Hammer to Fall
Characters: Fawkes and you!
Setting: Floor Fifteen - Workshop, daytime
Format: Starting in prose, will match.
Summary: Fawkes grows tired of being unarmed, and goes to rectify this.
Warnings: Workin' in a workshop?
Between the various incidents that have gone on since he's been here, Fawkes has determined that this place, like the Capital Wasteland, seems like it will require a more violent approach - especially with the newer residents - namely, the monsters.
Lacking his weapons from home, the best thing to do in a situation like this is improvise.
Fawkes is currently rooting around the workshop for tools and parts he can use to craft a bludgeon of some sort - one of the tables has broken and warped metal bedframe pieces spread upon it.
...kind of a pity that the majority of these tools are sized for smaller hands than Fawkes', but he'll attempt to make do.

"What is this place?" she called out.

This girl, however, she was a child - perhaps she simply knew no better. "I suppose under normal conditions, this would be a place for working people, yes." He stepped around her, back to the table he'd set his materials out on before, and placed the tape and mallet there, then began to look over the parts of the bedframe.

"What are you making?"

What did stop her however was when she noticed a giant...green....thing. Rooting through the tools. Which caused her to immediately let out a yelp of surprise and ducked under the table, watching the...thing, with curiosity and amazement.
Seriously what was that thing

The yelp and scuffling noise got him to turn around, then scan the room for others - there wasn't anyone when he first entered the room... Failing to notice Echidna under the table, he frowns at the room at large.
"Is anyone there?"
Gotta make sure this isn't the tower screwing with his head.

Echidna watched for a moment and remained silent. Whoever or whatever it was, it was intelligent! So maybe it wasn't a monster?
Another moment of consideration and silence later, and Echidna poked her head out juuust a little from under the table. "Uh....h, hi? What are you?"
no subject
No. Well. Maybe. If it is a Jade, it is not the one he knew. He frowns a little, both at that, and the reaction he got from the girl.
"Hello - I am a meta-human, and I have no intentions of causing you harm."
Ignoring the fact that he's here to make a weapon...

... wow. What a big guy. But he doesn't have a red collar from what Link can see, so he can't be all that bad.
"Hello?" he calls, a little cautiously because he doesn't want to startle this person or anything.

Fawkes looks up when he hears the voice, then waves the hammering hand a bit. "Greetings, little boy!" Fawkes' voice, however, lacks the caution, and is quite loud and boisterous.
no subject
"What are you doing?" he asks curiously.

... whoops I picked the wrong icon there
No worries!

When she sees him she gives him a bright smile and a curious glance.] Nice to see you in person. What are you trying to make?
no subject
[He pulls down a mallet and tape, then glances back at the table he'd laid things out on.] I am attempting to make myself a bludgeon to defend myself with.
no subject
That's a good idea. We are sadly lacking in weaponry around here, huh?
no subject
We definitely are. It would seem my weapons from home were too big for the trunk here, so I must make do.
[With that, he plods over to the table, and begins to sort through the metal pieces.] I do miss that laser I found, though.

It made him feel a little less angry, but it wasn't really working. "Sir?" He asked politely, "Do you know how to make knives?"
no subject
"I believe I could make a crude one. Why do you need a knife?"

"I shall," he answers, standing back up. "There's a grinding machine on that table," he adds, pointing. The thing's safety parts seem a bit ricket, though - but if things get bad, he can attempt to take over.
"Let me see if I can find you a pair of goggles."

There's a pause before he looks back at the man. "I am Fawkes, by the way."
