[Ryoji looks over to the other figure, immediately recognizing Minato's voice. He's so relieved that he can still hear, and that everyone can still speak. He'd smile if it was possible.]

Minato-kun. You're alright.

[Hopefully Minato can tell that this is Ryoji speaking to him, even with his telltale scarf missing.]

What happened? Why is everything... like this?

Yeah, I am.

[When he heard Ryoji's voice coming from the other figure, Minato feels relieved. Some of the tension seemed to have lessen, now that one of his friends are fine.

As far as he can tell.]

I think this is reality, if what they meant by "glamour failure" is what I suspected.

[Ryoji feels the same amount of relief, knowing that Minato is okay. They haven't seen each other since Minato's fated death, and even though Ryoji knew he'd still come back, it was a little nerve-wracking.

Still, he should be paying more attention to the matter at hand.]

Glamour failure... it sounds like it was some sort of illusion set up by the Tower. So we technically weren't brought back?

[Minato knows it's not his fault, but he feels like apologising to Ryoji for that.

But right now, they need to focus on the matter at hand.]

I know they brought back just our souls. So we are back, just not in the bodies we know, fake or not.

[As long Minato is still himself, he got over that replicated body revelations a while ago. Being in a wireframe body is still so strange, though.]

[Ryoji isn't going to let Minato apologize for that. He's just relieved he could be there for him at that time.]

I see... I'm just surprised. I didn't think a Shadow could really have a soul.

[Ryoji had gotten over it as well. He had suspected his body wasn't really his own from the beginning, after all. He had just assumed that their copied bodies fire more than wires and gel.]

Why wouldn't you have a soul?

[The way Minato see it, Ryoji definitely have one, Shadow or not. Shadows are fragments of human thoughts and hidden desires, Ryoji's more than that.]

I don't know. Because I'm not really human, I guess.

...Though you did give me something that could be called a soul, didn't you?

[There's a hint of a smile in his voice, still grateful for the gift Minato granted him over the course of ten years.]

Humans aren't the only species that can have a soul.

[For example, Koromaru. And this tower is a pretty good example due to all of the residents here.]

...Yes, I did. [Somehow, he knows Ryoji's referring to the time he knows him as Pharos.] I didn't know it at first, but I'm glad for it.

That is very true... There are a lot of people here who aren't human, but I guess they all have souls.

[He nods and smiles, thankful that Minato understands.]

I'm glad too. It was a lot to give me, and you didn't need to do it.

[Well, Minato didn't know at the time that he's, unintentionally, helping someone to develop a soul.

...But there's no regret in it, once he knew.]

Even if I didn't need to, it still happened. [Beside, what's past is past.]

[Ryoji knew that Minato probably wouldn’t have regretted it, anyways, but knowing that would probably cheer him up anyways. Even now, he’s offering a smile.]

I think it’s amazing that it did happen. To change something that wasn’t even close to human like that… not to mention everything else you have and will accomplish.

[Minato is too modest to say so, but Ryoji knows that he’s a true hero.]
