[Everyone had been losing their cool. Not just him.]

[It didn't make Morty feel that much better, because all around, it didn't matter what everyone else was doing -- he should have done better. But this girl who was running and screaming down the hall, looking for Nick and Mr. Edgeworth... ugh. He couldn't berate her for doing something that he himself had done, but it made him feel so miserable that there was anyone in the Tower who had been brought to this. The anonymity was disorienting, it made him feel so alone (as if the disabling of his future sight wasn't lonesome enough). Maybe, though, that was this girl's problem too. Maybe she just needed someone to talk to.]

[Besides, Morty kind of did, too.]

[ Maya froze in place, pretty much wary of what's going on. And it's surprising to hear an unfamiliar voice, too. ]
