[Massive Infiltration Plot] || [Semi-Open]

Characters: All the characters who signed up for this infiltration, too many to write them all here. Characters who stay behind and do not infiltrate can tag into the mingle thread.
Setting: The Cafeteria, then the Elevator's Shaft and finally the Administrative Floors. The 29th of July, in the morning.
Format: Action most likely.

Summary: A month ago Ganondorf planned an infiltration to go and pay a visit to Riki's floor-- Given what has happened these last weeks, the 'Evil Alliance' has accepted to allow Enoch and the people he gathered to use the infiltration in order to do their own thing. Namely, retrieve scientific instruments from Jason's laboratory, so as to study the Collar Fluid. The infiltration will begin on the 1st floor, the Cafeteria.

The first thread is a traditional mingle thread, happening before the infiltration and briefing begin; anyone can tag into it. The second thread is a quick briefing before the infiltration starts, where Enoch and Ganondorf will explain to everyone what to do and what to expect in case they don't already know. Then there are the seven group threads, one for each individual team infiltrating.

[After all the sorting through things and other groups went down, Dave approaches the shaft, keeping the glow of his power over time a dimmer than usual. Normally he let it blaze as brightly as possible. But that was just painting a target on his back, he steps over to the bag of real weapons.] Okay, who wants the weapon? Actually, let's do it this way.

What weapon do we all have in common? I'm best with a sword or blade in general.

[Riku is shooting the bag a bit of a sour look - he's had a little moment of Oh- when he had realized just why Ganondorf's sword had seemed so familiar (He's never ever going to tell him, but he has to give him points for smartness). Still, his reasons to distrust Ganon are various and valid and he is really torn about taking anything provided the man.

There is no harm in answering Dave's question though.]

[Weapon sorting, huh? Smart move. And seeing how Riku's still got his Keyblade in his grip, he'll go ahead and hold it up at chest level.]

Count me in as another sword wielder.

[He flicks his wrist, letting the weapon fade from his grip. After all, he needs both hands to climb.]

Me too.

[Seemed like they were all on the same page so far. Was that a good sign? Hopefully. Sora decides to think that it is, anyway.]

C-C-Combo breaker. [John jabs a thumb over his shoulder at the overly-large hammer strapped to his back.]

Even if this is no use down there, just give me something big and heavy that I can swing and I will be good to go. Or I can just use my fists if it comes to that.

Sword.

[He points to the katana hanging behind his back, putting John's combo-break back on the all sword team track.]

I can take another one, depending on what happens. A katana would be best, I'm not as good with two handed blades. I'm also proficient with Submachine guns. [He removes the safety lock on it, adjusting the string of bullets.]

I'm also a bit of an odd one out here. I use knitting needles. So...

[[Maybe she should invest in learning how to use a sword.]]

I can always find something down there to use, I'm sure.

[[She hopes.]]

Sword it is. Code word when you need someone to toss you the blade is 'Adaigo'. Weird enough to confuse the other side. [He shrugs and pulls a sword from the bag, hefting it to balance against his shoulder, feeling the weight of it. It was a good blade, not too heavy. He waves his other hand and peers down the shaft with a frown.]

Probably will find something down there. Or not. Who knows with these guys. [He eyes the way down a little longer and looks back.] Anyone who wants to go first, go for it. Or I'll go. Up to you.

I'll go.

[Normally he would call up a giant floating snake, but Naoya wasn't leaving anything to chance, so when the bluishe energy around him manifests and the Persona emerges from the sea of his soul it's..]

Lucifer!

Oh, so you're taking me out to play?...this'll be fun.

[A giant, naked man that's nearly three times his size. Did we mention naked? Calmly, he grabs the floating man's leg chain and uses it to hoist himself.]

I can carry a few of you if we need it.

[Because who WOULDN'T want to ride holding the chains of a giant naked demon man.]

Maybe we should send something down to scout ahead too.

Errr, I have got my own ride. So I'm good! And as for a scout...

[He pulls two red and white balls off the strap of his fanny pack, releasing an Altaria and a Lampent in two flashes of white light.]

Chandel here should be good for that. [He gestures to the floating lamp.] She won't exactly be able to tell us anything since she can't talk, but if nothing else she can light the way. [He rubs at the side of her face affectionately.] Go on, okay? We will be right behind you. Stay up front with Naoya.

[The Lampent coos in response before offering a salute and disappearing into the shaft. She's not going too far yet though, merely hovering just out of sight and waiting for the rest of the group. John meanwhile, clambers onto the back of the cloud-bird. Definitely better than giant naked man. Cloud bird-dragon is the way to go, man.]

I can glide, but I don't know how successful I'd be in such a tight space.

[He looks up at the giant, naked man. Huh...]

So, I might have to hitch a ride after all. We'll see how it goes.

[He'd definitely prefer riding on that big, fluffy bird, though. It's a bit less eerie.]

[Naoya for his end looks down to see if he can spot the end.]

I wonder how far this goes...

[The cables go down some ways--but somewhere below the cafeteria level they hook into the wall and stop. There are strange devices that seem built to decouple an elevator from its cables--this is where the switchover from residential functions to administrative functions occurs for this elevator shaft, and it will require crossing this cable-less gap.]

[OU!ku isn't that surprised or disturbed by the sight of Lucifer - he's seen Personas before - but he is kinda intrigued by the monsters that John had...summoned? Or was released the better word?

Either way, he joins Naoya in starring down the elevator, grimacing slightly when he spots the gap.]

There is some kind of gap ahead, so it would probably be ideal if we all managed to share rides. If we can't, I volunteer to climb.

