings: Administrative floors, danger, death, horror. Anyone tagging here is probably going to die, or at the very least meet with a terrible fate.

[Kyoko, having had already adopted her Puella Magi uniform, rocks back in her chair as she scans the crowd. She's holding a handful of cookies, one of which sticks out of her mouth as she scans the crowd. It's her first infiltration mission and it's almost certain to end in death or worse, but even so, she doesn't seem terribly worried.

After all, those things are just part of being a Puella Magi. At least, that's what she tries to tell herself.]

[Oh good, somebody Amelia recognizes! And not only that but the person that tipped her off to this in the first place. Although there's a considerably more serious air about the young soldier than usual, she still manages a bit of a smile when she actually reaches Kyoko.]

I see you decided to raid the kitchen one last time before we do this?

[prayed]

[Kyoko nods, biting off a chunk of the cookie.]

Sure. It's gonna be too much of a pain to get anything once we get down there, y'know.

[She holds the container out to Amelia.]

[And her smile widens at that, happily taking the cookie before taking a bite out of it. It's the little things that brighten ones day afterall.]

Thank you! ... and yeah, I'm pretty sure if we just walk down there and ask if we can have some of their snacks they're probably going to say no. Jason probably has terrible taste in cookies anyways.

[Red hair? Check. Strange uniform? Check. Spear? Check. With those, Frederick can be fairly sure he's approaching the right person, and he gives her a polite nod as he does so]

Excuse me, but would you be Kyoko?

[prayed]

[Kyoko glances up at Fredrick as he approaches, taking a bite out of a cookie before answering him.]

Sure. You need something?

[milord]

[He nods, taking a seat near her. It'd be rude to stand when she's seated, after all]

I've heard a great deal about you from Amelia, and she's advised me you're trustworthy. I trust her judgement, so with that being the case, I was hoping you could advise me... why have so many people suddenly gathered here?

[prayed]

Huh? That girl...

[Kyoko blinks, momentarily confused and perhaps even a little embarrassed by his statement. She's used to hearing rumors about herself, but naturally, they're never anything good. Then again, she's never really had any friends to say good things about her.

Either way, she shakes it off after a moment, growing more serious as she considers his question.]

Hah? I'm surprised she didn't tell you about it. I'm pretty sure she's somewhere around here, y'know...

[A shrug and a couple more bites, picking the easiest point to start:]

Well, whatever. You noticed the way the retrieval units have been acting up, right? That's 'cause everybody decided to skip their collar checks, y'know. So like, while those things were malfunctioning, a few of the people here managed to nab some of the junk they would've used for the collar checks.

[milord]

[Kyoko, you have his undivided attention. He looks SUPER SERIOUS. ... granted he always looks super serious, but that's hardly the point. Frederick nods as she speaks, poker face hiding his shame at not being more on top of the happenings of the tower. Then again, with so much of the tower being quite literally foreign to him, maybe it's to be expected]

What sort of things were we able to acquire? Have they been useful in any way?

[prayed]

The collar fluid that they use for check ups. I dunno what's so important about them, but Jason's pretty pissed about it, so it's gotta be pretty important. Problem is that we can't do anything with it, 'cause if it just melts right through anything made out of film, y'know.

[milord]

Hmm... and as recent events have shown, there are very few things in this tower not actually made of film.

So is everyone meeting here to determine how to proceed? That would make sense, I suppose.

[prayed]

Yeah, but the stuff they got downstairs is real. They're gonna try and drop down that elevator shaft into the admin levels to get to it.

[She nods towards the elevator.]

Probably, the only thing that'll come of all this is everyone in this room getting themselves killed.

[She says this, but she doesn't sound particularly worried.]

[milord]

[He looks over to the elevator, than back to her. Then back, then forth]

I'm assuming everyone has brought some rope, or perhaps there is a ladder within the shaft?

[prayed]

[She chuckles and shakes her head.]

They didn't think it through that far, y'know. They're banking on it being easy to get down there.

[milord]

And what of yourself? Are you going as well?

[There is a very obvious lack of rope with you, Kyoko]

[prayed]

Sure. What sorta Puella Magi would I be if I just stood around and let everyone else have all the fun?

[She offers him a crooked grin, like they were just playing a game.]

Probably, I'm just gonna join the rest of those idiots in diving down and hoping for the best.

[milord]

[Frederick is very rarely speechless, but Kyoko has him very close to it]

And... that is all? You're seriously just going to jump in?

[prayed]

[Her grin broadens.]

If that's what it takes, sure. Well, they should have elevator cables in there, y'know. I should be able to use those to climb down as far as I need to.

[except for the part where they cut off several feet in, but she doesn't exactly know that yet.]

[milord]

[There are so many things that could go wrong with this, Frederick isn't sure where to start. Then again, he won't exactly raise morale by nitpicking]

[... but he can't help except be himself, at least a little]

I... see. Well, please at least try to take some precautions. I would hate to see misfortune befall someone so... so spirited.

[That's one way to put it]

[Despite the gravity of the situation, she can't help but laugh at that.]

If you've got any ideas, I'm all ears.

Hmm...

[He's never exactly had to descend a cliff, let alone a mechanical shaft, so he's not entirely sure what to expect. Still, there has to be something, right?]

... as morbid as it may be to suggest, if possible you should try to space out those who are going. If someone at the top were to fall, they could easily take out everyone below them otherwise.

[prayed]

[She nods in agreement, making a mental note of it.]

With this many people, somebody's bound to lose their grip.

[Her grin finally fades. Despite her flippant attitude, she's taking his words seriously. She'll need to be careful not to let it happen to her too.]

...if that happens, there won't be any saving them.

[milord]

[He's slow to respond, as the words have a sour taste when they leave his mouth. But he's ever the practical one, and so it is his duty]

... yes. It wouldn't be prudent to risk a second to save one. Losing one ally is bad enough.

[prayed]

[She's silent for a moment. He's right, of course, and it's that fact that frustrates her. It's one thing to let a stranger become a sacrificial piece, but letting a companion act as one leaves a bad taste in her mouth.

But she'll worry about dealing with that when the time comes. Instead, she changes the subject.]
