[Tear looked over the other girl before smiling a bit.]

Almost. I still don't have wings, you know.

They're not real wings. Just the same stuff in a different shape.

[mysterical]

Perhaps that's true, but it makes it easier to distinguish you from the other people in the Tower.

[heavenscorpse]

I guess it does.

[mysterical]

Are you...will you be okay?

[heavenscorpse]

Uh-huh. I shouldn't be, but... I'm a little happy about being the same as everyone.

[mysterical]

[Tear blinked a bit, trying to figure that out.] You... you're happy that you're now like the rest of the residents of the tower? Is that what you're talking about?

[heavenscorpse]

Uh-huh. I didn't think I was a person before.

And this- it's strange, but everyone here has a soul, right?

[mysterical]

[Something about the way that V/V says that has Tear thinking about Luke's attitude. Maybe this is the perfect time to ask someone else.]

Can I ask you a question, V/V? Is it really that important to fit in? Don't you think that individuality is important too? I wouldn't have recognized you without your wings, after all.

[heavenscorpse]

That's not really what I mean... People are all really different and I love that, but... I want to be a person at all. [She shakes er head.] You wouldn't treat a flower like you treat a human being.

[mysterical]

[Tear is confused.]

What? N-no, a flower is a flower, but... You're....

[heavenscorpse]

I'm a flower, too.

[mysterical]

H-how is that possible? [It never even occurred to Tear that the other girl was lying. Out of everything else she'd heard here, it could have been true.]

[heavenscorpse]

A parasitic flower. I absorbed people's thoughts.

[mysterical]

[Tear just stands there and looks at the other girl, a little surprised. It takes her a moment before she can speak again.]

And...since you've been here?

[heavenscorpse]

[She shakes her wireframe head.]

Just at home. I don't have any special powers in this form.

[mysterical]

[After a minute, Tear is intensely curious about what her new friend can do, but now is not the time to have this discussion.]

If things calm down, I'd like to have another talk. However, right now, we need to stay close to those we can trust. Are you alright or would you like to move around with Luke and I?

[heavenscorpse]

I'm okay. Please look for people who need more help than me.

[mysterical]

[Tear reaches out and squeezes V/V's arm for a moment.] Stay safe, okay? The situation is pretty hectic, but it won't stay that way. I'll find you when it's calmed down.

[heavenscorpse]

Thank you. [V/V puts her hand over Tear's on her arm for a moment, then lets go.] You stay safe, too.

[mysterical]

[It's touching to have someone else concerned for her safety and Tear can't help but smile, though she's sure it's lost in the fact that she has no facial features.]

I'd be a horrible soldier if I died before my mission was complete, V/V. I plan on it.

I believe you.

[With that, V/V turns to go look for someone else to help.]