[He knows how to take a fall after all.]

[Sora, meanwhile, is surprised at the sight of Lucifer even though he's seen a Persona before. This one was...huge. Okay, well, so were Yu's, but. This one was a giant naked guy. It was a little weird.

The bird, though - THAT looked cool! So did the other monsters that John had. Sora wanted to ask about them, but he knew that now wasn't a good time to do that. They needed to figure out a good way to get down there.

He had to remember to do that later, though.]

It sounds like climbing probably isn't all that safe...

[He rests his chin on his hand for a moment, thinking. Meanwhile, Riku's (the one his age) Ryu Dragon - which had been hanging around Sora for awhile, actually - makes a noise, catching Sora's attention...and giving him an idea.]

Wait, I know! He--[Sora gestures to the Ryu Dragon - had Riku ever given it a name?] can carry some of us, too.

Ah! I can also offer a form of transportation down. [[Rose pulls out a pokeball and in a flash of light, a rather large dragon appears, cooing and snuffling at all the new people curiously.]]

I'm sure Vodka could carry at least two other people.

[[The moment she says carry, the Dragonite picks her up, almost cradling her in his arms.]]

...his shoulders and back are free, at least.

Climbing down? Let's keep in mind the admins are dicks and our powers are all fake. [Dave snaps his pokeballs off his belt and tosses them up. Another large dragon rises up to his left and a new dragon snaps at the air as he shakes himself and turns his gaze onto the others.]

Anyone who needs to, climb abroad dragon express. [Dave climbs up onto Bro the Salamence's back and gives his side a pat.] Can take at least another on Bro, and Snoop there can do the same as Vod- Why did you name your dragon that. Of all things you just randomly decided with a hey you know what would be dope, 'vodka'.

Climbing doesn't require powers.

[Though he isn't going to argue that further than that, now that it's been established that they have the space for all of them to ride rather than to try their luck with the cables.

Riku takes a step towards Snoop, starring up at the large dragon, before greeting it with a nod. ...He assume its tame, but given its size it does seem prudent to be respectful.]

...Do you really want to discuss naming choices now?

[Of all times? Seriously? ...Though for the record, OU!ku thinks that Vodka, Bro and Snoop are equally ridiculous names for dragons of all things.

...Then again, this is the guy who named his own pet-partner 'Highwind'.

Said pet-partner just seems to consider this the perfect time to materialize himself in and very pointedly land right on top of Riku's head; he is not going to be left behind this time around. :|

(Riku himself may or may not be sending a very sour look to the bat on his head, before muttering 'Oh, fine.' under his breath. If Highwind wants to invite himself along, there isn't much he can do to stop him at this point anyways.)]

Just our luck that we'd wind up with a team full of dragons.

[Riku snickers, reaching down to pet his Ryu Dragon, who gives a squeak in response.]

I think he can carry one more person besides Sora, if anyone wants to hop on.

[He's a bit on the tall side, so he doesn't wanna weigh his buddy down if he can avoid it, even if he can probably take it. Instead, he's moseying towards Dave's dragons, eying that Salamence closely. And when Highwind shows up, this Riku chuckles.]

And another joins the gang. [Cue a very excited trill from Riku's dragon. Hi!]

[Well you guys have your partners, Naoya's gonna hang out with naked guy and be perfectly okay with this. But this seemingly unending pit is bothering him, as are the suddenly missing cables.

Hmmm...]

This could be a long descent...

[He turns around to the others.]

...and who knows what they might have planned or could just be expecting.

[He can't rule out alarms or things setup without expecting them to barge in. In that case...well he may have an idea. It's stupid, but it may just work. Ergo, in the most serious of tones, he points towards the ceiling.]

Let's toss them all in.

[Look, if he's going to die being squished falling somewhere, he might as well try to do it and say 'well at least I tried not to fall into a flat pancake'. They could turn into film, but it would still be film. At least they have to try. ]

[Sora snickers a little when Highwind materializes next to Riku, but he's quietly glad that he insisted that Excalibur stay behind. What they were doing was dangerous - really, really dangerous - and he didn't want the little guy to get hurt. Thankfully, Excalibur is a good listener. Usually.

...right?

But once the chatter about their partners is over, Sora starts paying close attention to what Naoya is saying. He was right - it was gonna be risky, so what could they...

Wait, did he just suggest throwing down hospital beds?]

You mean, like...as a cushion in case we fall?

Hmm...]

That's a great idea!

[Team "Terrible at thinking things through", assemble!]

[The Altaria flaps over to the shaft and John glances over the edge and down into the darkness, an unsure expression crossing his face.]

I dunno... Like it sounds like a pretty good idea but... [He leans back, holding up two fingers.] One: with how deep it is I don't know if it'll make much of a difference. And two: we're like... what? The fifth group to go down? We run the risk of hitting somebody else and mattresses are kinda heavy.

Basically, I think we might end up doing more harm than good with that. As long as we are on the dragons, we should be fine. We have more than enough to cover all of us. So let's just pair up and get going, yeah?

[[Rose smirks a little at the suggestion, even more so when John lists why they shouldn't go with that idea.]]

Though amusing it may be in the end, John's probably right.

If we want their help and not the stink eye, yeah let's not. [Dave offers up as he extends an arm out to help up whoever decides to climb on Bro with him. Snoop bends down, making it easier for Riku to climb on with a little tilt of her head. Dave keeps his dragons exercised and well fed (as he can), so long flights won't be too big of an issue.

Dave takes a moment to secure the blade to his back, tucking Caldescratch away into his coat. Now he's good to go.] Let's mount up and head out, speaking of the other groups they might need a hand down there.
